Hello! I have a strange request.

I need someone to stimulate me in becoming better at this game. Or at least to not give up. Something like a... senpai. Yeah.
I know this game is all about teaching yourself basicly, but since I had a rather fast climb over 3 months, I have gotten used to gaining a substantial amount of pp everyday. But now, the moment has finally come where I can't get anymore pp.

I have asked around alot about what to do to get better and I have gotten pretty diverse answers.
Some say that I have to play maps I can barely pass, others say I have to play maps that I can almost FC until I FC them.
Some also said I just have to play songs I like, and I also heared about playing DT.

I did all these things, but I get frustrated when I can't do it. I sorta give up, and play maps that I can FC easy. But that does not give any pp and I feel like it doesn't make me better at all.

Then I discovered that everytime someone of a (what I consider) decent rank compliments me on my play, I feel much better and get frustrated much less for a certain amount of time. These are the moments that I get pp, or at least have fun playing the game.

So, is there someone that would be so kind as to look at how I play or something and tell me about what I do wrong or good? It would give me more motivation c:

Again, I know this is a strange request but I am a strange person so it fits me perfectly :p

but I can try to give 'advice'

Thanks for the advice.

But as I said I get frustrated while learning. For some reason I expect me to be able to do whatever I try the first time I try it.
If I can't get it done, I get more angry at every consecutive try until my stresslevels rise to a disproporsional amount which in turn leads to an outburst of rage.

Try to remember that this is a game once in a while. Taking things less seriously = less frustration.

I actually have to agree with the bankrupt guy - if you're getting stressed out over failing, then you have to work on your self-esteem, not on the game itself. It's just a bloody program made for fun - remember that, mate.

I have pretty low self-esteem yes. That is why I play games instead of go out :D.

Oh well. Thanks anyways. ^^

Hey, if anyone can joke around with the Greeks, it's the Serbs.... I mean our peoples love each other, so it gives us the right to bash each other as well. :p

if you only play hard rock you'll be pigeonholing yourself just as hard as if you only play DT. It's exactly like playing only DT, you will rank up, it's just the results are not instant and require a little more practice before you start setting scores than DT does.

To clarify, DT players farm ezpp on ar8 tv size shits, and in much the same fashion HR players farm ezpp off every Drum n Bass map.

for ACTUALLY getting better, healthy mix of modless along with at least one favorite actual difficulty mod like hard rock or DT [hidden doesnt count] is probably your best bet for all-around improvement.

But that's just the minimum, if you find every mod enjoyable in its own right, you could choose to dabble in all of them and become one of those rare gems that can set amazing scores on everything from modless to dt to flashlight, like rrtyui
