Thanks much for the mod. I'll see what I can do about your taiko set whenever possible.bananannian wrote:

ONI IS TOO EASY URMURGURD A slow song comes with an easier Oni difficulty in my opinion.
Your SV (approach rate) is a bit slow for my taste... Maybe 1.5x or 1.6x? Yeah, that's doable.
From AIMod, your uninherited timing points conflict with Kantan diff, i.e. Kantan timing point is off. You might wanna check some of those bpm/offsets. Fixed, though I was originally trying to fix this before. Just couldn't figure out what was wrong exactly.
I feel like with a song as relaxing as this one kiai time is not necessary, and the current one is pretty awkwardly placed as well. Kiai Time is usually used for an upbeat part of the song, or so I've noticed, and this part of the song is more upbeat than the rest of the song.
[Kantan]
00:14:418 (13) - move to 00:13:995, since this is the beginning of a new section, onbeat should be mapped. Moved, but without the beat in the original spot, it overall felt very empty. So I added the note back.
00:23:294 (23,24) - change to kd, match guitar pitch, first note being k also matches snares Done.
00:30:902 (7,8) - change to dK? Done.
00:41:045 (21,22) - change to dk, match onbeat as well as synth pitch Done.
00:52:034 - add k, this gap is weird imo Yeah, I agree.
00:56:260 (14) - change to d, match onbeat bass drum kick Listening closer, I concur, doctor.
[Futsuu]
00:06:388 (12,16) - change to d, match marimba low note Done.
00:14:840 (26) - change to k, k/K would match synth pitch, but personally I don't feel like there's enough emphasis here to warrant a K Sounds better, yes.
00:25:407 (45) - change to d, match synth pitch Done.
00:51:611 (8,9) - change to dk would match bass note, your choice though. My choice is I agree.
00:57:950 (21,22,23) - these sliders play essentially like one long slider and wouldn't have the effect you want. You might want to either;
1. Merge them into one long slider. There is definitely distinction between the beats, and one long slider wouldn't cut it here.
2. Replace them with 3 D's. Doesn't quite work here in my opinion.
3. Reduce length of first two to turn them into 1/2 note sliders. Decided with this one.
[Muzukashii]
00:07:092 (18,22,26) - it would be best not to place notes immediately after sliders (keep in mind sliders are essentially 1/12 runs) Feels slightly empty, but it feels nicer to play.
00:11:882 (32,33) - change to k k, match marimba high note Fixed.
00:13:572 (39,40) - ^ ^
00:14:277 (41,42) - change to kD, dD is unrankable with this bpm (yes, everyone can play this just fine, it's just a conventional rule we have to follow ) Wasn't quite aware of this. Fixed, and noted.
00:21:039 (59,60,61) - change to dk k, match synth pitch Fixed.
00:27:802 (2) - change to d, match synth pitch Matched.
00:33:296 (20) - I don't find it necessary to emphasize this note, k works as well Thought originally it was emphasized, but it appears after a few consequential listens, I was wrong.
00:40:058 (42) - either change to k to match synth pitch, or move to 00:40:199 to match onbeat Went with first option, as the second option would end this passage feeling rather incomplete.
00:41:749 (45,52) - change to k, match synth Fixed.
00:51:188 (10,11,12,13,14,15,16) - this is pretty monotonous, suggest recomposing Recomposed, I agree, it didn't seem to fit with Muzukashii or really anything.
00:57:950 (34,35,36) - see futsuu see Futsuu onto comments.
[Oni]
00:06:246 - change this run to
to match marimba pitch Good ear, fixed.
00:07:937 and 00:09:628 and 00:11:318 and 00:13:009 - same as above Same as above.
00:14:277 (42,43) - see Muzukashii See Muzukashii.
00:19:771 (58,59,60,61,62,63) - sounds pretty monotonous here as well, suggest recomposing Definitely changed. It feels better I believe.
00:23:153 (72) - change to k, match synth pitch Fixed.
00:40:058 (137,138) - change to kd, match synth pitch Fixed.
00:46:680 (5,6) - maybe change to kk? This would emphasize the remaining d's as bass drum kick, up to you though. Changed, but also altered this group of notes slightly to try and match the pitches.
00:49:779 (19,20,21,22) - change to dk kd to follow previous patterns Feels smoother now.
00:57:105 (49) - I prefer this note as k to match snares, up to you though I believe a d is being kept here.
00:57:950 (51) - change to k, and change 00:59:641 (63) to K instead. Was contemplating on the end bit for a while, and after some thinking, it seems to end the song better.
