My Idea is a new section on your profile right under where it shows your first place ranks there will be a "Tied for first place rank" section that will show maps you are tied for rank #1 on.

This should and needs to be separated from where it shows your regular first place ranks. My suggestion is place this new section right under where it regularly shows first place ranks.

Thoughts?

Why? It's always been a case of first come, first served and I find nothing wrong with that.
If you come in late and equal first then it's just tough luck.

Mania players would probably love this (due to the max score of 1,000,000), but the current system is fine as ampzz said.

I don't see why a tied #1 wouldn't be considered a #1, makes no sense.

^ This. I mean, it's the same effort made, right? Then for the guy who actually came in first on the first place just also get a first place notice on their profile.
