It's annoying, but I don't see how talking about stuff everyone knew years ago is exactly a bannable offense

At first I didn't want a Rotom, but seeing how it was always a pain to face Rotom-W... I feel like I must have it. Those resistances and all that are just too good.

The other Formes for Rotom, though... I wonder why Game Freak decided to "separate" them instead of giving us access to a room where we could freely pick its Forme like in Gen IV and V.
You still can pick the form though, check the boxes at the bottom of middle floor in Sycamore's lab. Unless Im mistaken and you can't switch between them after you pick one...

EDIT: Just confirmed it. You can freely switch between Formes, even Recall it back to its original. (So why can you catch its other Formes, if that's the case...)

Also, on Route 8 the guide claims you can encounter both Seviper and Zangoose standalone encounters in both games. No, you only get Seviper ones in Y and Zangoose ones in X.
EDIT: But seriously, the "breeding advice" section was pretty much them copying Gen V information off of the internet. It's outdated and destroys the guide's credibility.

Good thing I'm focusing on VGC rated battles because the musketeers and Cresselia are everywhere in regulsr rated battles apparently. And then there are the 6-legendary teams strolling about now

Omg I just got my copy of White so I can pass my Diamond mons to my Y game... I wonder how much it'll take me to beat it T_T and which starter is the best competitively speaking (since I don't really like any of them aesthetically)...

As in the most viable out of all of them or the gen 5 ones? None of them are really viable, Emboar and Samurott aren't fast enough, while Serperior doesn't have good offenses to complement its speed.

Mhm, I was checking their stats and they don't look so great - Serperior has a reaaaally nice speed but lacks so much power.. with so much speed one would think it would at least be a good status inducer pokémon, but I believe it lacks the bulk and movepool, judging by its stats. Anyway I'll go with it just because I prefer it over a pig and a... whatever the water-dude is xD
By the way, to keep the conversation X/Y related, I had the closest battle of my little poke-life today. Both me and my foe had only one pokémon left, he had a 1HP Blaziken due to Focus Sash and my Mega Gyarados was at 38 HP. Obviously, he was at +123123 speed due to that retarded ability, but he decided to go for High Jump Kick instead of whatever fire move he had (it was a baton passer Blaziken, no mega, protect/baton pass/hi-jumpkick/fire move I assume since it gets STAB but I didn't get to see it anyway). Well you know how it ends, he missed the kick and killed himself. I would have gone for the fire move even if it wasn't effective.. I mean I only had 38 HP left...
