All that things here are *vectors in CMYK :3

*vector: A vector file is a graphics file that contains a vector image, rather than a raster, or bitmapped, image. Shapes and lines make up vector graphics, which are fully scalable images, while raster images are made of pixels and cannot be scaled up without loss. Graphic designers prefer vector images for logos and line art because they can be converted to a wide range of sizes without distorting the image.

I know that the original post said to upload images in png, but... How about gifs?
There's just this one idea that won't leave me alone and I'll definitely try doing it (properly) and will upload here, but wondering whether I should start it in 1000 x 1000 pixels for high res, or if that would be a biiiiit large for a gif xP
So basically, wondering whether I should bother making it in high res or just submit a stillframe for high res and the actual gif in a smaller size here?

Honestly, I loved your gifs in the last contest, but I wasn't sure what to do with them either. I think it'd be worth it to make the gifs at the large size, and I'll include them in the voting.

Honestly, I loved your gifs in the last contest, but I wasn't sure what to do with them either. I think it'd be worth it to make the gifs at the large size, and I'll include them in the voting.

I was upset that I wasn't able to enter last months contest. I tried entering but the picture that I started drawing ended up looking awful, so I decided to enter this months contest.

You change the size in whatever drawing application you use .-.
For gimp, it's Image -> Resize Image, shouldn't be too different for anything else
(if it's a scan and you don't have gimp, then it's a useful tool for any editing and it's free)

I like this, but it looks like you slapped on a picture from Google. Get a vectored image or remove the black, lol. It just looks so slapped together and it removes from the greatness of the picture.

This took a lot more work and fixing than I expected, but it's finally done and I'm kinda proud of the result :D
(can't believe how long it took to make something so simple-looking o_O)

Ummm one question. I'm currently working on the colouring on my PC. It was written in the forum rules that it has to be 600x600px and 1000x1000px. I'm new at digital art, I have always done traditional art. I was wondering if someone could explain what that is, whether it is size and pixel, and how to change it. For your information, I'm using Adobe Photoshop to edit my art. I really want to submit it on time. Can anyone help me to explain? And i just need to make sure it's 600x600 and 1000x1000px and that it matches the theme rite? Anything else I should take into notice?

px = pixels.

web friendly (the image you should post with the image tag) version has to be 600x600 max. So if your picture is 500x589, it's fine.
high quality (the image you link to) version has to be at least 1000x1000. So it can be bigger than that.

As for changing the size, you'll need to look around your image settings (something like "resize image"), but I'd suggest that you do it after colouring in the big image. Maybe someone else using Adobe can help you.
(or you can just google "adobe photoshop resize" or something)
Also, good luck - it took me a while to learn digital colouring properly, since it's so different xP

Is it okay to use other sources for background or a certain item? I saw one of the picture registered for the competition using a globe from google (I can clearly see the colouring technique for the globe and the characer is totally different). Is it okay if I use a background for my art as well? I draw everything by myself except for the background. Or is it not allowed?
