hello m4m
Since you haven't replied to Modem's post above
shit, new page (which is mostly about hitsounds), I'll not cover hitsounds.
[All Diffs]
You should map the ending (03:51:834 to 03:58:868). Add a slowdown on harder difficulties and it would be a beautiful ending to a beautiful song.
[Easy]
00:27:317 - Break ending time looks unintentionally changed here.
01:33:420 - ^
03:29:282- ^
00:08:799 (1,2,3,4) - A bit plain here, you should have some variation in the shapes
00:51:834 (1,2,3) - ^
00:54:730 - Add note
01:03:420 (3,4) - Would love to see a blanket here
01:15:006 (1,2,3,4) - Also a bit plain, try rotating 15 degrees anticlockwise
01:51:006 (4) - Move to the right a bit, and shift the later notes to maintain distance snap
03:34:041 (1) and 03:40:661 (1) - Won't say much, but I'll leave these for reading:

- Try to avoid using hitobjects directly after spinners (especially on Easy/Normal difficulties). Spinners are sometimes the hardest element for players, and having a hitcircle or slider half a beat (or even a beat) after a spinner will commonly result in frustration and a broken combo. Hitobjects directly after spinners are fair game for Hard/Insane difficulties, but try to give a nice pause for Easy/Normal difficulties.
[Normal]
00:48:524 (1,2,3,4) - Just a suggestion here, but you might want to add some notes on the white ticks. The previous notes were all about 1/1 notes, so you should keep to it to maintain the rhythm.
00:54:730 - Add note
01:41:489 (1,2,3,4) - Same as 00:48:524 (1,2,3,4) above. Even some 1/2 notes on red ticks would be fine, where appropriate.
01:47:696 - Add note
02:42:730 - You should map to this point, instead of just pushing the start of the break
02:34:455 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - Very straight flow here. Great if that was what you wanted, but personally I would have preferred a smoother flow.
03:08:386 (2,1) - Make this more like 2 arcs of the same circle, by blanketing 03:08:386 (2) around 03:10:455 (2) too. (it helps to temporarily drag notes around in the timeline)
[Hard]
00:04:144 - Add note here.
00:57:110- ^
01:10:351- ^ you get the concept
00:27:730 - Unintentional break time change?
00:55:144 (1) - A 3-point slider would have been fine, but it's your preference.
01:15:730 - Add note
01:42:317 (2) - This slider could be made prettier. Try making the points more symmetrical. 02:31:144 (1) is better, but still not perfect.
02:42:730 - Same as Normal, extend your mapping to this time
02:55:972 (1) - Break this up into multiple 1/1 hitcircles (drum-hitfinish seems like a good hitsound to use here)
03:04:248 (1,2,1,2) - Increase the gap between the first 3 sliders (compare to 03:05:903 (1,2) )
03:39:420 (1) - You can probably remove the NC here.
[Lunatic]
00:09:524 - Add note here. In other cases the spacing might be too large to add a 1/4 note, but it should be fine here.
00:12:937 (4) - Extend by 1/4 note (end on blue tick)
01:05:903 (4) - ^
01:19:144 (4) - ^
01:58:868 (4) - ^
02:12:110 (4) - ^
03:08:386 (4) - ^
00:14:386 (6) - This note doesn't fit well in the stream; remove it. The remainder 00:14:592 (7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15) is fine though.
01:07:351 (6) - ^
01:20:592 (6) - ^
02:00:420 (6) - ^
02:13:661 (6) - ^
03:09:937 (6) - ^
00:28:041 - Another break time modification.
02:27:213 - ^
02:55:351 - ^
01:16:661 (1,1) - Fix the blanket here
01:47:695 (13) - Change this to a 1/2 slider. Either that, or add a note directly at 01:47:903
02:05:489 (3) - You can improve the shape of the slider by making the points symmetrical.
02:42:730 - Refer to Normal and Hard
03:01:351 (2,3) - Blanket here can be improved. Add an extra point (ctrl+click) on the curved portion of the slider.
[Thoughts]
You should have more variety when mapping. For example, have a different combination of sliders and circles each time, and not just copying the same combo.
Granted, there is a fair number of different slider shapes, but if I keep seeing only these few being thrown around
in the same way, the map gets boring rather quickly since there is no variation. Hard and Insane are still playable since there are more different rhythms, patterns, spacing etc. to keep the map interesting. However Easy and Normal should have some reworking to make them appear less copypasted.
Not bad for a first mapset (mine was complete shit D:). The harder diffs quite promising, but still has the "lack of variation" problem. It will solve itself as you go along and get more experience, so you don't need to worry.
Good luck!
