Oh, also, thanks a lot for the work everyone is doing! I remember that some years ago I was really sad because the port lacked a lot of things, but now it runs very smoothly except for some little things, like the crush for download maps on multiplayer without osu!direct and the before mentioned edit mode crush. I had this problem before download the last version (20131322), which has some optimizations to run smoother. I recommend to backup the songs/skins/"important things" folder and score database.crashlaker wrote:

Yallo ^^ I'm back after a lot of University stuff that needed to be dealt with. I'll be working on getting a fully compatible Mavericks build out ASAP as I have also upgraded to Mavericks so I can now test it. That said I'm no longer able to test anything below OS X 10.9 so I can't ensure how any further versions will work on older systems, though hopefully this new version will fix any old issues.
Also before you come with Mavericks issues be sure that your security settings are set to run Apps from any source and not just the App store.

Hello, I have a really annoying problem, which is starting to piss me off.
When I want to play osu!, (which is not often because the mac version is so annoying) it crashes after I
play a few songs. But first of all, I have a strange font, its not Arial its one I downloaded and that looks pretty crappy.
I can't even read something because its a fat font, and its also tiny.. Then, after it crashed, I try to open it again
and it says that osu! is still running, and asks me if I want to force-quit it, when I press yes it says that I can't force-quit
it and I shall try it through the taskmanager. Well, there is no osu! to quit in the taskmanager so my question is, what the hell
should I do? It worked really good months ago, but then I didn't play for a long time and now all I have are these
problems. I hope I get some help because last time I posted something, I didn't even get one tiny reply.

Try exiting Osu through the actual page. Never click the (x) or force quit it. Doing it through the page will also save all recently played maps (with replays).Kei Yosuke wrote:

When i attempt to open Osu the icon just bounces on the dock once, the light comes up, and then Osu closes right away. What do i do???? :'(
1. Right click Osu!.app and click on "show package contents".
2. Open Wineskin.app.
3. Click "Advanced" then click "Tools".
4. Click "Update wrapper" and do this twice.
5. Run osu.
If osu wont start you can also try "Refresh wrapper.
8. optional download latest wineskin here http://wineskin.urgesoftware.com/tiki-i ... =Downloads
9. open Wineskin.app and download latest engine, latest is WS9Wine1.7.7
10.Right click your Osu!.app and click on "show package contents".
11. Open Wineskin.app.
12. Click "Advanced" then click "Tools" then "Change engine Used" and set it to latest
13. repeat solution above this one
Also u can alternatively reinstall osu
Make sure you COPY/BACKUP you data first before you do these steps (Songs,Skins, collection.db etc.)
Delete files and folders in osu!.app/Contents/Resources/Program Files/osu! exept osume.exe
Then go to Wineskin.app click Configuration> in path bar (windows EXE) click "browse" and select osume.exe
Then run osu!.app and osu will reinstall from osume.exe.

Just tried, still not working.Agrrox wrote:

Use any random software on the internet to set resolution of OS X to 2880x1800 (like SetResX per example).
Launch osu, set reso to 2880x1800.
Quit osu.
Make you mac go back to 1440x900 (with the system settings this time, quite and possbily delete setresx)
Relaunch osu
It should still be beautifully retina-like.
Or at least it worked here.
For osu on OS X, give up on no-bugs for now. Somewhen they'll come up with a native client. until then we have to deal with wine
this is happening to me too. Osu! will no longer open. It simply lights up on the doc and then closes automatically. I was playing on Windows for the past like 3 months...Yes there is a way! You need to download Synapse version 1.16 or less, I believe. I'm not sure at which version it starts causing the problem (the latest version is 1.18) so if 1.16 doesn't work, download 1.15 instead.m_warsh wrote:

After this my osu! is definitely lagging a little too. It's playable thoughmockingod wrote:
Deleting Razer Synapse seems to have worked. It'll bounce in the dock for a second, then disappear, but then the message that says winebuildersomething.exe has become unresponsive, then a few seconds after, Osu! will open.
However, I find that it is kind of lagging a little more than it usually has. It may just be me, because I haven't played in half a week, but I can notice the visual lag that I've never had.
It's still definitely playable, though.
