I will mod this later for sure since I'm also a modder in the Christmas queue :3

Just a quick note: I think the difficulty names aren't rankable like that because of the actual Ranking Criteria:

I cannot see that the difficulty names indicate any level of difficulty, they are just colours afterall... You could think about giving the highest diff a cool name or some custom names that make clear we are talking about a Cup-Rain spread in this mapset.

I can change the names anytime, even in the last minute so I won't touch them now. Instead I will ask Deif is he accepts them. When I chatted with ursa he accepted them back then before mapping.

Ursa is pro mapper and modder for sure but the ranking criteria makes this diff-names unrankeable. So names can't be like that because of ranking criteria even if Ursa said something other. We should use names conected with winter or xmas istead which are cleary indicate level of difficulty to the players.
For example Xinely can use Xinely's snow-fall or even snow mealstorm (but its better to use it instead overdose/deluge)
Kurokami you can named your diff Holy-Night
Salad can be renamed for Xmas Pudding *runs* (dont laught from that its good salad reaplacment!)

For my diff I still have no idea... :(

As long as this rule is set in stone even a QAT cannot just disregard it. Snow-fall, Holy-night and Xmas-Pudding (dat name though) wouldn't be rankable either. A normal player cannot say most certainly which name is meant for which difficulty.

I think White/Green/Red/Gold does indicate the level of the difficulty though. And with the new star rating for CtB it will be much more easier to know what is the level of that difficulty. As I said, I won't touch them for now. We have a month to decide whether they can stay or not, or what can be used instead of these. And also, I don't want to use Cup/Salad/Platter/Rain here if possible, they sounds plain for Christmas. q.q

Great, just gonna suggest to not use triplets on these parts 01:16:645 - 02:36:281 - while it does fit, it doesn't sounds really good to me considering that almost the entire song is mapped with 1/2. Good use of hitsounds.

Seems a bit hard to be a salad, maybe it's just my impression that most salads are harder than they should.
00:23:463 - The tom hitsounds you use here sounds really bad in my opinion, strongly suggest to change it.
00:38:463 - This can be catched without movement but may be still a problem for beginners, maybe you can put them a bit closer?
02:01:099 - I don't think this is a good pattern for a salad, strongly suggest to change it.
02:54:008 - A finish sounds good here.
Good job overall, the main problem for me besides the difficulty are the hitsounds, I suggest you to use them as the cup difficulty.

Great job, it really feels like a platter, I only suggest to use the tom sounds just like the cup difficulty.

It is good, but too jumpy for me, it's like the song doesn't fit, I'll refuse to mod this. Just follow the hitsound advice I gave.

Yes, I know there is no background on Red and Gold but its an issue with the editor. As soon as it get fixed I will repair them.

Updated diff. I havent changed every triplet on 01:16:645 - 02:36:281 because they fit or I have no idea to improve it.

Yep, and thats why I think the current ones are working just fine. Together with the new star rating the names are obvious. But as I said I will speak about this matter with Deif first.

Po prostu nazwy,które wymyśliłem (są przykładowe) sa prawie identyczne jak standardowe tylko świąteczne. Z wyjątkiem "Holy Night" bo tak nie można zamienić słowa "platter". Nie widzę różnicy, macie jakiś wielki problem. :___:

To be more correct about metadata, please, make these changes:
  1. Change Artist to 釘宮理恵 & 喜多村英梨 as Japanese names do not use spaces frequently nor the CD lists them with spaces, so there is no reason to alter the name.
  2. The source is supposed to be とらドラ！ over Toradora!, since the current source is romanised, while とらドラ！ form is original.
  3. Change romanised artist to Kugimiya Rie & Kitamura Eri, these artists use 'surname firstname' form. Firstly it is more correct because they are east asians, secondly because they list the 'surname firstname' form on the CD label in japanese, but they do not use different form here, it should be romanised how it reads.

