In the skins folder, I noticed file called pause-background. I am aware that pause-overlay and fail-background are for the pause and fail pictures, but does the pause-background actually have a use? And how are we meant to use it?

Next time, please post at this thread instead of making a new thread since its dedicated on new skin projects.
Anyways, I haven't seen any files named "pause-background" on the default template so it must be a mistake and should be "pause-overlay".

pause-background doesn't work even if it's in .png
osu! only accepts pause-overlay.png as the pause background
if that user ends up having that "pause-background" and pause-overlay, he/she might placed it as an another option for pause-overlay.png
