Love the video for this song. Please finish (so I can finally mod one of your maps ;_;)

So I was doing a little research since I saw in the video it said "Private Sky" as the opening. Then I stumbled upon the PULL TOP website and all that amzing music just started playing <3

Just so people don't have to start searching when they see the title in the video with a space

Currently testing a few things atm...
  1. Replaced old mp3 and video files with new mp3 and video files to improve quality while greatly reducing file size!
  2. Improved timing! (Tested with OD10 many times and it's always 100% accuracy!)
  3. Timing Test Complete!
  4. Added another new video file (1024x576) for better quality while maintaining file size!
  5. Performed a video/map lag test for 1/6 and for 1/8 kick sliders. (1/6 seems to run fine, but 1/8 kick sliders lags my PC a little bit)
  6. Performed a video/map lag test for Double Time mod. (Video lag starts around 00:47:763)
  7. Added another new video file (1024x576), but this time with AnimationSimple.txt to prevent video/map lag.
  8. Performed a video/map lag test for Double Time mod. (No video/map lag ^_^)
  9. Performed a video/map lag test for 1/6 and for 1/8 kick sliders. (Both 1/6 and 1/8 kick sliders runs fine now ^_^)

one suggestion for easy

01:39:985 - why not add a 1/2 repeat slider like so


both 01:39:985 - and 01:40:170 - have strong sounds that should be mapped out especially 01:40:170 - which has something similar to a finish

edit: i just realized something like this coould work well too gotta drag the slider back a bit tho

Finished Easy and Normal difficulty!
I just need to finish the hitsounding! I have only done the whistles. :P
You know what? I think I'm going to use the normal sampleset as claps since it already sounds good! :P
About the finishes, I guess I'll use the soft-finish (preferably at a lower hitsound volume).

EDIT: Also added Mochi's Insane difficulty and added "mochi" and "momochikun" in tags!
More to come. I'm still waiting for Oyatsu's Hard difficulty lol


EDIT: I finally finished mapping Easy and Normal difficulties. All the hitsounds has been added!

some suggestions:
00:18:133 (1,2) - 00:19:244 (3,1) - shouldn't stack/put so close together since the time intervals are different
00:20:911 (4,1) - people will prolly think this is 1/4 apart when they're actually 1/2 apart
00:26:652 (3,1) - i think u shouldn't stack it perfectly the way u have now, not when you didn't do it in 00:29:985 (1,2) - here for example
BUT that also leads to the next problem which is
00:26:652 (3,1) - 00:29:985 (1,2) - 00:34:059 (2,3) -
then u went back to 00:53:318 (3,1) - again

00:40:170 (3) - this kickslider imo is bad// double does it for me better

  1. 00:37:022 (4,2) - Maybe stack then ? Or put 00:37:763 (2) - slightly lower (like x=320/y=176) ?
  2. 00:40:170 (3) - I don't know but I would replace it by 2 cirles. I think it fits better with music and better to play.
  3. 01:08:318 (1,2) - Maybe you should use same spacing than 01:09:615 (6,7) - to keep a certain consistency ? Try to apply it for the rest of the map.
  4. 01:10:541 (1,2,3,4,5) - Pure suggestion, maybe use a star pattern for these (something like this http://puu.sh/aIqHh/c793b6cda5.jpg&#41; ? Find this one kind messy.

I usually don't use soft-whistles for vocals unless it was the only prominent sound to emphasize. :P
It's worth considering though.

  1. 01:11:467 (2) - Imo removing whistle at the reverse would make the hitsound of (3) feel higher in pitch.
  2. 01:15:911 (1,2) - It may destroy your combo pattern, but I highly suggest to start the combo from (2). The placement of these have possibility to be confusing.

    Nicely structured!
Normal:

-- Consider setting stack leniency 5 in order to avoid stack appearing at 00:48:874 (3).
  1. 00:55:541 (5) - 1 Grid up!
Oyatsu's Hard:
  1. 00:52:022 (4) - I think adding NC will be better in reading, and in fact this is where a new combo is needed since there's a new stanza.

    Imo these jumps were way too much considering this diff is a [Hard]. 00:41:467 (7) and 01:18:874 (1).
Mochi's Insane:
  1. 01:07:948 (5,1) - I've personally expected this kind of a zigzag flow here :3 Just my opinion.
  2. 01:26:096 (1) - Check if the missing volume reduction at the end is intended. You reduced volume when the hitsounds were a drum-sampleset like 01:20:170 (1) and 01:22:393 (2).
  3. 01:40:541 (3) - Mind keeping the distance here? It personally feels a little messy..