  1. Across the board your song setup settings are weird. This is however nothing unrankable, I just do not see any sense in giving AR and OD these special (...),7-decimals.
  2. There are a lot of Kiai differences, and sometimes they're snapped differently. For example in Gen's Green Kiai#1 ends on ends on 01:31:099 and in Red it ends on 01:31:098. My suggestion is to keep all Kiai's consistent between each difficulty. If you don't want to do that, fix the wrong snapped lines at least. For reference use this please:

  3. All difficulties apart of Gen's Salad have custom hitsounds, I already pointed that out in his mod, especially because hitsounding isn't very good there. Please clarify with him if you can change his hitsounds to custom ones. The standard hitsounds don't fit the music at all.
  4. Get some confirmation from both QATs we have about these difficulty names. I want to read that Deif and ursa are okay with it before I start to move it into any further step.
[Bodom's White]
  1. 00:01:099 (1,2,1,2) - This can be far more interesting. The beat at 00:01:645 - is much louder than the previous ones, so you could increase the distance there a bit. Some sort of suggestion:
    SPOILER
  2. 00:03:554 (4,5) - Increase distance slightly as well, same reason as above. Try x: 160 for 00:03:826 (5) - .
  3. 00:05:735 (2,3) - Definitely a must to increase distance because you used a finish hitsound and you didn't emphasize it at all! Try x: 352 for 00:06:008 (3) -
  4. I could continue like that but it would be too much. Instead I list up for you where you should consider to increase the distances somewhat slighly: 00:07:372 (2,3) - , 00:08:735 (4,5) - , 00:11:190 (3,4) - , 00:16:099 (3,1) - , 00:17:735 (4,5) -
  5. 00:38:735 (1,2) - I cannot find any extraordinary beat, so to me the jump feels a bit too surprising. Use constant distances between all these notes instead: 00:38:735 (1,2,3,4,5) -
  6. 00:49:645 (1) - A reverse arrow on the 1/2 tick would fit much better to the vocals, don't you think?
  7. 01:05:190 (1,2,3,1) - This whole pattern lacks of movement, it's very boring to play... Let me make a suggestion to make it more interesting. If you don't like it that's absolutely okay, but at least create some higher distance between 01:05:190 (1,2) - and 01:06:281 (3,1) - due the increasing vocals:

  8. 01:07:645 -, 01:09:826 - and 01:10:917 - Mhh... Actually these are very important beats that should be emphasized with some reverse arrows. These spots feel empty right now.
  9. 01:14:735 (2,3,4) - The timeline can be improved. A new stanza starts at 01:15:826 - but we're still inside of a slider. Instead use the following timeline to emphasize the new stanza better and create a logic NC sequence:

    Also there should be a higher distance - than the other notes have - at 01:15:554 (5,1) - afterwards.
  10. 01:18:554 - Reverse arrow would be okay.
  11. 01:22:917 (4) - NC here instead of 01:23:735 (1) - because the new stanza starts at 01:23:735 (1) - .
  12. 01:46:372 (1,2) - Again that's a very surprising jump imo, vocals aren't special enough to do that. So just keep constant distances between these notes again: 01:46:372 (1,2,3,4,5) -
  13. 01:51:554 (4,5) - A bit of higher distance suits the vocals perfectly. Try x: 176 for 01:51:826 (5) - and CTRL + G 01:52:917 (1) - afterwards. That should be doing it.
  14. 02:31:645 - This beat should be emphasized with a note or something, try the following:
  15. 02:36:281 (2) - CTRL + G this to make a simple triplet. This pattern is a bit of complex for a Cup.
  16. Decent Cup, good job.
[Gen's Green]
  1. Generally I find these Clap hitsounds disturbing to the music, quite calm song and relatively "loud" claps.. dunno maybe it is just me. You should go and take a look on the Cup however, the custom hitsounds there are way better.
  2. 00:12:554 (5) - Add a NC, the Ryuuta Plate gets a little too full here.
  3. 00:36:008 (1,2,3,4,5) - Not too sure if that's really a good idea for a Salad, it's a quite difficult rhythm already because the beats on the 1/4 ticks are barely hearable. Instead I would use a more simple slider as here:
  4. 00:51:008 (3,4,5) - Feels slightly overmapped. There is clearly no beat at 00:51:145 - , so better eliminate that note.
  5. 01:12:554 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1) - Eww, what is this? Wipe it out, use a simple rhythm, this is a clear No for a Salad, and probably any other diff because it doesn't even follow the music at all. Use something as this:

