I don't (only) mean games that have been best as a game (in point of view as critic/reviewer). Instead of that I mean games what have been best games for you. Games you feel nostalgic about. Games where you had your best time with friends or alone. Game which you still think of time to time. And games which you have replayed several times even though they might be so old already.
I'm not saying those are requirements all your games (or even one) have to have. But I'm just saying that I'm not asking you to look at metascores of these games and take only best ones of those. No-one here (or at least me) care about those. Take games which is best games for you.
Oh and these games are not in any particular order. Just take 10 best games for you and give us little explanation why these games are best for you!
Okey I start with my own favorites:
Sorry making wall of text but I just wrote what came to my mind. This doesn't mean that your list have to be same looking and such text based than mine. Just take nostalgic trip to your games (if you want to) and make your own list with your own style!

My top 10 favorite games games
1. Worms
First game I ever played more than hours of few minutes. It took lot of time me to even figure out that there was Worms who fighter each other in this game. I was so little when I played this. I just wanted to play this game because my big brother played it. I also played Worms 2 and Worms Armageddon which was my favorite one and which I played really much. I don't like these new Worms games. In my opinion old ones are better. I think it's because of nostalgic.
2. Wolfenstein 3D
I saw my brother playing this when I was little. He also liked to play Doom. But Doom was too scary to me because I was like 6 years old. So I played Wolfenstein even though I didn't have single clue what was plot of that game or anything. I just liked it for some reason.
3. Doom
Again a game which I played because my big brother did. I don't remember when I had courage to play this game but I guess I was 7 or something. I can't remember why I liked this game but I still play it time to time. Not Doom 3 or something but Doom 1 and Doom 2. I just like to play it maybe travel to "old good days".
4. Quake
We had this game in our CD-shelf. I tried different games from there time to time and then I found this and liked it. And I didn't even knew that it was from same developers than Wolfenstein 3D and Doom games but that isn't suprise because I was so brat that I couldn't care less of things like those. When Quake 2 came I also played it really much. Lot of older I also played Quake Arena but only little against bots never in online. Same happened with Quake Live.
5. Warcraft
I saw my big brother playing Warcraft 1 and fell love to it. I didn't know it was RTS-game but liked how different it was from FPS games. Oh and what could be cooler from 7-8 year old eyes than the idea that Humans fight against Orcs? Nothing! This is also game where I had like 7 hour gaming streak. I still remember headache what I got from it. When Warcraft 2 came I played it a lot with one friend of mine. I got Warcraft 3 with same day than it came out. And still play it time to time.
6. Age of Empires
I used to try different games from free demo CDs there was Age of Empires 1. Because it was really similar to Warcraft games I liked it. I also liked the idea that this time humans fight each other. Graphics was really cool at that time (and isn't so bad at this day either in my opinion in this game). With friend of mine we liked to make own campaigns to this game and then play those. I also played Age of empires 2 and 3 when those came out. I've played several times AoE3 campaign because in my opinion is pretty good. AoE3 is one of those games which my computer couldn't handle really well when it came out but I still played it.
7. Empire Earth
I can't remember how I found out of this game but maybe from some kind of demo. I liked this game because it was really same than AoE games. I played it many many years but not because of good campaign but because of good multiplayer matches with many finnish internet friends. I didn't know anyone of them from real-life. I spent so much time with them that I even came to visit with one of them in real-life and it was something new to me. I had great time in this game because of cool clanwars and such what I didn't do before. I never tried out EE2 or EE3.
8. Soldat
I found out this game from some kind of forums where people talk about different indie games and then I googled this game myself and liked it. If you have never heard of this little indie game check you it here. It's little 2D game where you just kill each other. I played it many years and reason why I played it so long is because of amazing competitive community what it had. It still was really far from being any kind of good game because of really bad internet code (because of that it had absurd amount of lag) and amount of bugs it had.
9. Heroes of Newerth and Dota 2
Friend of mine told me of HoN when it was really early beta. And when my friend did go to Dota 2 and left me alone to HoN I did change to that game also. I raged so much when I played these two games but still had great time with friends I played it with. Since I nowadays have random playing times and hate playing Dota 2 alone or with "randoms" I rather don't play it at all.
10. World of Warcraft
Feelings what I have towards this game is not so positive but couldn't think of any better so I listed this one. Good friend of mine lured me to this game and since I haven't played any other MMORPGs before this one it felt refreshive. I was never good at this in any perpective. I didn't raid a lot, I didn't do much of arena and when I did I was awful at it. Things what I did in this game was mostly rerolling/class-hopping and things like that. My best moments of this game was adventuring. Because of that I guess I play GW2 when I have MMORPG kind of feeling inside of me.
