Currently, when a map pack is in the qualified stage, the general consensus is that the maps are ready for ranking and is undergoing a final quality check. When some problems are spotted within a map, the entire pack is then taken out of the qualified pool and put back into pending. If there is a problem with a particular difficulty, why is it not possible to mark that single map out and put it back into pending instead of the entire pack? If no problems are spotted with the other difficulties, surely they can stay instead of being wiped along with the problem diff? This seems to me to be pointlessly punishing towards good diffs when they usually would stay the same till ranked anyway.

that's not how difficulties work.

How do you mean? Could you elaborate on that?

This will never happen.

If you don't want to risk losing scores, then don't play the map until it is safely ranked.

It has been denied before and will always be denied.

Well, what's the reasoning behind why it won't happen? By your words it seems like there are reasons for removing the entire map pack.

Reasonings:

Any small change to anything can affect all diffs.
The mapper could change something unknowingly. This is a safety.
replays can get messed up, even if nothing changed.

This used to happen in the past, but problems kept arising from it, so everything gets removed now, especially with how the qualification system works. It makes sense to start everything over fresh.

Maps all belong to the Mapset, if one thing changes, it counts as the whole thing changing. specific diffs don't even matter.

Ah, I see. I appreciate you giving an answer beyond the standard 'This won't happen'. Thank you.
