Mod Live! is a project started by Tasha and dkun to both encourage communication from mappers and modders and to provide new mappers and modders a valuable resource of information in a live environment. It is our belief that live communication of mods gets ideas across better and helps both the mapper and modder understand why certain decisions are made regarding mods, leading to a better map and better overall mods.
All mods done through this project will be streamed live at http://www.twitch.tv/osucommunity (Current Status: Offline)
What are the requirements for using this?
There are actually very few requirements for getting a chance at getting your map modded through this system.
So I meet the requirements, how do I get my map added so that it has a chance of being modded by you guys?
This is also easy. We have a simple Google document that can be found HERE that allows you to quickly get your map added to the list. There is no queue for this, maps are selected at random and according to the time the stream is live.
I'm a new mapper, can I still use this to get my map modded?
Of course! Any maps (so long as they are standard or taiko difficulties) can be submitted for us to look at!
I'm a new modder, but don't really know what I should be looking at in maps. Does this stream help with teaching to mod?
Yes it does! As the primary focus of this stream will be modding maps, there will be a wealth of information provided by reputable mappers AND modders that should help you in your own modding and mapping. We also plan on having Q&A sessions, Map Request sessions, and plenty of other fun events for the future of this stream!
What you should use this thread for:
Here are some of the things that you can use this thread for:
As of right now, there is currently no schedule, so to see when we are live I suggest following the twitch channel. In the future if this gets bigger then there might be a schedule in place, but for now there isn't.
Who is currently involved in this project?
Tasha - Project Lead / Streamer
dkun - Project Co-Lead / Streamer / Tagalog to English Translator
Nyquill - Streamer / Chinese to English Translator
I think that just about covers everything for now. Please post your ideas and thoughts on the project below! We will keep people up to date with posts in this thread whenever we go live, which should be in the very near future!

- As this will be an english stream, a decent understanding of spoken and written english is required unless we have a translator for your language as a member of staff.
- Having the ability to use voice chat is required, as people who are selected for getting their maps modded will be brought into a mumble server to be given a one on one modding session.

What you should use this thread for:
Here are some of the things that you can use this thread for:
- Questions relating to the osucommunity stream
- Suggestions and ideas for future streams and how to improve the stream.
- Discussion of the osucommunity stream
- Requesting a mod of your map. All mod requests should use the submission form HERE
- Berating or insulting a mapper or caster of the stream. Constructive criticism and input for casters is fine, but insulting the casters or the mappers they are working with is not and will result in your post being removed and you being given an infraction.
- Complaining that your map hasn't been selected. There is no priority system in place, so don't be upset if your map isn't chosen.
