If you're (or that person, i don't care who) so urgent in need of a mousepad, you can create one yourself with your own design on it.

Who the hell ask, especially creates a donation page just for some mousepad replacement? You literally could walk over to any kind of store that sells cheap mousepads and use it temporarily until you can afford buying one of those super-gliding esthetic latex in-the-dark-glowing 100% soft-fabric voldemort hardcore limited edition gamer 5x the dpi mousepads branded by steelseries that is sponsored by razer which is sponsored by monster energy drink signed by the whole blizzard entertainment crew and morello.
Anyways, since it's not for you (i hope), tell it that person to do either of those things instead of relying on anonymous help from strangers in hope to reach 100 votes in 3 weeks just for a mousepad with no ground breaking reason behind it (nor is he probably famous for something).
All in all, this one takes the cake for being the deepest first world problem topic i've encountered yet.