[General]
  1. Since you have a tag ni, you might want to add ni to the tags as well. Also, adding Private to the tags sounds like a good idea, for those who will look for Private Sky instead of PrivateSky. These things are really minor, but as a person with a terrible memory, I would really need these. @.@
  2. The dimensions of your BG are not the recommended ones. Had to cut and re-size it a bit, but here's a 1024x768 version. Had to cut a bit of the wall on the left, tho.
  3. I highly suggest you to start mapping all diffs from the same point to keep some consistency. Adding a spinner to Mochi's diff should fix the problem, I think.
  4. 00:00:356 (1) - the spinner-bonus sound at this part feels quite annoying, to be honest. How about reducing the volume here, so that this sound will not bug players too much.
  5. The blue combo colour looks weird and does not match with the video/BG well. Also, if you dim the BG, your bright-pinkcolour will look a bit unpleasant because it is waaay too bright. Mind looking for an alternative set of colours, so all players will feel more comfortable with them?
[Easy]
  1. 00:26:281 (3,1) - I believe that this kind of patterns is pretty confusing for the beigenners. From what I have seen, newbies just click on the nearest object they can get, so, they might mistakenly hit (1)'s tail. So, please, consider re-arraging this pattern to somewhat like this or anything else, that would be intutively understandable.
    Note: the same applies for quite a lot of patterns in the diff, but 00:54:800 (2,3,1) - 01:23:318 (3,4,1) - are the most confusing once, since even the flow tells us to ignore the circles at these patterns. This example ismuch more understandable, has softer flow and looks even prettier in my eyes. it is a very minor thing, but re-adjusting these patterns may prevent a lot of confusion.
  2. 01:33:689 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4) - minor - having so many straight sliders at this part does not match with the previous patterns and feels slightly unfitting with the rest of the diff. Looks like you're quite good at making symmetrical patterns, why not make those straight sliders curvy and symmetrical as well?

    I have some doubts about the patterns like 00:52:207 (3,4,1) - as I've already mentioned. Beginners are not familiar with such thing as flow, so they will surely get confused with your patterns. Apart from this, everything else seems to be quite good from my point of view!
[Normal]
  1. Just a matter of preference, but I would try to use CS 3,5 here. Somehow, it makes the diff spread a bit more interesting and provides some variety.
  2. 00:22:207 (3,4) - the music goes weak at these two beats, I highly suggest you to use just one 1/1 slider instead them, sliders are much easier to hit and it will make more sense with the music.
    Note: as an alternative, you probably might want to try this pattern. It will match with the vocals, but it may hurt the original idea a lot.
  3. 00:28:133 (3) - somewhat similar with the suggestion above, the head of the slider does not feel reasonabe to me. Give a try to something like this. The tail of (2) represents the quite hit and (3)'s head matches nicely with the soft sound.
  4. 00:31:837 (4) - the circle for this quite beat is a bit too much, in my opinion. Why don't you re-arrange the pattern a bit and add a repeat to (3)?
    Note: it may take the time to re-arrange your patterns, but it will really look better. Se if it convinces you.
  5. 00:35:911 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - for a calm [Normal] diff hitting 8 circes in a row might become a bit too stressful. Mind adding a couple of sliders there to make it a bit more playable?
    Note: 01:35:170 (4,5) - same here? Replacingthese two with an arc-slider would match pretty cool, huh? :)
  6. 00:39:985 (3) - minor - just a little part of the slider gets offscreen. 1024x768 display, defaul skin. It might be a really minor thing, but it shouldn't take too much time to fix that.

    I don't have a lot of things to say. Personally, I would avoid patterns like 01:23:504 (4,1) - since thy may become tricky with easy mod enabled and feel quite confusing with hidden, but, it is not a big problem, to be honest.
[Oyatsu's Hard]
  1. Try AR 7,5, feels softer and more fitting + makes the diff spread less "choppy", which is also a good thing.
  2. 00:00:356 - set the volume to 20% or replace the patterns with a spinner. All hitobjects must have an audible hitsounds, so, we can have some audio-feedback after hitting the hitobjects!
    Note: just a note for the time when you will hitsound it.
  3. 00:05:170 (5,6) - the second reverse at (6) is really almost impossible to notice. The slider is short and the second reverse-arrow appears too late to be readable for this diff. Moreover, players don't even expect it since the previous slider had just one repeat. To make it playable, please, remove a one repeat from (6) and replace it with a circle, please.
  4. 00:13:504 (4,5) - in order to represent the bell-sound in music, you might want to add a little jump here.
    Note: 01:32:578 (2,3) - the same? :)
  5. 00:15:170 (1,2) - minor - yu can make your flow smoother by changing shape of this or the previous slider a bit. Just give this pattern a try and see for yourself!
  6. 00:30:726 (2) - I highly suggest you to put a circle here. So, your rhythm will get more consistent and you will reflect the piano sound here, which is also a nice thing.
  7. 00:59:244 (5,6,1) - the jump feels rather exaggerated either remove it or make sure that you'll stress it with the hitsounds to make it more understandable for players.
  8. 01:03:689 (4) - minor - the placement of (4) looks rather random, and makes (2)look untidy + it does not flow very well. Alternative pattern.
  9. 01:18:504 (6,1) - the x2.8 jump right after the 1/4 slider feels way too hard. Mind reducing the DS, so, that the players won't feel too stressed at this part? I'd go with ~x2,0 jump here.

