Stoke edging City at the Etihad, UTD bland as usual apart from Di Maria. Interesting weekend of football so far, I genuinely believed Everton could trouble you but seeing as they messed up in 5 mins against us this doesn't seem unsurprising.
bmin11

lol they actually delivered
bmin11
Spurs, please

Chelseas last signing. It seems a lot like the Demba Ba signing, except with a lot less desperation.
Vish024
Liverpool brilliant against Sp*rs, Balotelli not looking lazy for once.

Meanwhile in Leicester we play out a rather deflating 1-1 draw. Sanogo looks like a mildly talented giraffe, Ozil is still being played out wide and potential injury concerns may have mounted. I hope we pull some magic before the transfer window ends, something like signing a decent striker, or this vibe will most probably continue.
bmin11
Leicester gave Chelsea a hard time. They really pack a punch whenever they get their chance.

Van Hinkel has also joined AC Milan along with Torres. With Essien also being an AC Milan player, I now feel like cheering for them lol

That's the 3rd Goal Keeper of France...
That fail omg.
bmin11
It's okay, he's just the 3rd GK. Watch Spains 1st GK.

The newest Manchester United's formation
Vish024
They seem to be completely ignoring the positions that they need to improve which provide the foundations of the squad and appear to instead be going for the "offense is the best defence" option.

Mind you we're not doing any better, it's deadline day and we need to reinforce three key positions and Arsene is in Rome refereeing a charity match for peace. Jesus tittyfucking Christ.
bmin11
I don't understand. You guys knew which positions were lacking (except the striker) and looked to sign from the very beginning. You guys also have the money now. Are they really out of options?

I haven't really watched Uniteds matches, so I don't know their problem. Though, the gap of their name value between offense and defense is hilarious lol
Cherry Blossom
Apparently Chicharito is now at Real Madrid, good deal since Morata left, super sub is there !!!
Falcao at Manutd, uuuuuuuh
bmin11
Oh ya and go help out your Top 4 rival right, United? Welbeck to Arsenal. That solved the hole Giroud has left with his injury.
Vish024
I think it's absurd to even consider UTD as our top 4 rivals at the moment. They're still relying on Fletcher and Cleverly in the centre and Jones, Smalling and Evans at centre back.

On Welbeck, I'm quite happy to have him over. I wanted us to sign him a few weeks ago but United were unlikely to sell to a Premier League rival, now that both clubs are desperate we finally sign him. Honestly as long as we don't have to play Sanogo up front for 4 months I don't give a shit, Welbeck is a direct upgrade from him and that's all that matters. He's got decent finishing, his shot conversion rate is impressive, his link up with teammates is alright and he can hold the ball and at the very least control it while running unlike Sanogo. With the sort of service our midfield provides he should slot in well.

Meanwhile on twitter:

I wish there was some way of telling Arsene to stop playing players who aren't comfortable on the flanks out wide. JUST FUCKING STOP IT ARSENE FUCK. It's driving everyone in the fanbase mental, I hope someone in the stands throws a placard at him reading "Stop playing Ozil and other central players out wide you moron. Sincerely, every fucking gooner.".

Vish024
Let's hope Welbeck changes that. Seriously after such a positive beginning to the transfer window with four quick and decisive signings, Debuchy, Ospina, Sanchez and Chambers we failed to pull anything in the last month or so to reinforce crucial positions in our squad.

Biggest spenders in this transfer window:

Lol we're getting fucking trashed by argentina it's not even funny.
Trash Boat
I would like to say that we are even now, but it could be too much. So..... ggwp
Vish024
It's a friendly, it's peanuts and noone should take the result seriously. Above all I dislike the world cup final comparisons but we have to have the obligatory stupidity.
Tanzklaue
if i might add that almost half the world cup squad didn't even play, or was rotated in/out.

also the two goals directly after the half time were stupid and should never have happened like that. we were completely asleep.
SpeechClass
Why Real Madrid selled Di maria? lol
Vish024
Because they were getting a lot of $$$$$ in return which they need to turnover the amount they spent on Rodriguez and they have so many players of Di Maria's position that it wouldn't make a difference if he left.

I liked how Miro, Phil and Per were given a guard of honour before the friendly:

Falcao's champions league fobia continues. I swear he makes his best effort to avoid the competition.

I think he got to play a season in the CL once when he was still playing for us, but still far from the Falcao level we know.
Tanzklaue
daily reminder that goetze still sucks at football.
Raiku
I'd just like to make it known that I'm ARSENAL TILL I DIE and we WILL win the pl this season.

We might be off to a shaky start with 2 draws already but I think we have the advantage over man city this weekend, looking forward to the tottenham later this month though. I think we got chelsea after them but then a few easy games to test our squad after that.
Vish024
I like you.

