ive already tried that with the dll in windows folder, said same error, altho I did manage to get everthing off. Now im just getting a replacement cd.

Linux generally requires you to have a better understanding of computer architecture, software, and in rare cases the kernel than Windows does. So it's harder to learn, you could say.
