HI, im having some lag issues with osu. When im on the start up screen or get into a song, i get aroun 120 fps. However when the slide things load up, my game stutters and fps drops making it very difficult to play. Is there a fix for this? Ive tried turning off all the details and going into cfg to change it to a lower resolution. I dont have any background things running which can affect performance.
here are my specs, i am running 10.6.8 snowleopard, amd radeon 6750m graphics card. Using WS9Wine 1.7.16

Did you try increasing the tracking speed in the system preferences > mouse settings?s4nji wrote:
Not sure if it's only me, but the cursor is moving very slowly after the acceleration is turned off ( through some terminal commands )
I'm going to try that smoothmouse to see if it's different.

It's more or so the same, but it's possible to increase or decrease the speed/sensitivity with smoothmouse.
Unfortunately, you do. Though, I have done it for so long that it's basically in my mind to open Terminal immediately after startup. If I haven't used any other commands, I just press up then enter to execute it.Agrrox wrote:

I was using this earlier before i found smoothmouse. Do you have to rerun this script every time when you shutdown, restart or re-login?

Uh, the latest update seems to have broken the beta, at least on my computer. I'm using a 13" Macbook Pro with Retina, 8GB RAM, running 10.9.3, and when I launch osu!, all I get is a black screen. The music still plays and when I click in the center I can hear my clicks register, but if I click enough times the whole thing just crashes.

Yup, worked for me too. Okay, specifically, open Finder, then go to Applications, right click on osu!.app, and choose Show Package Contents. In there, open Songs, and it should say that the alias is broken. Choose Fix Alias, then choose osu! from the list that pops up, and it should work from there.DimensionStar wrote:
I found a way to fix this. Right click OSU and click to check it's package. If you press songs it says something about the files is corrupted or something ( I didn't pay attention) but it gives you the option to repair it and I repaired it by choosing OSU of the application it showed and now It doesn't become blackscreen anymore, I will be online if you need further guidance.
Try to use raw input on osu! options.edrian098765 wrote:

Advanced Wineskin Tutorial
Because the downloadble osu wrapper is outdated, and wineskin came with so many bugfixes and performance upgrades
I recommend to do these steps ...
1. Install Wineskin (Drag and Drop into your applications folder) from this webiste: http://wineskin.urgesoftware.com/tiki-i ... =Downloads
2. Run Wineskin.app
3. Download Latest Engine
4. Update to latest Wrapper Version
5. Now Right click your wineskin application ( in this case osu!.app)
6. Inside osu!.app run Wineskin.app
7. Run Advanced> Tools> Change Engine Used ( use the latest Engine you actually downloaded)
8. Run Advanced> Tools> Update Wrapper and do this TWICE, i REPEAT DO IT TWICE because i have experience that some applications have issue when u do this only once
9.Run and enjoy osu!
10. aditional after long time playing you feel like your osu is freezing or approach circles are lagging you can open Terminal.app and run this command:
sudo purge
What it does it clean up your mac memory.
I think that wineskin is stalling or stealing much memory after long run.
Hope this will be helpful.
I'll plan to make wrapper running 4.0 NET (actually i have one)
You might be able to stop calling this beta now. It's perfect.garricklee wrote:

This solved all the lagging problems I had!
Now osu on mac is almost as same as on Windows!
I tried this out several times now but everytime my framerate drops about 50 % and I am actually getting much worse performance in terms of latency. Even when I downgrade to the original wine engine it won't go back to the F tePS I get usually. This is the part that concerns me the most. I can only get back into the original performance if I do a complete reinstall of Osu! removing it completely from my drive and redownloading it.Agrrox wrote:

Not really, but I don't play as often as I used to right now. It could be because your Cpu decides to do something else while you are playing osu!Kurogamii wrote:
