Can you get one from a song here? even if its not popular? https://osu.ppy.sh/s/126590 for example this one, is this safe to download? Thanks!

All of the beatmaps should be safe. I haven't seen anyone posting about a beatmap having a virus.

If you are worried you could only play approved/ranked songs since they are all download by many people before being approved/ranked

i'm pretty sure the beatmap submission system has taken steps against including any executables in the osz container

lol I was curious why nobody asked this yet.

Guys, I have a confession to make.

All of my maps have viruses that will, on January 6 2016, cause your computers to grow legs, walk outside, and start dancing to Digimon songs.

I'm sorry.

well... osu songs can't execute nothing on your pc, it's the osu program that reads the text on file and show the notes syncing with music so you can get a virus only using a osu! song downloader from an untrusted souce
Chamelo
Possible, because .osz file is technically .rar (you can even open these files using Winrar!)
So, that's mean you can even bundle unrelated file to it and select 'no' when osu! ask to delete this file.

But I'm not 100% sure about it, since imo virus file needs to be executed.

You cannot get a virus from an Osu song unless you double click every file that is extracted into the song folder~

I think its a veeeeeeeeery low risk that you will find a virus in a beatmap.
