Played Lucian top the other day and managed to fight their Eve jungle + Kassa top at level 4 and got a double kill
That was my 2nd game on Lucian and I was originally planning to play him bot but some premades were trolling hard so I had to switch lanes
We still lost that game because of our 1/12 Tristana jumping into 5 people all the time

I carried myself from Silver 4 to Silver 1 with mainly Janna/Karma and ended up on a 20 game win-streak. I thought I could reach Gold in time since it all went so good. Any tips? If the blaming in my team starts, I mute them all but they all start writing and don't focus on the game anymore. I'm a Support/Mid main and my most played Champions are Leona (but I dropped her), Janna, Morgana and for mid Ahri and Cassio (if Ahri is banned). I'm not mad or on tilt or anything, I just want to win again! Help and tips are appreciated, thank you guys!
play to improve and not to gain elo. elo comes from improvement and not the other way around. that way you stress yourself out way less and you can become better than you would be by just caring about your rank (which is still just a number)Katze wrote:

Streaks happen. A few days ago I dropped from being in my promos to plat 2 to being demoted to plat 5 with 75 lp because I lost 9 games in a row and then a few more, now I am on a winning streak again (won like 12 of my 14 last ranked games). Keep playing, keep getting better and the elo will come by itself.

regarding lucian, i'm using the new meta combined with my old lucian build, it's pretty weird but it getts me pentakills; it's IE into Stattik, beserks, into last whisper into tri THEN youmuus (???) then either BT or GA or BV etc. pretty bad but hey just shows you can build lucian however lmao

I just like Statikk's passive way too much and I feel like you can't miss out on it during mid game
even if Lucian is supposed to be more of a caster ADC I think it's the best way to go idk depends on your playstyle I guess

It only took them 6 months to fix this bug. Might start playing again.

I've been on a losing streak in ranked, I'm playing vs plats/high-golds in normals and winning pretty easily, but as soon as I play ranked in silver I feel hopeless cause 9/10 times I will win lane and try to push my advantage to other lanes but everyone is so far behind I can't do much

League is a cycle of losing streaks and winning streaks
It's so hard to make your team understand that you usually need to farm for the first 7 minutes of the game in order to pull off successful ganks ;_;

Finding a jungler/supp is hell in TB for some reason. Weren't quite as rare before the new map release.
Apart from that, the new SR looks really awesome. The only thing that's been bothering me a bit is the minions' health bar which is less visible (less contrast) with the ground color (red on green on the old map, red on "ground" color on new map).
Lanes and jungle paths look larger too which feels good.

When I played on NA the only rare roles were support and ADC. Since moving to EUW I've found that nobody wants to play anything except mid. Why are Europe scared of jungling or toplane? Is it Bjergsen?
It's probably because Jungle and Top lane are beyond boring to play? Top is an island and has been boring almost all season while jungling just kept getting nerfed until the result we have now.
Mid lane has almost always been one of the most played roles mostly because there are more interesting matchups and more things to do in that position as opposed to the majority of the other roles.
Top and jungle are primarily my main roles. I find them extremely boring to play now to the point I quit summoners rift all together and only play ARAM's.

Yeah, Gangplank's my main and always will be, despite the crap I get for using my favourite champion.
I've only been playing since mid-season 3. Pantheon and Fiora I despise fighting with any of my champions but yeah, they crap over Gangplank the most. I generally don't know how to fight either. xD
Hoping to get enough practice with Jayce and Riven for next season so I can use them for ranked though. Both I find are really fun. That way I can roll with Gangplank, Jayce, Riven, Garen, Wukong and Malphite for top. Good mix of champions.
I'm reasonably bad at responding to situations in a quick manner so slower might be better for me. It's not for everyone, I know one of my friends who mains bottom lane > mid lane doesn't like top for the same reason.Vulf wrote:

Season 5 is HARD MOOOODE jungle time
Apparently best jungle route for most champs is now (for blue/purple side) krugs/gromp --> red/blue --> wolves/raptors --> fountain --> blue/red? Well, I don't play jungle anyway so I don't really care too much.
Junglers like Warwick and Nunu (with some fiddle here and there) are already perma ban status in high diamond. Won't be long before that trickles down to lower elo's.
I warned a couple of Rioters that I have on my friends list this would happen to Warwick if you take your sweet time reworking him but NOPE they would rather be re-doing shitty reworks that shouldn't have happened in the first place *cough* Cass and Leblanc*. So now Warwick is most likely going to get nerfed repeatedly. I guess the 3000 games with that champion mean absolutely nothing.
One shotting squishies with 1 item is retarded on anyone.
The jungle route I have been going is Gromp > Blue > Wolves > Red > Razorbeaks (smite it for the mini oracles) and gank mid or bot (blue side) (top red side) then do grugs and base. This is assuming you are a sustain jungler.
If I'm going a counter jungling route since a lot of junglers get dangerously low on their first clear I usually just do gromp > Blue and invade for a free kill.

