Is buying a tablet worth it to get better?

I'm thinking of buying a Tablet, but i want to know if its better than a mouse... ok my mouse is garbage its a wireless mobile mouse 3000 (1000 dpi) and it sucks. I don't know anything about a tablet but i might buy one anyway because my mouse sucks and its WIRELESS.

In the recommendation for tablets I found Wacom Bamboo Splash Pen Tablet ($66.99) and Wacom Bamboo Capture Pen and Touch Tablet ($89.99) but are they both the same? Is the Wacom Bamboo Capture Pen and Touch Table only more expensive because of the touch screen or is it because its more effective?
Should I but one of these recommendations or should i buy a different kind of tablet?

The Pen&Touch is only more expensive because of the multitouch capability and the hotkey buttons, both of which you won't be using when playing osu!.
And just a word of advice: You can buy a good mouse (i.e. Logitech G400, DeathAdder) for cheaper, so that might be more worth it if you play other games.

If you are having problems playing with mouse, then "try" a tablet first before buying it. This is so you don't regret your purchase later :P
And like you said, avoid using a wireless mouse because they tend to have some delay in registering movements.

First off, wrong forum

Secondly, it's generally accepted that tablet players are more successful than mouse players. However, it's more of an issue of "Do you want to spend $60+ so you can click circles". I don't mean that in a negative way, but if osu is the only thing you need a tablet for, and you end up dumping osu after a few months, you're down $60

What I did was I asked for a cheaper one, and unless you want a pen and touch tablet, it won't make a difference on the price. If you want a pen and touch, get the cheapest one available to start off with, but if don't want pen and touch, go for a cheap on from eBay or some other site, I got mine really cheap, yet it still works fine. They're all the same but with different design.
