I really hope I did word the title correctly.

When you do a volume change, say you use mouse, you would use the scroller. Scroll once and the volume indicator comes up. Scroll again and the volume changes.

With keyboard when using Ctrl+Shift and arrow keys, this also applies. I don't see the point of this which in my opinion only adds more hassle. The key combinations the user does already indicates that he/she wants to change the volume. This is all assuming that the "two step" activation is applied in case the user change the volume by mistake.

My request: Get rid of the "two step activation" thing when the user is using Ctrl+Shift to change the volume.

+1, it's really annoying to have to press it twice now, I miss the old volume, not cos of looks, but cos that one was way more responsive, as it changed with just 1 keypress. With the new one, you can't change during a spinner or slider for example, as it instantly goes away if you have a button pressed.
