I want to change two of my keys to Cherry MX Red switches, I know I have to de-solder the leds and switches and the solder the new ones to the board.

What I want to know is: Is there any risk that I will damage the keyboard?

Make sure the keys fit properly and hope you don't fail.
Measure the size of the keys before attempting! :?

Nah, Razer gear is generally known to be very robust so there is nothing to be worried about.

Okay, so shouldn't do any damage to the keyboard unless I'm mentally challenged?
Have you switched switches before? If so, could you add me on skype and guide me a little once my switches arrive?

To be honest I'm not really sure if this is such a good idea, since reds and blues feel radically different when it comes to actuation. Like, I guess it would help for streaming if that's what you want, but typing in general is going to be very strange. I know a friend who got a K60, I think, and he wouldn't stop whining about the rubber domes even if they were just on the function keys. I'd imagine the difference with the switches would probably be enough to throw off your typing. If you're fine with that, then I don't think there'll be any other issues with it, but keep that in mind.

EDIT: I just realized how dumb some of my wording sounds. Ugh, I feel so off today.

I will most likely switch out 8 and 9 on my numpad, this way it won't affect the typing in any way :)
