Have you ever played guitar hero on duel mode? I think it could be a good idea to put this into Osu!, it would be a new multiplayer mode in which you collect "items"* while doing combos, and then you can "throw" them to your adversaries D: pressing 1,2,3,4 or 5 (number of player) on your keyboard to make their gameplay more difficult.
*Items> Flashlight, hard mode, 2x speed,... each of them temporarily.