Lost 0-1 against Albania at home, hahaha, please kick P.Bento out of the national team. Incredible how we've had managers like Queiroz, sacked after getting to the last 16 in a world cup (and eliminated by Spain, who ended up winning the whole thing), but Paulo Bento, after a very pale and disappointing world cup with the worst outcome that would be elimination in the group stages still leads the team to nowhere.

I don't think anyone is blind enough to demand a portuguese NT with the strenght we had 10 years ago, but it's ridiculous how we keep showing up like a bunch of amateurs with the occasional individual moment of inspiration, we can do a lot better than that.
Cherry Blossom
I also can say.
We 8 Spurs !!! :D I'm not officially for Arsenal :3 But i still support them ! :D

The only Football club i have to support is FC Sochaux Montbéliard (from Ligue 1, now Ligue 2 uuuh), The first Ligue 1 winner, the only football club with Olympique de Marseille which deserve to go down in history of Ligue 1. And it is also near my town ^^
Paris Saint Germain is living thanks to arab money.
Vish024
Welbeck scores twice against the Swiss and every Arsenal fan has lost themselves in great admiration for the lad. GET IN SON, C'MON DANNY.
bmin11
For some reason, we played better without a manager. Won 3:1 against Venezuela and lost 0:1 against Uruguay.
Vish024
Ramsey twisted his ankle on that shitty Andorran pitch and every Arsenal fan has an obligatory heart attack, apparently it's minor and he should be back by the weekend though.
Tanzklaue
lost 2-0 to bayern. could've been worse, could've been better. i personally was pretty satisfied with the team.
Vish024
2-2 against the champions at home not too bad for us. Numerous tactical errors that I've already gone on too many rants to address and the decision making on the pitch was poor. Good match to watch though and thoroughly deserved result for both sides.
bmin11
Came back from work to see Costa with his hattrick :D Makes me wonder how Spain was unable to get through the group stage with Costa + Fabregas.

All around, best weekend for Chelsea. Man City and Arsenal drew, and Liverpool lost. This is literally the best result.
Vish024
Yeah if this continues you lot will gallop ahead of the pack (obligatory horse reference from last season), honestly I'm not too keen on our away game at Stamford Bridge. Champions League returns though this week, some exciting footballing action to look forward to.

Defensive crisis worsens for us before our clash against BVB at the Westfalen. Monreal and Debuchy out, the latter expected to be out for 3 months, Chambers didn't train and is apparently doubtful. It might just come to a point where we have to play our wingers at full back, we're promoting some young lads from the youth set up it seems.

Honestly a club with our resources should not have these issues to contend with, a defence oriented signing was top priority and the manager alongside those responsible failed to deliver. I think our staff will need a serious overhaul if things nosedive to previous standards this season.
bmin11
Arsenal and BVB meets at CL, and they both show up with an half squad. The story never changes it seems.
Vish024
And it's a story that been going on for too long. Honestly how much bad luck can a club be cursed with in the space of a decade? I'd wager my right bollock that the powers that be have it in for us.

To take our minds off things we had Samuel L. Jackson down at the Emirates on the weekend to watch the City game. Apparently he was Theo's guest.

Yeah take that other clubs, doesn't matter what you got we still have Samuel motherfuckers!
Cherry Blossom
That's why i hate Welbeck.
3 attempts for him, 0 goals.

And i'm glad to see Monaco defeated Leverkusen. I dont want to see France below Russia for UEFA index.
Vish024
Welbeck wasn't the reason the overall performance was poor, he had a few opportunities and surely one should've gone in but let's not ignore the mishaps elsewhere on the pitch. There are so many problems that listing them would require too much time, effort and energy. All I can say is Arsene's stubborn philosophies are beginning to get me down. It's only a matter of time before the fans get outrageously impatient with him, honestly if I hadn't seen his face on the touchline I'd have thought it was Massimo fucking Allegri managing us. Poldi losing his shinguard and having to borrow Ozil's before being sent on the pitch summed up our night.

I was hoping for a draw at best before the game began. BVB completely outclassed us, their fans were at their usual best and their lads probably should've scored 3 or more with all the chances they created. The difference between us and them is the depth their squad has, despite key players like Reus, Hummels, Kuba, Gundogan and Sahin being injured they can still play at almost full capacity and chemistry. This squad has always impressed me and if there's one club that I'd like to see go all the way and lift the title, aside from us obviously, it'd have to be them.

This trend will continue and the reason is the oil tycoon money which has steadily ruined French football. PSG and Monaco have bullied away most of their opposition financially in recent seasons, until only 4 years ago we saw French clubs like OL and Bordeaux going quite far in the Champions League and due to the audacious spending from now richer clubs like PSG who are lapping up the talent from their domestic opposition Ligue 1 as a whole is losing depth. At this point I can only see PSG going a reasonable distance in the competition, I daresay Monaco were lucky to get a win against Leverkusen.