    (^I took this image from the Platter but as you see even the Platter has less notes than you used there, so the spread is really bad. You need to use a lower density for that part.)
  6. 01:15:554 (1,2,3) - Feels a bit empty because there is only a single hitsound.
  7. 01:17:190 (4,5) - Use whistles instead of Claps, goes better with the music. (In the Cup it's done like that, too)
  8. 01:26:735 (1) - The vocals clearly end at 01:28:372 - , so let the slider end there already. Then add a triplet with single notes at 01:28:645 - , 01:28:781 - and 01:28:917 - , and the next slider should start at 01:29:190 - and end at 01:30:554 - already.. So yeah, you pretty much need to remap this part because it doesn't follow the vocals properly.
  9. 01:35:463 (3) - A spinner would be better, so it interludes into the break.
  10. 02:00:554 (3,1,2,3,4) - Hitsounding is awful, the drum and clap hitsounds are disturbing. Just delete all of them apart of the whistle at the slider end of 02:00:554 (3) - . Believe me, it's really better to keep this simple.
  11. 02:16:917 (5) - NC, too full Ryuuta Plate
  12. 02:20:326 (1) - Delete clap, 02:20:599 (3) - Delete clap, 02:20:735 (4) - Whistle instead of Clap
  13. 02:26:735 (4) - NC
  14. 02:32:190 (2,3,4,5) - Do not use single notes because the vocals are lenghtened, sliders fit much better. For example:
  15. 02:52:645 (2,3,4) - You only need to stand, at least create some movement.
  16. I still see huge improvement in this Salad. I only pointed out some stuff about the hitsounds, you should use the custom hitsounds as anyone else does to keep some consistency. Waiting for Vhy's mod to see what he can point out on this difficulty.

  1. 00:14:872 (2) - That beat is barely audible. I really wouldn't map it tbh.
  2. 00:21:008 (3,4,1) - Feels a bit tricky imo. Try somethign easier for the beginning of the song. As for example:

  4. 01:13:508 (9,1) - Hue 1/4 Hyper, you know how QATs react on them. Yes I am aware about the low BPM but you know they are mostly the reason for disqualifications. Just wanna make you consider. It still plays good if you just skip the beat at 01:13:508 - and create a normal 1/2 Hdash from 01:13:372 - to 01:13:645 - .
  5. 01:30:554 (5,1) - This should be a hyper because of the Finish HS.
  6. 01:35:190 - Add a note here and create some Hyper to the note at 01:35:463 - . Definitely worth it, fits the music perfectly imo.
  7. You might won't like this, so just see it as my personal preference. Delete the note at 02:10:235 - and create a hyper from 02:10:099 - to 02:10:372 - . A new rhythm starts, so c'mon...
  8. 02:21:145 (4,1) - Same as above, and yeah I know you probably will keep it lol.
  9. 02:52:645 (2,3,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1) - The whole pattern is lame... Dunno, nothing jumpy or unexpecting... Way too easy for an ending imo. Instead I make a suggestion. I remapped pretty much every single note, so I separated it into two steps for you:

  2. 00:08:735 (2) - Move this a bit to the right, the jump feels a bit too rough imo.
  3. 00:26:463 (4,5,6) - Ugh... Feels extremely awkward after some Hyper, maybe try some triangle shape that follows a better flow. More or less x: 100 for 00:26:531 (5) - .
  4. 00:27:281 (8) - CTRL + G for a better flow again.
  5. 00:27:281 (8,1) - Consider adding a hyper, follows the cymbal better.
  6. 00:46:099 (3,4) - Hyper maybe? It would go in line with the previous hyper at 00:45:008 (7,1) - .
  7. 00:58:099 (6,1) - HDash again, to be consistent with the bell sounds as you were at 00:54:963 (3,4) - for example.
  8. 01:12:826 (7,8) - Decrease the distance a bit. This jump is very harsh and barely catchable, I guarantee it will lead to frustration.

