2014 has started, so lets try to make the First Impressions thread better than before.

Like last time, everything will be on the google docs, so if you want your opinion to show, please post there. I will try to update this thread with updates on the spreadsheets, but no guarantees on when I will do it. Like before, feel free to post your opinions in the thread. Remember, it is extremely helpful if you use color codes when you post (like, neutral, dislike), but I will try my best to interpret what you post.

In addition, this time around, to make recommendations easier, I will update the op with Recommended watches (>= +5 rating ), show to avoid ( <= -5 rating), and highly polarized (have more than 3 +1s and 3 -1s and have rating that does not put it in the other categories). If anyone else has other idea of what can be done to improve the thread, please share.

Google Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... sp=sharing

Also, if there are any mistakes in the chart, please fix it yourself. It is tiring and annoying for me to enter all of them myself, so I will probably make mistakes. However, I rather have everyone enter in their own values and updates, and since it is so easy, I am only going to blame you if the issue is not fixed.

Pupipo!
Random low budget occult theme with bad animation and lackluster jokes. Dropped

Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga.
Yay, another mediocre romcom with excessive censoring. I read the manga version of this LN which I find okay, but maybe because of that, I couldn't really find the series that funny. I could predict most of the jokes and their execution was pretty boring with very little animation to follow the joke. Then again, in general, the animation looked pretty low budget. Even Ogura Yui couldn't save this series for me, dropped.

Buddy Complex
With valvrave ending, I guess we need another mech show where I don't know what is going on. Besides teh storyline that doesn't explain much, the animation was decent, ignoring the low detail CG mechs. With that said, I'll watch another ep before saying anything about this.

Saki: Zenkoku-hen
Saki like normal. Yuri...Oh well, in pursuit. (Not exactly sure why they introduced Rinkai when they haven't even gotten close to finishing that match in the manga yet?)

Noragami
More occult stuff xD. Unlike the previous one, this one actually felt deceent with some solid action scenes and soem decent humor. However, there were times where the action felt choppy and the humor felt forced. Going to watch for a while before saying more.

Witch Craft Works
...This is JC Staff.....What...? This was easily one of the best uses of CG I have ever seen in anime. There were faults with some of the CG fire and falling buildings, but the CG rabbits were really well done and created some amazing action scenes. I guess if I need to further to their faults, the backgrounds look terrible, but in this scenario, I am willing to overlook that. Beyond the animation and art, the storyline itself is your typical romcom with a weak male protag. It is executed the same way the manga was with the same atmosphere and mood, so whether or not you want to watch another generic shonen action romcom is up to you. For me, those action scenes were enough of a sell for me to watch onward.

Nobunaga the Fool
Unlike Witch Craft Wroks, this is an example of how not to use CG, or how to not do just about everything... From what I can tell, this seems more like a cash grab trying to comine things that were popular Horizon (and its relation to historical actions/figures), Arpeggio (CG usage), and mechs. However, the animation itself looks pretty low budget with fight scenes that don't show the point of impact combined with terrible looking backgrounds. To top it off, the plotline seems like some convoluted futurisitc version of Nobunaga's conquest. I think I can safely drop this.

Tonari no Seki-kun
Never read the manga, but the episode was way too drawn out for its own good. Felt like a slower and lower budgeted version of Nichijou with the entire show being driven by 1 girls overreaction to her neighbor. Dropped.

Space Dandy
Another one of those shows where I know I am supposed to be laughing, but I just don't laugh... I don't know why but I really didn't find anything in the show that funny despite how outrageous some parts were. Dropped.
(Iif given a choice to watch the eng one and jp one, take the jp one. While there are the typical differences like the jp one has voice actors that are "better" at expressing the "correct" tone for jokes, the english one usually uses translated forms of the japanese jokes which works only sometimes, or skips the joke altogether, removing content that you could have enjoyed. However, I admit the english one had jokes that made more sense since funi's translation is a bit questionable at times)

As a side note, with Arpeggio's success last season, I expect this season to use a lot more CG than normal. You can already see it in quite a few shows, but there are probably many more to come.
Navizel
Saki: Zenkoku-hen - Oh Saki and the weird characters, reverse traps and yuri. Almost the same as before because of intensified moe (Studio Gokumi =w=). I really hope they would bring back the commentators from the first season which is Fujita and that guy. Still wondering why they made Achiga-hen look like Amae Koromo on the encounter with Saki. (13 episodes feel so short imo) Also, those floating towels what

Pupipo! - Ghosts and Slice of Life just don't really complement well and not enjoyable. Dropped.

ImoCho - "Another Shitty Sister LN Adaptation" -HorribleSubs. Also, too much censors which is annoying not because I want to see but it ruins the scene and makes it hard to watch. Probably will wait for the BDs.

Noragami - Best show so far. The girl isn't that weak which I really like. The OP and ED are great as well as the animations.

Witch Craft Works - The CGs are good but the protagonist is annoying as well as those fans. Not really expecting too much but will keep watching for now.

Tonari no Seki-kun - That imagination too amusing. What Seki does is just interesting and awesome.

Nobunaga the Fool - Not expecting much on this one but will watch more episode and see where it will go. History with mecha feels really weird.

Space Dandy - Alright episode 1. Animation is great but jokes are silly and unfunny. Still going to watch though.

Super Sonico the Animation - Super Plot the Animation, a show mainly for fanservice. Too obvious they only care for the fanservice because the art on male characters are bad. Somehow enjoyable though.
Kyonko Hizara
Space Dandy: It's was okay, not really that good tho. I like the animation to it, but the jokes are kinda bland. I'll try to keep watching it.

I need to start watching more this season, but a majority of what people are showing me is generic school plots.
Justykanna
After watching seven anime last season, I've decided to go with six this season. The two below, two more later on, then Strike the Blood and Log Horizon.
...Well, I'm gonna go over my bandwidth limit again.

Nobunaga The Fool - I don't like the background art, at least so far, but otherwise, this one looks like it could be good. I'm not really into anime that have these long histories to them, but we'll see.

Nobunagun - This just doesn't look appealing to me yet. I don't much care for the art style at all and I feel like future episodes are going to be just too silly for my liking. The little text bubbles at the start were a funny little touch though. I'll give it another episode or two with this one. If nothing pulls me in, I'm gonna drop this one.

SoniAni - SUPER SONICO THE ANIMATION:
Did I really watch anything??? I felt like nothing happened in this ep. It wasn't really funny, and animation is only okay (with yet another CG ending). Oh well, probably giving this another chance just because it is an idol show. Almost for sure going to drop after next ep though

Nobunagun:
...What am I even watching anymore: terrifying art + more historical figures (obv with our favorite warlord) + yuri + a really strange gun with a small barrel and a huge backside + alien invasion + a metal ed =???? More shock factor than anything else. Regardless, this animation looks terrible and the plot looks like it is hacked together in a way that is worse than Symphogear S1, dropped...

Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta:
Another show with lacklsuter backgrounds and terrible CG. Add on a story that sounds like a coming of age story about some ppl going into the unknown with a really childish mc, sounds way too clique, and with an mc that I don't like very much, I am just going to drop this.
Navizel
Nobunagun - This is just too messed up.

Seitokai Yakuindomo* - Best comedy no contest. Still awesome and perverse.

Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta - That escalated quickly. Visuals are nice, MC is a bit unlikable though. Going to watch a few more and see if he can become like Hikari from Nagi no Asukara.

Buddy Complex - Not another Sunrise Gundam Oh well, first episode is not enough to rate this one. I don't even know what's going on.

D-Frag! - This is like GJ-bu and Seitokai no Ichizon. I got what I'm expecting on this show. Also, good to see a scary Hanazawa Kana.

Hamatora - Overpowered MC and wears headphones... deja vu. I love the art and animation of this one, kind of reminds me of Undermine's old avatar which I found cool. Also, that first case was hilarious.

Winter 2013 = Winter 2014 , GJ-bu = D-Frag! , Hamatora = Mondaiji-tachi ouo
JonnyThatJonny
Too early and I usually wait for the first 3 or 4 episodes for opinions. Buddy Complex and Noragami had good 1st episodes though. Also I liked Nobunagun's 2nd half of the episode and char design.

And Super Sonico the Animation was one of my most painful 20 minutes in recent times so I'll just break my own rule and drop it after the 1st episode.
Armaggedon25
At this point, I've only seen one out of the entire lineup, because the ones I want to watch haven't aired yet. Will update as time goes on:

Nobunaga the Fool: Came for the premise, staying for Tomokazu Sugita as Leonardo da Vinci. Mademoiselllllllllllle!

On a more serious note, The animation doesn't seem all to bad at the moment. CG is a little weird, but I can live with that. One of the things I really don't like right now is how impossible it is to understand the character of Oda Nobunaga though. Will need further watching.
Rio-
First week... only follow 2 shows for now, will catch up with others later...

Seitokai Yakuindomo S2 - one of the series I've been waiting for this season... Aside from the heavy jokes in this series, I enjoy this series so much... Best Comedy

Super Sonico the Animation - A Massive Plot story... so yeah... but still enjoyable
Mogsy
Really behind so far.

Space Dandy - Was really let down by the first half of the episode, since it wasn't really all that funny. Suddenly, though, it started being fantastic around the halfway point. This episode proves that Watanabe is better at style and ideas than actual writing (his episode of Bebop was the worst one, for instance), and isn't the most positive beginning to a show. However, if you just let the ludicrous nature of the show suck you in, it's a fun time. Especially if you're more keen on an older, campier style.

Seitokai Yakuindomo* - Really nicely surprised, since I wasn't the most keen on the first season. Hopefully this season can improve the pacing of the jokes a bit (slowing down the pace a bit to work on its comedic timing for some of its jokes), but otherwise it's just dumb fun sex comedy that doesn't actually heavily involve fanservice. Neat. Also loved the sharp jabs at previous GoHands projects in the first scene.

Hamatora - Ehh. I thought I didn't mind it at first, then I watched other offerings this season. It's pretty nifty-looking but doesn't have the animation or cinematography skills to pull of tricks it's trying to steal from both GoHands and Shaft. The story seems to be EXPOSITION DUMP to UNINTERESTING FIGHT SCENE LACKING TENSION so maybe I'll just hold onto it to see where it goes. Otherwise, it's got dumb character names and reeks of the GetBackers/Darker Than Black formula in the ways it really could go wrong. Not to mention hamfisting a conflict setup into the last ten seconds of the episode. I'd pass on it in favour of the slightly stronger titles this season.

Witch Craft Works - Kinda in the middle on this one. It's not overly unpleasant but nothing really stood out about it to me. The CG is nowhere near as good as people hype it up to be (looks like a slightly higher-end Ars Nova to be quite honest) and the animation is otherwise just fine if not a little higher-end than what I'm used to from J.C. Staff. The basic setup so far actually reminds me of a mix of the Shana-style light novel plot with a genderbent otome game plot, so maybe it'll attempt to go interesting places? The last scene has me a bit worried since it basically introduced a bunch of antagonists just...out of the blue, transferring into the class and it could really go wrong from here on out. We'll see what happens with it, I guess? now watch every otome game hater fucking love this show

D-Frag - It's simple and fun, with the occasional joke falling flat. The second half of the episode is much weaker than the first half, with the first half mostly on display due to its nice character chemistry and HanaKana really selling her part. It's like a more tolerable GJ-bu at this point, so I'd kinda recommend it.

Tonari no Seki-kun - Decently-paced, cute, and charming. A tad on the funny side so it's a fun distraction for under 10 minutes weekly.

Noragami - The beauty of this show is that it does a lot with very little. Not a lot is hamfisted into exposition and not too much is revealed right away, along with fantastic chemistry between Yato and Hiyori. The animation and cinematography are gorgeous, and alone make the show worth watching due to the ambiance it conveys and the nice look of each scene. It seems to be a neat take on the yokai/spirit fighter shonen formula, so it's worth looking into.

Super Sonico the Animation - ALL YOU CAN EAT CAKE BUFFET. This show is garbage, why did I watch it. Not the worst thing this season (that's the softcore porn title I won't write about besides for this blurb) but avoid it unless you really have a hankering to watch animated tits wearing headphones for half an hour a week.

Wooser no Sono Higurashi Kakusei-hen:
Another low budget short. Jokes didn't really catch my attention, so probably not watching (Didn't watch first season, so it probably wasn't for me anyway)

Onee-chan ga Kita!
Another low budget short, except this time it is about an older sister addicted to her younger brother, you can probably guess what happens next. In short, defintiely not a show I want to watch.

Seitokai Yakuindomo* (I watched this earlier, but forgot to comment about this)
All the blatant sexually charged jokes of s1 with some pretty some other well executed jokes (only showing the hair of the short person, countdown timers for jokes, and more). If you are not offended by the sexual jokes, it is probably worth watching. On another note, yet another show that uses a combination of drawn and CG scenes with the CG usually making up random students or various other background items.

Hamatora:
This may have been just an intorudction chapter, but the execution is probably beyond redeeming. We have a horrible first mystery combined with an action scene barely better than Nobunaga the Fool with overly oversaturated colors that destroyed color detail, with excessive blurring and ugly background textures. I can't find a reason to watch this show, dropped.

I really hope that there are some other shows worth watching this season (besides hopefully Magical Barristers) because I haven't given this many red marks in a while.
Mogsy
bliss: Wooser is intended for preschoolers anyway. Not really the intended audience of anybody posting here. :P

Will post more on other shows later. For now, a few shorts.

Pupipo! - I dunno, I took to this one a lot better than others did, I guess. Simple ghost-related story that's nice to watch in tiny bite-sized chunks. Colour palette seems fairly muted and it's limited in animation, but the latter seems common in this kind of show and the former fits the mood. I'll keep up with it.

Strange+ - Exploding butts. All you need to know about this one.

Pupa - Ah, yes, Studio DEEN finally doing a show that calls for their kind of animation (as in QUALITY). The backgrounds are suitable for the vibe they're trying to go for by doing a horror story but still feel like they clash with the characters somewhat due to not seeming like they're fully drawn. However it fits the mood well and they really didn't pull any punches on the gore sans the rather blatant censoring in one scene, so I'm kinda intrigued to see where this one goes. now we just need a short of Franken Fran okay?okay
Navizel
Strange+ - This is..strange. Random and not even funny.

Pupa - As expected from a short anime. Animation was good but it was too rushed. I'm going to watch a few more

Hozuki no Reitetsu - Not amazing, there are moments when I smiled a bit but that's all.

Mahou Sensou - nano fanboying Quite generic but good at the very least. Bamboo sword beating a metal sword is just crazy and impossible.

Mikakunin de Shinkoukei - Bland male MC. Art was just good for the anime. Enjoyed it but I don't think this will focus on the romance.

Navizel wrote:

you have obviously never seen a real swordsman me myself being trained under one know that A: bamboo (depending on the type) can block or even deflect a sword and B: a sword made of wood can EASILY block and strike the swordsman with the metal sword rendering him unconscious but hey a unskilled swordsman could easily get killed attempting this so......
Justykanna
Magical Warfare: I'm gonna love this anime if they keep the silliness out of it (and the fanservice). Looks pretty. Story seems like nothing special, but we'll see. Also, nano did a song for another anime and it's amazing. =D Super happy!

The Pilot's Love Song: Nothing really hooked me to this but nothing's really pushing me away yet. I'm more curious than interested at this point.

Buddy Complex: Literally the only reason I picked this up was because I saw Blissfulyoshi say it was a mech. And I like mechs! The start had a Gundam SEED type feeling (to me anyway...). I like it so far.

Ended up picking up Buddy Complex so now I have 7 anime for this season again. Oh the bandwidth... xD

@Mogs....yeah, I should have checked the intended audience first.... Thanks for telling me.

Strange+:
Navizel, summed it up well.

Mikakunin de Shinkoukei
A slow paced but slightly amusing romance. I really wish it moved a bit faster and had a male character who can do something more than rub a girls head, but I guess I'll stay for another ep. (Art is on the low budget side with lacking details and not too much sprite movement, but what did you expect for a show like this)

Pupa:
Ummm another horror anime with terrible art and some ugly jump horror with censoring.....At least it is a short, so it didn't take up too much time.

Sakura Trick:
So much yuri, in ridiculous forms. I'll probably suffer from brain dmg if I keep watching this.... And srsly using the same 2 textures for basically everything is not helping me (character models are the only thing that look decent)

I'll probably make the chart when I have time tomorrow or the day after
Mineko
Nagi No Asukara (second part) I don't know if is valid in this thread but is still in the category "Fall Leftovers" so.. This is the best anime of this year for me, too much feelings..!

Chuunibyou 2 (or Ren) ok what should I say? "vanishiment this world" I love kyo animation, so thats it.

Pupa i dont know, 1 episode for a short anime is still early to say something

Hamatora I like Azusa as character, and of course the opening theme by the singer of Galileo Galilei, my favorite band..but for the story I'm not a big fan of super power, but I didnt say that i dont like it. we'll see

I'm waiting for Mahou Sensou (I think in my country the sub are late) and Wake up Girls! .. well I'll edit this post again in the week-end :)
Mogsy
Editing this post more later. Hopefully you can get that google doc up soon, bliss~

Mahou Sensou - Honestly, not a fan. It's rather generic in design, rather plodding and textbook in execution, the only real positive of this being the stylish ED (featuring a great Nano song). It's boilerplate as all get-out; not offensively bad but it's got problems with its pacing and dialogue (especially when stopping a major chase scene for ~4-5 minutes of straight-up exposition). Even the name (Mahou Sensou, Magical Warfare) is really indicative of its generic-at-best work quality.

Hozuki no Reitetsu - Your enjoyment of this is very much based on your knowledge of Japanese folklore and knowledge of basic Japanese cultural icons/puns. It's a silly dark comedy, though, and I was giggling the whole time. The animation is pretty standard but there are true moments that stand out as fantastic (especially the CG for those goldfish flowers), so it's nice on the eyes. If you're looking for something a little different, go here.

EDIT:
Wake Up, Girls! - This one has a bit going for it. It doesn't have the steady optimism of shows like Love Live! or the pointlessness of The Idolm@ster, instead exploring the other, less-attractive side of the entertainment industry in terms of emotion. It seems like it'll go into skeezier territory based off of what's to come and seems to be commenting on the idol industry without getting overly cynical. It could really go anywhere from here. The animation was kinda lacking at points and the artistry was definitely not consistent (parts reminding me of Natsuiro Kiseki's lack of artistic consistency popped up every now and then), but what I loved was the muted colour palette, which fit the unsure mood of the show rather well. It could go anywhere from here, but I'm hoping it's to good places.

Nobunagun - Hello, limited Gainax animation. Not much really happens, plot is pretty thin at this point. What this show promises is dumb fun and it's so far delivering. Maybe it'll do more to stand out in the coming weeks? All I know is that it's not good but not terrible and I enjoyed watching it.

Sakura Trick - Okay, I'm not going to go super deep into my issues with this show which all end up being that fetishizing lesbianism through a hetero-male-gaze feels not only creepy but also like it marginalizes homosexuality into a fetish for straight folks and not a real goddamn thing (which also happens with most shonen-ai/yaoi, too, but from a hetero-female-gaze). Read the spoiler for all of that. This show's design is generic and nothing stands out about it other than OH MY GOD BOYS WATCH THESE GIRLS KISSING. Ugh ugh ugh. Bland panderbait and nothing else, with nothing else going for it (unlike last year's Love Lab, which proved me wrong as a very fun comedy).

EDIT 2: Upon further thinking (plus watching the movie and ep 1 right in a row), Wake Up Girls! gets a green.

Okay Mogs, as you requested the chart is now up

Note:I found a way to do it slightly faster, so it probably only took me 45min to do everything you see so far. Since I was in a rush, there may be mistakes. Please fix them when possible.
Mogsy
Thanks a lot, Bliss!
Navizel
Chuunibyou Demo Koi Ga Shitai! Ren - Same as before. If only Yuuta would stop that Rikka abuse I would've like this show more.

Sakura Trick - I'm expecting this to become yuri loaded so I'm good with this. Basically what I said on the other thread. I'm watching this for the yuri anyway.

Z/X Ignition - Lame transition and too much introduction on first episode that I got confused on the story. Won't drop this for now since it looks like it has potential. If only they would fix this.

adding up more later. Only watched Wake Up, Girls! movie so far so can't put this for now.

Nourin - Almost everyone is screwed up especially the teacher. I thought she'll be the typical 30-year (or in her case, 40) old virgin teacher but no. The eyes bother me a lot. Gonna keep watching more for angry and somewhat ecchi KanaHana.

Wake Up, Girls! - Not that bad of a start and I enjoyed it especially the performance. At least the art was much better than Gatchaman's. The group's seiyuu did a pretty good job on voice acting considering it's their first time doing it so +1.
Rio-
Nobunaga the Fool - A Spin-Off of Jean d'Arc & Nobunaga Oda story huh? At first i thought It will be lame, but after I watched It I'm impressed with It's art and story somehow... I should not judge anything based on It's cover from now on

Noragami - First thing, this show looks like Monogatari if You ask me... the details, characters, everything (Yato kinda looks like Araragi somehow)... I'm impressed and will follow this until the end

PuPa - 5-mins Anime, but this shows make Me feels intrigued... but sadly, the art wasn't quite impressed me much

Witch Craft Works - Bored in first episode somehow... I dunno if I should watch this

Nourin:
Well, everyone on this series hyperactive to an extreme. Silver Link is really trying to milk the country side thing after NNb, but please don't confuse this with Silver Spoon. They don't try to teach about farming here, instead expect a more fast paced/ high tension romcom with ecchi scenes. This show is defintiely not for everyone but if you want a decently animated (some of the real life scans are weird), baka to test like show with a bit more crack give the show a shot. (For those that don't know, Silver Link is probably my favorite studio currently, so I probably would watch this show regardless)

Nisekoi:
Shafted, simplest explanation for what happened. Regardless, my feelings for this anime were quite mixed. Since the manga before, I barely laughed throughout the entire ep, since all of it was predictable and executed as expected. As for the animation, it definitely looks less shafty and higher budget than Shaft's normal stuff, but you still have backlit gates, bright colored schools with really definied desk shapes, etc, basically monogatari. However, there were also times were animation just fell off a cliff, the walking scene between Raku and Onodera, where they looped their awkward walking animation gif, not moving anywhere, for like 10s. It was just an ugly thing to watch that loop. To further my anger, Raku acted for cringe-worthy than normal, so probably not going to watch this series, but giving it one more shot.

Wow, I wrote a lot for these 2 series, I'll try to shorten it next time.
Navizel
Nisekoi - Not really sure how I'm going to color this. I've read the manga and dropped it because it's too cliche, A transfer student tsundere, dense MC, a coward girl who can't say what she want, and soon to be in anime an another girl who's an addition to the harem; it's just your usual romcom harem with focus on the misunderstandings and comedy which continues the series without a girl winning. Chitoge is also unlikable bitch and Onodera is somewhat irritating because of her shyness. That said, it's SHAFT so I'm not really sure. The Monogatari feel is dragging me to watch this show as well as the ClariS op/ed (and I guess the coming-to-school-with-bread-on-mouth thing). For now, I'm going to keep watching this for Shaft's sake, though, if they did bad on the following episodes I might drop this one.

Sekai Seifuku: Bouryaku no Zvezda - I thought this is about school uniforms screw my vocab Well, aside from the loli, the character designs are great as well as the tanks. The first half was not that great but the second was awesome. Probably one of the anime with great potential this season.

Mahou Sensou:
I really enjoyed the action, but besides that, this show felt really cliche and cheesy. (Also thought this was one of the weakest nano songs I have heard) I'll give it another ep and go from there.

Z/X Ignition:
Cliffhangers and some terrible action scenes, but I sort of like the MC. With the storyline not really making sense right now, I am going to watch another ep before deciding what to do with this show.

Wake Up, Girls!
As Mogs said, a much more serious idol show with very few jokes and some drama. It does show a darker side of the industry, but it is definitely not as fun to watch. I'll stick around another ep to see where the drama takes this show. (On an off note, why were the only panty flashes I recall in the ep, in the winter concert)
NoHitter
Nisekoi - I read the manga and I love the animation done here. It reminds of of Monogatari and I don't know if that's supposed to be good or bad xD Anyway, judging from the summary, the show is going to end right on what I think is the best part of the manga (play). Also, you got to love Onodera's voice (HanaKana).

Saki Zenkoku-hen - Our favorite yuri anime with mahjong undertones is back. I enjoyed watching the first season, and the second season (don't remind me that Achiga was 1.5) seems promising as well. Although that may be because of my manga reading...

Chu-2 Ren - Basically the same vibe I got from watching the Chu-2 first season back then. The first episode doesn't really introduce the main problem the series will have yet. Neutral on this show (but the animation is still great)
Navizel
Minna Atsumare! Falcom Gakuen - Random low-budget anime short. Usually what you'll expect in a short anime. 2 minutes is a joke.

Go! Go! 575 - Cute and okay art but everything else is meh. Is this a promotional short anime or something

Robot Girls Z - Not that bad but not that good either. Old and repititive jokes. For the sake of moe mecha I'll continue to watch this.

Onee-chan ga Kita - gawd forgot to comment on this one. Anyway, this is just your another incest show with one being a tsundere. Nothing special at all.

Wizard Barristers: Benmashi Cecil - 5/10 art but the CGs blended well. OSTs and the action parts are awesome. This show has too much potential so going to keep up for now. Also, holy fuck Norio Wakamoto in the cast. M0V 0V0 doesn't even exist and the girl's address is a joke.

Hozuki no Reitetsu:
I don't get the jokes, so no choice but to drop it.

Go! Go! 575:
Okay art, but typical low budget short, and didn't even make me laugh.

Robot Girls Z:
Feels like team rocket with almost every female archetype. Since I legitimately found some parts funny, going to watch some more.

Wizard Barristers - Benmashi Cecil:
As expected from the trailers, there were some amazing action scenes, except the excess motion blur really degraded the viewing experience. To accomplish the action, a lot of CG was used, some of it was good, but some of ti felt out of place, sort of expected. As for the plot, we seem to be having court strange combination of court room logic and all out magical battles, but if I have learned anything from Phoenix Wright, evidence is the only thing that stands in a court of law. Except, this show hasn't really shown much evidence yet.... I'll probably watch regardless, but I hope the court case next ep is logically sound, or close to it.

Sekai Seifuku: Bouryaku no Zvezda:
Yet another boring show. There was like 15min of slow predictable jokes, and then followed by a fight scene that only had one redeemable part (the bullets going through the head of the alien), and a bunch of teribly executed parts. Top this off with the series of having more questions than answers, and you don't really have much to watch. I doubt it is worth waiting to see the answers this show gives...
Rio-
A little bit late... Quick Review

Chu-2 Ren
As expected from KyoAni, Arts quite improved compared from the 1st season and nice story

Mahou Sensou
Arts & Story kinda goods somehow... and I <3 the OP/ED

Nisekoi
Goddamnit SHAFT! You make this series looks pretty Awesome, and a good story (well, nothing less than the manga)

Sakura Trick
Okay... Reminds Me of Love Lab somehow, but more Yuri than that... will follow this

Wake Up, Girls!
2nd Generation of 765PRO kinda looks like iDOLM@STER... but Story is kinda good though

Nisekoi - The thing is, Shinbou's particular style pretty much works when trying to create a discomforting effect. This is why Nisekoi is not really working for me, but it's a fine enough base story that just could've used a less obtuse adaptation, visually.

Wizard Barristers - Plays like a standard procedural but with magic (Law & Order: Mage Edition), and has the director's signature style in terms of character designs. What's refreshing is how the episode is captivating even if you're not a fan of procedurals, being impeccably animated and boasting really good cinematography. What makes this show green for me is just how charming (besides for perv frog) it all is, and it'll be interesting to see this genre played out in anime in a way that isn't Ghost In The Shell. Looking forward to more.

Dropped. Just... ugh...
Navizel
Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha - Everything feels cliche and bland. Keeping this for now.

Dropped Nobunaga the Fool, Pupa, and Buddy Complex.

Maken-ki! Two - boobs>story. I really wish they would make this better this time. The manga is good even if it's generic. Yeah, will keep watching this one.

Avoided Youkai Watch because for children. Watching Wooser though. rofl Sanzigen.

Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha:
I enjoyed the manga, and the show did execute the jokes in this series decently. However, the show is low budget and slightly slow paced, making it not the greatest thing to watch at times. I'll see how episode 2 turns out

Mikakunin de Shinkoukei Episode 2:
Once you stop treating this show as a romance show and more as a comedy show about the little sister, it is actually quite fun to watch.

Z/X Ignition Episode 2:
Unlike episode 1, there is a lot less action and a lot more humor. I actually found it quite fun to watch, so switching this to green as well

Youkai Watch:
Another kiddy show, don't think I need to say more. As for why I watched, I don't know

Maken-ki! Two
Yay excessive fanservice with basically nothing else... (I really wish they get to the actual arc, some of the later fights in the manga are enjoyable imo)

Edit: Chart is now updated, and wow our turnout is really low this season. Am I doing something wrong with the thread, or something else? On another note, will update op at a slightly later date. (Thanks Navizel and Mogsworth for updating your entrees)

Everything looks fine to me. Maybe people didn't like the season much and didn't bother posting because of it?

NourinFrom what I have seen on /a/ and here, seems to be a bit of a sleeper. I am really enjoying it as of episode 2. frequent art style changes, and a bit more lewd than I am used to when it comes to slice of life/highschool, considering the second episode.

I only picked up stuff that I knew I'll most likely like, but well..whatever here they are.

Chuu2koi! Ren - I loved the 1st season, and this didn't let me down so far.

Nisekoi - Akiyuki Shinbou you glorious bastard. Another possibly great show from SHAFT, I really like the setting and the character desing.

Sakura Trick - Episode 1 was great. Really. But then episode 2 came, and this whole yuri thing started to feel way too forced. It has some amusing scenes, but if they keep forcing those kiss scenes just because they can I'll most likely drop this.

Witch craft works - I really liked the first 2 episodes, but I can see this turning into a boring romcom. I hope it won't.