    Just work a bit more on your flow/structure and it will become a really cool diff.
[Mochi's Insane]
  1. 00:18:874 - I'd rather move 00:18:504 (2) - here to reflect the vocals. If you do this, 00:18:133 (1) - will becme more emphasized, which is also a good thing. :3/
  2. 00:25:355 (4,1) - minor - just sayin that you can make a blanket here, it would look (and flow) slightly better, so I recommend you to consider that.
  3. 00:28:380 (3) - due to polarity and snap divisor change, using a new combo here makes sense. Try that, it will help some players to understand the rhythm better.
  4. 00:51:281 (2) - minor - the slider gets overlapped with the HP Bar. I am using defaul skin + 1024x768 window to play osu, which is quite common among osu! players.
  5. 01:07:022 (3) - to separate this slider from the 1/4 jumps and to represent the change in music, add a new combo here. It may break the pattern a bit, but it actually makes sense with the song, from my point of view.
  6. 01:17:207 (1) - please, finish the slider on the downbeat. it will match with the music. Overmapping here feels weird and really hurts the rhythm of the song, which is not a good thing.
    Note: 01:20:170 (1) -01:26:096 (1) - 01:29:059 (7) - whoops, the same.// 01:22:393 (2) - 01:23:689 (3) - and here, but this time is not THAT important, so it should be okay to keep this one.
    Note2: STR2 might resolve the problem, but I would insist on removing the 3/4 sliders since they are overmapped and sound really off the music.

    Nicely done. Not so much to say, I loved everything about the diff but those 3/4 sliders.
The mapset can be improved, and hitsounds still should be added to the Hard, but I see that it'll be a really nice mapset!

  2. 01:33:689 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4) - minor - having so many straight sliders at this part does not match with the previous patterns and feels slightly unfitting with the rest of the diff. Looks like you're quite good at making symmetrical patterns, why not make those straight sliders curvy and symmetrical as well? This was intended. I wanted these sliders straight. Also, too much symmetry can get repetitive.

    I have some doubts about the patterns like 00:52:207 (3,4,1) - as I've already mentioned. Beginners are not familiar with such thing as flow, so they will surely get confused with your patterns. Apart from this, everything else seems to be quite good from my point of view!

  1. Just a matter of preference, but I would try to use CS 3,5 here. Somehow, it makes the diff spread a bit more interesting and provides some variety. This change might actually solve the off-grid issue. Kudos to decimal values. Fixed!
  2. 00:22:207 (3,4) - the music goes weak at these two beats, I highly suggest you to use just one 1/1 slider instead them, sliders are much easier to hit and it will make more sense with the music. Nah. If the music is weak, I would rather reduce the hitsound volume lol. I might consider this one in the future.
    Note: as an alternative, you probably might want to try this pattern. It will match with the vocals, but it may hurt the original idea a lot. I already did something similar on Easy. Normal is supposed to be a harder than Easy XD
  3. 00:28:133 (3) - somewhat similar with the suggestion above, the head of the slider does not feel reasonable to me. Give a try to something like this. The tail of (2) represents the quite hit and (3)'s head matches nicely with the soft sound. This change would really mess up the symmetry. I couldn't think of any alternative patterns here.
  4. 00:31:837 (4) - the circle for this quite beat is a bit too much, in my opinion. Why don't you re-arrange the pattern a bit and add a repeat to (3)?
    Note: it may take the time to re-arrange your patterns, but it will really look better. Se if it convinces you. I might consider this in the future!
  5. 00:35:911 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - for a calm [Normal] diff hitting 8 circles in a row might become a bit too stressful. Mind adding a couple of sliders there to make it a bit more playable? So umm....using eight 1/1 circles on Normal difficulty is not okay and using eight 1/2 circles on Hard difficulty is? I think I will keep it the way it is and add a new combo at 00:37:393 (1).
    Note: 01:35:170 (4,5) - same here? Replacing these two with an arc-slider would match pretty cool, huh? :) Both ways are cool.
  6. 00:39:985 (3) - minor - just a little part of the slider gets offscreen. 1024x768 display, default skin. It might be a really minor thing, but it shouldn't take too much time to fix that. Fixed!

