I have confirmed with myself and three other players (Chocoliti, WhiteAries, and K i R i K a R u) that currently the Special Key(hereby SK for convenience) and the Another Special/Center Key(hereby ASCK for convenience) do not register as intended when pressed alternating very quickly, as if you would stream (zxzxzxzxzxzx) in osu! standard mode. As high-level difficulties special modes in o!m often include what may be considered as "streams" on the special key, this malfunction is a considerable problem in playing N+1K maps.
A recording of the problem

In this video, there are six 'hitting sessions' of the special key. The first three are either the SK or the ASCK single-tapped quickly; the last three are the SK and the ASCK keys tapped alternating. You can see how each tap registers independently in the first three hitting sessions, but only a single long hit is registered in the last three hitting sessions.

While three is a very small number, as all of the three people I have asked about this problem (four including myself) has this problem, I think it is a problem on the client side. If this could be looked into, it would be great.

osu! version: 20140513.7 (latest)

Fixed, thank you!

What even are the special key, center key and N+1?

I think the issue here is that both count as the same key, and one will only trigger if the other is currently not held down. When alternating quickly, osu thinks one of the buttons is still down while the other one is being pressed, which leads to either only half the presses registering or the column registering as if it's constantly held down at higher speeds. It's like binding two different buttons to K1 for standard and using those to stream.

I can confirm this though, it happens to me too.

Any example skin / map i can test this on?

Neither skin nor map matter. The default skin with any random 8k convert will work. Set both Special Key and Another Special Key in settings. I suspect the issue (or at least a similar issue) is that one won't trigger if the other is held down - hold SK and press ASK and nothing will happen. This means that if you alternate them very quickly it starts behaving odd. If you first hold 1, then hold 2 while 1 is still down, then release 1, you will have switched keys without the game registering any change.