It also follows the music better because the beats get louder from one stanza to the next.

  2. 01:13:508 (9,1) - Hue 1/4 Hyper, you know how QATs react on them. Yes I am aware about the low BPM but you know they are mostly the reason for disqualifications. Just wanna make you consider. It still plays good if you just skip the beat at 01:13:508 - and create a normal 1/2 Hdash from 01:13:372 - to 01:13:645 - . Plays, thats true but sounds bad. I want that stream and nope, even if QAT say it I won't remove this jump. I even made the flow as easy as possible after this jump to avoid miss.
  3. 01:30:554 (5,1) - This should be a hyper because of the Finish HS. Yeah, it would be nice, but adding 4.4x distance is really hard. q.q
  4. You might won't like this, so just see it as my personal preference. Delete the note at 02:10:235 - and create a hyper from 02:10:099 - to 02:10:372 - . A new rhythm starts, so c'mon... I used 1/4 hyper here as well. It still fits though I dunno, maybe its too hard. o.o
  5. 02:21:145 (4,1) - Same as above, and yeah I know you probably will keep it lol. Exactly. :P

  4. 00:51:008 (3,4,5) - Feels slightly overmapped. There is clearly no beat at 00:51:145 - , so better eliminate that note.
  5. 01:12:554 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1) - Eww, what is this? Wipe it out, use a simple rhythm, this is a clear No for a Salad, and probably any other diff because it doesn't even follow the music at all. Use something as this:

    (^I took this image from the Platter but as you see even the Platter has less notes than you used there, so the spread is really bad. You need to use a lower density for that part.)
  6. 01:15:554 (1,2,3) - Feels a bit empty because there is only a single hitsound.
  7. 01:17:190 (4,5) - Use whistles instead of Claps, goes better with the music. (In the Cup it's done like that, too)
  8. 01:26:735 (1) - The vocals clearly end at 01:28:372 - , so let the slider end there already. Then add a triplet with single notes at 01:28:645 - , 01:28:781 - and 01:28:917 - , and the next slider should start at 01:29:190 - and end at 01:30:554 - already.. So yeah, you pretty much need to remap this part because it doesn't follow the vocals properly.
  9. 01:35:463 (3) - A spinner would be better, so it interludes into the break.
  10. 02:00:554 (3,1,2,3,4) - Hitsounding is awful, the drum and clap hitsounds are disturbing. Just delete all of them apart of the whistle at the slider end of 02:00:554 (3) - . Believe me, it's really better to keep this simple.
  11. 02:16:917 (5) - NC, too full Ryuuta Plate
  12. 02:20:326 (1) - Delete clap, 02:20:599 (3) - Delete clap, 02:20:735 (4) - Whistle instead of Clap

  14. 02:32:190 (2,3,4,5) - Do not use single notes because the vocals are lenghtened, sliders fit much better. For example:
  15. 02:52:645 (2,3,4) - You only need to stand, at least create some movement.
  16. I still see huge improvement in this Salad. I only pointed out some stuff about the hitsounds, you should use the custom hitsounds as anyone else does to keep some consistency. Waiting for Vhy's mod to see what he can point out on this difficulty.


Platter and Rain look ready for me. Still seeing improvement in the Salad and would like to see 2 more serious mods. Call me back then. I hope we still can rank it before Christmas.

00:38:735 (1,2,3,4) - have a proper distance here between (1) and (2) to each other since there's nothing in the music to enhance it
00:45:008 (6) - 1 grid to left to balance the movement since the note prev and after is a reverse slider