    I don't have a lot of things to say. Personally, I would avoid patterns like 01:23:504 (4,1) - since thy may become tricky with easy mod enabled and feel quite confusing with hidden, but, it is not a big problem, to be honest.

  1. 00:32:948 (3,3) - NC both of these? It will be the same length as your other combos time-wise.
  2. 00:39:985 (4) - I don't think this whistle hits on any chime or anything. Maybe consider removing it since you mainly seem to be whistling to the chime effects.
  3. 00:50:726 (1,3) - These actually aren't symmetrical with each other. Try copy/pasting (1) again for (3). (it really isn't that noticeable, but I know you like your symmetry so I thought I'd point this out)
  4. 01:15:911 (5,1) - These should be reversed with an NC on (5) instead of (1).
  5. 01:23:318 (3) - It kind of feels like there should be a whistle on the head because of the bell effect. (You don't map to this in Normal so I can't really compare it)
  6. 01:40:726 (1) - Lower the volume for the end of this spinner since it ends on a fadeout instead of an actual note in the song.

  1. 00:28:874 (4) - Try removing the whistle on the head. since it doesn't follow the piano or chimes (and honestly seems a bit overused here)

AR7 or 7.5 should be more than enough for this diff no? Your Hard is rated pretty high because of some big jumps you have. Maybe try to tone it down just a little because the gap between Normal and Hard is a little big.
Another thing. Your NCs are very very inconsistent throughout the diff. You have lots of 4 measure ones, some 3 measure, 2 measure. It honestly just jumps around all over the place. Consider revising it all.
  1. 00:02:393 (6) - I really don't like how you skipped the huge sound playing at 00:02:578 - and instead mapped to the guitar which is kind of hard to hear. Just some thoughts I had when I test played this. Don't have to change if you don't want to.
  2. 00:15:726 (2,3) - Try going Circle and then Slider on this so the lyrics get that held feeling from 00:15:911 - onwards. Another reason is that 00:16:096 - is so quiet that it really doesn't deserve its own circle.
  3. 00:17:763 (7) - I'm really not a fan of this 3/4 slider at all. The main vocals start up at 00:17:948 - and always causes me to let go early because it just doesn't fit. I highly highly suggest shortening this 1/4 to end at 00:17:948 -
  4. 00:27:022 (1) - Consider making (1) a copy paste rotate of 00:27:763 (2) - and then blanketing it? | http://puu.sh/aW2cB.jpg
  5. 00:47:578 (4) - Stack on where the head of 00:45:911 (3) - is? This doesn't really feel like it should be too big of a jump from (3) -> (4).

[Insane]
  1. 00:11:467 (3) - SC:4 Clap on head? The bell chimes here, so it would make sense to map to it.
  2. 00:19:615 (1) - It feels a bit strange you mapped to this but not to 00:18:874 - which carries the same sounds. It almost feels like you should delete the (1) because of this, plus you have the similar pattern at 00:21:467 (1,2,3) -
  3. 00:29:059 (1) - This jump feels a bit forced imo. Consider moving it closer, and possibly blanketing around the previous 00:28:874 - or something. The main issue is because it's offbeat starting on the red tick, so it doesn't feel like a jump.
  4. 00:40:170 (3) - This should be a 1/6 slider with reverses to match the drums.
  5. 00:41:837 (1) - Try adding a finish on the head to go along with the bell noise? In all honesty, I don't even hear the bell in the BG here so I'm not sure why you're using the hitsound.
  6. 00:59:985 (2) - Nazi: x+1 to x468 so the tail stacks on the 00:59:244 (3) - properly.
  7. 01:06:837 (2) - I don't feel this second slider. It sounds like it should just be one long slider if anything from (1). It's not like there is a problem with it. It's more the fact it just feels so empty to the point where I don't even know if I clicked this when playing or not.
  8. 01:15:355 (5) - Try x472 y124 so it gets a nice curved flow feel.
  9. 01:18:688 (9) - Nazi: x-1 to keep distance spacing consistent.
  10. 01:24:985 (2) - Consider deleting this or merging into a half slider with (1). no sound plays on this spot so it'd work great for a 1/1 space or just a 1/2 slider.
  11. 01:29:244 - 01:29:337 aren't these two timing points useless? You aren't using tick-rate 2 or a hitsound change so nothing really gets affected here.
  12. 01:30:726 - Are you sure you want to break consistency with the Kiai times in the other diffs, just for this extra fountain? I don't really think it's needed. Consider changing this to match the Kiai's of the other three diffs.
  13. 01:38:410 (3) - Change to drum. The background music plays with the two drum sounds in mind.