I'm still extremely salty about the Leblanc rework that happened 2 summers ago. She was perfectly fine and viable pre rework. Letting an intern rework champions is one of the more stupid things I've seen Riot do.Hika wrote:

Her skills were the same, they just shifted her power from being an early game beast that NEEDS to snowball hard in the first 10 minutes of the game into what she is now
She didn't need to snowball super hard she just needed to win lane which wasn't hard against most matchups. Her late game was extremely underrated because people were bad.
They didn't rework her abilities but they changed how they worked for the most part damage and utility wise. They homogenized her to be similar to other mobile assassins.
Q - Base damage lowered, mana cost reduced, buffed detonation damage, decreased silence time from 2 seconds to 1.5, lowered base AP ratio.
W - Changed how the CD worked. CD started counting down from when it is used instead of after the distortion timers faded. lowered mana cost. Buffed damage. This is what made her ridiculously viable in competitive play because of how OP mobility is. Also she could wave clear better.
E - Lowered base damage, lowered CC duration = no more 5 second root if you mimic'd your E properly.
R - Removed % damage amplification which was actually a nerf to her late game damage. Made mimic W actually useful damage wise.
These changes were more of a nerf than a buff by a lot. All they really did was made her more mobile lowered her mana cost and gave her some AoE damage which she lacked with the old kit.
With that aside YEP Warwick broken. Literally the same build every game with forced surrenders at 20 minutes. Normals because he is perma banned in ranked. I'm just going to quit league when they nerf him because they will straight up Olaf him.

Warwick gets 5 procs while channeling his ulti so he deals 1) ulti damage 2) skirmisher's true dmg 3) Devourer's magic damage

QSS doesn't remove the damage due to a bug that has existed with Warwick ulti since the beginning of season 4. All 5 ticks of damage still apply.

Thank god they are nerfing Skirmisher's blade and the Devourer enchantment instead of Warwick (for now). They should just remove the item from the game completely or not make it scale infinitely. It's essentially a better version of feral flare that you can start abusing on your first back to base.
Infinite scaling mechanics are stupid and will never be balanced in this game. The only questionably balanced one is Veigar Q and thats mostly due to how the rest of that champion works.

I feel useful faster with this new jung, as strange as that sounds. I think new jungle made it more obvious to everyone to start taking objectives, as before no one really liked taking dragon, or would kill themselves for baron. Now, it's kind of you do what you need.

The new jungle is fun and all but it's like this every season until it gets watered down into a secondary support since season 2.

Kalista is quite fun when you play her as a support.

Old champs have broken (ead : far too rigid) mechanics but WW's case has always been a problem.
This is what happens when you leave binary champions like Warwick how he is. Warwick is only good when his items are good otherwise his is a ball of stats.
Riot has been saying he has been problematic for 3+ years but they absolutely refuse to do anything about it but nerf him when things get too far out of hand. Nerfing him into unviablility doesn't fix the problem it's a band-aid and a big fat FUCK YOU to the people who actually like that champion.
He is a champion from the alpha stages of the game who has been completely neglected by Riot for so long. It's quite disgusting how far the go out of the way to not acknowledge this champion exist until it's too late.
With that aside he won't get a rework anytime soon. They ended up scrapping the kit they spoiled for him about a month ago.
I'll probably end up quitting this game for good depending on how they nerf him. They already tried to gut him on PBE with the W nerf that made it impossible for him to jungle which ended up getting hot fixed like 5 hours later.

Also that nerf on PBE isn't going to stop him from 1 shotting adc's with his ulti since you could already do it in season 3/4 with just a wits end and bork. Even with the nerfed ulti devourer/smite true damage the extra damage it gives still makes up for it.
This just shows Riot doesn't know what they are doing which is going to result in them overnerfing eventually which is something they have always done. Lowering numbers and saying "balanced" is not something that is new with the balance team.

@Vulf: so what would you suggest doing in the Warwick case?
The obvious answer would be to not make it apply on-hit-effects anymore. Or at least not 5 times. Even though that won't be a long-term solution either.

TL;DR
Riot is a lazy unorganized company that I feel doesn't know what they are doing anymore.

I'm less upset about the possible nerfs and more upset by the fact this could have been avoided if they reworked him. Riot has been talking about reworking Warwick for over 2.5 years now. It doesn't take that long to redesign a champion especially a boring one like Warwick. I can literally prototype 3-4 kits for him in about an hour, calc numbers for the kits in about 2-3 hours.
He already has a set theme and since lore has been liquified it's not that he would need that much effort in that area. This also applies for his VU as well but that is a completely different department.
The large time consuming thing would be the play testing part which can and will take a few months depending on how complex the kit is. This is why you have a dedicated designer doing things instead of just handing off projects to multiple people when you are called to do something else.
There are other factors but since I know Riot is an extremely unorganized company (I have friends who work there) when it comes to these type of things which would increase the amount of time things are done.
It would probably take a team about 8 months to a year to redesign a champion. Significantly less if the said champion doesn't need a new model.
AND
Items like Feral Flare and the Devourer enchantment should simply never exist in this game. It's a stupid impossible to balance mechanic because it's either going to be ridiculously strong or not worth the gold. It's been less than 10 months since FF was made and it's like Riot didn't learn from that mistake. I don't think they care anymore.
This whole gut until we get around to it method Riot does is an extremely lazy way to go about things and makes me really upset as a game designer that they are getting away with this kind of crap.
There is a reason I turned down the job Riot offered me because honestly I don't think I would be able to deal with how things work there and how things are organized. Thank god I know people who work there.

You wouldn't even have to go that far. His ult just needs more counterplay and bug fixes. Fix the stupid bug that applies all his damage regardless of him being CC'd or QSS'd out of his ulti. Then you can make his ult a skill shot and increase the range by 100 while giving it a travel time and he wouldn't be that big of an issue until he is reworked. He already has leap animations in the game files from the alpha stages of the game (he is literally that old). This is a temporary fix without hurting the champion significantly all while making the champion a little more interesting to play for people.
