recently my sister is unusual was a bad anime and it tried too hard to get a good story, and the art was just horrendous

Sword Art Online, Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei, and looking back at it, Oriemo was not to my liking at all. Also Elfen Lied. Only good thing about that anime is it's one of the few with that amount of guts spilling everywhere.
What, so some people don't like long anime. Doesn't mean they're the worst anime you've ever watched, cause most likely, you haven't seen them at all.

Nowadays I'm trying to be careful when choosing what I'll watch, but back then before I decided to do that I've stumbled across some absolute nightmares. The worst anime out of those was probably Kämpfer - god, that anime was an absolute trainwreck.
It's a tie between Angel Beats!, Soul Eater NOT! and Sword Art Online.
I'd have to say Oreimo. Well to put it in a more specific way...

Just seriously, no one should ever have to sit through those OVAs ever again, its just a way too rushed, impractacle and overall one of the most disgusting endings I've ever seen grace the light of day.

I enjoyed Tantei Opera Milky Holmes.. not. These characters are so dumb, they ruined everything. I mean, a bear is trying to attack them, they try to befriend it. An antagonist reveals the identity in front of them? They assume it is cosplay. Everytime I see something of TOMH, I wanna smash my head against the wall.
Maria†Holic Alive is.. Weird. When I've watched the first season, I didn't know how this should be going on. And then I watched Alive.. It's even more weird than the first season. Even more nosebleeds, even more Mariya/Shizu Action.. It was a completely unnecessary second season after all.

SAO and Diabolik Lovers. SAO had a way of oversexualizing all of its female characters, from unrealistically fanservice oppai to moe loli genera. Diabolik Lovers just came off as....no. The vampires just constantly raped Yui, it wasn't romantic at all. They just constantly violated her and none of them were really much developed. It went the way most game-anime adaptations go: short and mediocre. Otome games never get good adaptations

I think it might be just FLCL's bizarre approach to telling it's coming of age story. The comedy is just look at how weird we can be and the metaphors can be pretty downright unhelpful but I appreciate the series for not falling into convention. The only problem I have is this is a post about what is the worst anime you have seen, not what genres or tags you dislike, or what anime you refuse to watch. It pains me that many people won't watch long anime, but it's understandable. However, it certainly cannot be the worst anime you've seen if you haven't exactly watched it. Worst things in recent memory would probably be Rail Wars!, BlazBlue, Akame ga Kill, Kill la Kill and Mahou Sensou with Mahou Sensou being worst of them, I really wouldn't recommend it to anyone regardless of their tastes. It's objectively bad. Funny how 4 out of 5 have something associated with killing in their titles. Maybe it's a trend?
