So yeah, I ended up ordering a tablet since I'm not a very patient person. And so, I have never used a tablet, haven't even touched one.

Do you guys have any tips for a newbie with a tablet(it hasn't arrived yet, but will be here around Thursday)?

When you got the tablet, be aware that the feeling would be very different, and getting used to the feeling needs time.
Adjusting your tablet area to make the feeling somewhere close to when you were using mouse would definitely help you adjust faster.

Then it's about tablet area.

If you find that small area works good for you, then you may wanna drag your pen on the tablet while playing. Since small area is easier on jumps, dragging would increases precision in flows (Think about writing or drawing). In order to do that, you'll need to disable mouse button in gameplay, which could be accessed by pressing F10. If you see someone presses M1 button in the beginning and towards the end of a breaktime and the M1 button was not pressed afterwards, then you can tell that he is using this skill, since breaktime is not considered as gameplay, the "disable mouse button" doesn't work then, so if that guy drags when playing, the M1 key is only gonna show pressed during the breaks.

If you prefer large area, then hovering works perfectly, since large area has quite good precision, you'll wanna hang your pen to reach the jumps. You'll need time to get used to the distance, so that your pen won't get too far away for the tablet to detect it.

Both of the setting preferences have remarkable players, it's just a personal preference, so find the one that suits you the best.
The only real advantage of hovering is that you can use tapx to pass some hard streams (but only the ones require high speed but little aiming) when hovering, but you can't do it when dragging. The fact is that this skill/trick is hardly ever used, so it doesn't make significant differences.

This will definitely help me a little, I can't wait until the tablet arrives. It'll be quite the experience, using a tablet :)

Find a way to hold your pen in the most relax way possible, your stamina will last a lot longer that way is a lot easier to jump with a relaxed hold. Though I find myself gripping the pen pretty hard when I have to spin.

Well that wouldn't count as a PEN Tablet right?

My tablet at least has a pretty crazy input delay when I use it all touchy-feely.
Though tbh even if it didn't I'd find it really strange to play like that.

Anyone have any experience switching between mouse and tablet?

For example, when can I beat the hardest song that I can beat currently on mouse? Recently got lent a tablet from a friend.

A week or two, I guess. I'm a tablet user from the beginning though, that's what I hear from a couple of guys.

It depends on your current level, so everything from 4 hours to 2 weeks. Just keep going, it'll keep getting easier :D
