Problem Details:
I've been wondering about some avatars why they are getting a bit pixelated in the In-Game panel. So I asked around about the sizes of some avatars:
Seph's or Weez' Avatars are clean on the web page but at in-game they are a bit pixelated on some parts:

(used Weez' avatar since he wasn't online at this moment)

Both avatars are not of equal length on all sides (Seph's avatar is 391x406 and Weez' is 256x234) but also avatars with the same lenght on each side (like mine) are affected by that, it's 256x256:

Avatars with a size of 128x128 (or less) are not affected.

osu! version: 20140410.5 (latest)

It's because they have to be resized from their original resolution, to the one you see in-game.
I would recommend using 128x128, but it's entirely up to you.

Hmm, so why they can't be resized the same as they are in the Website? I have no real clue about it but it just wonders me.

They probably recommended 128 x 128 to avoid things like this. Just resize your image to those dimensions and your problem will be solved?

I think osu! can't make them smooth ingame (maybe). It would be nice to have that (ain't requesting).

Then this wouldn't make a lot of sense to have this option if the pictures should been made at 128x128 to have them not pixelated at in-game.

Wasn't sure if it's a feature or an actual issue so I put it here.
