Ideally the maps would be at the point where they are neither easy to fc or hard to pass. Something where a miss or 2 wouldnt be surprising, and an FC would be moderately impressive in a multiplayer.Estaryo wrote:

So either tiebreaker needs to be harder or mappool has to be made easier.
I don't have problems regarding the mappools though, its hard but also challenging.

Diluli cup is 1000-1999 PP and you assign maps that aren't passable by those players? Please, once again, terrible mappool selection.
This is the last time i change maps cause in tournaments are not supposed to be easy. it is a completion to see who is the best not let see who can pick up a map on the day of the tournament and see who can FC it. im sorry if u didnt mean it like that but this is how it supposed to be. The maps in that cup has been changed to low 4.0s but that is the last time i change any maps cause it all about how u work to a map. so please if anyone has constructive responses please tell me cause i cannot just keep replacing maps that is not how its supposed to work it will hold us back from continuing the tourny

I agree with your sentiment that tournaments are not supposed to be easy, but players should at least be capable enough to pass all maps in question. For a 1000 PP player, a 4.95* map is completely out of his range, which is total overkill. I would even argue that 4.95* is out of passable range for a 1999 player as well. Do you really want a tournament where two players fail maps, especially in a format where ALL maps need to be played? i remember 4.95 stars being really quite difficult at 1500pp if my milestone date for it is accurate. definitely passable but also out of my comfort zone. That said its probably a bit too hard for 1000-1999 cup, id probably stay around 4.2-4.4 stars for that range, being passable shouldnt be the goal, being comfortably passable should be...

But the maps were better before ;P.I can believe B's, but if you had S's on songs that are worth 4.5* - 5*, you should have pp scores of more than 100pp. Which should also imply that you have the potential to have over 2000 pp and are thus in the wrong cup. Now, 4.5*, I can't ever claim that those are not passable by 1000pp-1999pp players when I myself passed Caramel Heaven [Nyquill's Insane] in a multiplayer setting. However, I have yet to pass a song above 4.75*, and I know how much I struggled with 5* and up.

If I decide I can't get good enough in time for the tourney, I'll have to decide before the registration deadline right?
