Hey guys, I'm relatively new to Osu and Mafia, but I've been playing it on another website (Shoryuken) and I'm hooked. Here to introduce myself and sign up for any and/or all Mafia games :)
Also, what do the different formats mean by "Open" or "Closed", I've seen a few of those and am not familiar with them. One last thing, is there any way to subscribe to a thread topic to where you get a message or popup when someone replies? Thanks ahead of time

I'm also new here. What I can say now is there won't be any new games until the currently playing game is end.
I assumed that you see "open/closed" format on "modding queue" forum, right?
That's a mod for osu! beatmaps, not for mafia game.

Can I mod somebody's beatmaps while playing mafia? I owned a small modding queue, and I still didn't finished the list yet. ;w;

Thanks CT. In the queue of Mafia games thread some are listed as "Open" "Themed" or "Closed", I was curious what the difference between those were, not Osu maps.

From the look, a "themed" seems to be a role play. But I don't know about open and close.

Open = The roles in the setup are known
Closed = The roles existing in the setup are unknown
Themed = Theme flavored or Non-Normal.

If I understood the question right, I guess as long as you won't make any Mafia references outside this subforum, there should be no problem with that. I remember modding several fartownik's and one Sephibro's map while in a game.

Don't think so it's up to mods for them to have their own ban list if they so feel like it, additionally you can have your personal list of people you don't wanna play with.

And Sephibro and fartownik are like that. If you play IRC mafia, they keep their forum mafia attitude in forum mafia and IRC mafia attitude in IRC.

If you can prove that you have done the trust tell as scum, you should message one of the mods (if you haven't already) that this is case and prove it.

It might not matter to you now, but it could affect your reputation there in the future if you wish to return.

That rule doesn't apply when you're speaking to a listmod or other skittle that is not in the game. It specifically says so here.

It kinda like abusive of replacing out, not trust tell. (I usually replaced out sooooo many games at sudden busy month, but I had never gotten banned, so what's the problem?)

The real problem argument "replacing out are determining alignment" is bullshit.

I'm requesting /out of that game if it goes through before the site's up long enough for me to /out there. The site constantly going down completely broke my motivation to care about anything that goes on in it at all.

Hey, I have the same problem. But today I can access it like a mad.

My on-going game (only one), there is a person who have this problem also. I thought this was ISP's DNS error.

DNS error is on the user end, not on the server end, you should check with your ISP to see that it's resolving domain names correctly (try using the windows troubleshooting thingy)

Hmm, forum.mafiascum.net isn't loading right now.

The servers that run forum.mafiascum.net are having some trouble. This is usually just a temporary problem, so you might want to try again in a few minutes.


That's the exact error I'm getting.

That's really weird, i haven't had any issues with mafiascum for a while. There was like only a time it was down during Marathons and another one this week that was for like a couple of hours, but since the new servers i haven't had much issue.

I tried to solve this problem 1 week ago, but I didn't find it. I went to my internet cafe, and that cafe had same error with my house. I kinda get conclusion ISP's error. Seems not.

If error happens, probably I will do the same like Caligno.

That's error is terrible, sometimes free proxies can't go to mafiascum also, which this is weird problem.

@Lincolm: Try changing your DNS server. That's how I was able to connect again.

ed: also perpetual mylo has 5 scum out of 12 people. it shouldn't be too hard to catch scum in there especially if you're good at associatives

which is why i have respect of the set up. it's actually really hard for scum to play.

I kind of want to make a game with all newbies while barring them from reading any previous game/ the wiki just to see how they'll react.
