First, before i go any further, unless you are willing to put the time into trying this method then you might as well stop reading now, because as easy as it sounds this will take up a good sum of time to accomplish.

Anyways, moving right along many who play mania, including myself know that learning it is a pain the butt, because it takes A LOT of time trying to learn all of those complicated patterns and what not. For those who play mania whether they be beginners or even pro players, it always helps to try and learn a new key mode (especially if your like me and decide to 4 Key it all the way, then later figure out if your trying to be one of the best, you've got learn more than just 4 Key...). :o

This training system is something i have personally tested on myself and i have had very promising results as far as learning all the key difficulties went. The amount of time it takes is varied, as all people will learn at different speeds and have different outcomes. For the most part though i had a fairly decent outcome within the month i tested this in.

For the first step you need to start as if this is your first time playing osu!mania, this will help you to try more key modes even though you might already be good at some already.

Once you've done that now you need to start practicing 4 key. This key mode is by far the simplest of the 5 modes available and will prove to help you when trying to learn the other key modes.

When practicing in 4 key, instead of using your two pointer and middle fingers, only use one hand. this will help with finger independency and will strengthen the hand(s) you are using to play with. BUT, when doing this you must make sure you practice with both hands equally to prevent imbalances from occurring. Doing this will help A LOT when you go into the other modes.

Once you have a good grip on the 4 key mode you'll need to start moving up to 5 Key. For this key mode i would strongly suggest that you go to the key bindings for 5 Key and switch it to where you don't use the space bar to play (however this does vary from person to person, so just do what feels right for you).

Once you've gotten a decent handle on your five key skill you'll want to move on up to 6 key. when playing on this mode i found that it was more efficient to play using the preset key bindings for this mode (but as stated before its completely up to you). Not much of the training changes from here on up to 8 key, but I'll still list the others as accurately as i can.

After you've gotten good at 6 key you should be able to move up to 7 key. this is where things become a bit complicated if your just starting out in it. For the key bindings... you'll have to find out what method works best for you, as I've tested multiple ways of playing and their all pretty good for the most part.

Finally once you feel like your ready, you can move up to what i personally consider the hardest of the 5 modes, 8 key. This mode is basically 4 key mode with double vision. The reason i suggested playing with one hand in 4 key mode was to help you prepare for this mode as it should make things go a bit smoother for you in this mode.

In a final note, I'm not sure if this will work for you or not, HOWEVER!! I do believe this will help you A LOT if your having trouble with osu!mania.

Thanks for reading!!! :)

If you have any questions feel free to post them and I'll do my best to answer them!! 8-)
