Hi! I promised a mod a long time ago, so here we go!
(In english this time)
|Standard|[Easy:]
• 00:12:738 (2) - Let me nazi you a bit.. I know that you try variety with your sliders, but this Slider looks pretty weird and ugly. I suggest you to use a simple blanket in there instead
• 00:43:796
(Spin) - What about adding a hitsound in this Spinner? It will sound perfectly with the change in the vocal, you can probably add a Finish.
• 00:48:032 (3) - The rhythm becomes really consecutive for an easy diff. with BPM 170, and in definetly the slider end doesn't follow exactly the high pitch in the music, for that reason, I recommend you to reduce this slider length by 1/1 (and leave 00:48:738 without any beat).
• 00:50:855 (3) - (^). In addition is a better idea if you start with a rhythm change in 00:52:267 - (as you will do if you make these changes)
• 00:57:208 (4) - This note sounds definetly off-beat, because it is not any sound at this point. Move this note 1/1 back to follow properly the music (add a clap in this note after to do that).
• 01:14:149 (4) - Try to don't use a lot of consecutive objects with that BPM in Easy diffs. at some points it could be hard to follow to new players. Instead of this 1/1 slider, remove the slider and add a single note in 01:14:502 - (add a clap in this note ofc).
• 01:25:443 (4) - (^)
• 01:34:620 (2,3) - Definetly these sliders could be much better (yes, a bit nazi but it'll help you to fix the structure of the map
). I've already fixed that for you, here have a screenshoot and a code (this code will have the pattern (2,3,1,2), because I needed to fix the spacing between the notes and a little blanketing too)
Screenshoot + Code316,226,94620,2,0,B|322:158|265:126|265:126|203:92|210:28,1,240
301,28,96032,2,0,B|308:92|246:126|246:126|189:158|195:226,1,240
252,296,97443,6,0,P|172:312|112:188,1,240,4|0,0:0|0:0,0:0:0:0:
160,116,98855,2,0,P|271:115|300:223,1,240,4|0,0:0|0:0,0:0:0:0:
• 02:05:326 (1) - I personally dislike this note here, it is not following any high pitch in the music, the new section should start in 02:05:679 - where the music sounds much higher and represents more the music. On a second scale, this note is breaking your comboing (but this is really secundary
), but yeah, would be better if you delete this note and start the new section with the slider in 02:05:679
• 02:12:738 (3) - A Clap at the slider end will sound exquisite
• 02:24:032 (2) - I saw that you didn't use red ticks at all here to make some of variety. In this case, sounds reasonable (listening to the music) if you reduce this slider length in 1/2
• 02:30:385 (3,1) - Swap the combo placement to adapt it to your symetry, actually it seems just too weird to me
• 02:55:091 (3) - You took the worst idea here :/.. The slider end is not following any concrete thing, you have two options here:
- Extend this Slider length in 1/1
- Reduce the Slider length in 1/1 and then add a single note in 02:56:149 - (In both cases, the reason is to follow better the high pitch in the music)
- Well, this fits well as a Easy diff. but you should adapt better to the BPMs.. I think you know why I say you that, but I'll repeat it anyway, your Easy are Hard when you map a song with semi-high BPM and your Normal diffs. are really simple (easier than your Easy in that case) when you map in a semi-low BPM song.
Take that in consideration to your next maps, it'll help you to be a better mapper, believe me..
A Global opinion about this map, it is pretty well constructed in general, it just bother me some consecutive patterns but I mentioned most of them in my mod, so yeah [Normal:]
• 00:12:385 - 00:23:679 - The lack of hitsounding in this first section made me feel weird at the time play and mod the map. Some soft whistle would fix perfectly in this first part, you should try adding some of them here and there
• 00:24:738 (2) - I'd recommend you a clap here for the reason mentioned above
• 00:25:443 (3) - *Really Nazi* Move the Red Sliderway point to
x:300 y:120 to fix the following blanket with (4)
• 00:27:914 (3,4,5) - This pattern flows a bit bad to me, it will fix the flow if you do something like this
• 00:29:502
(x) - The previous pattern sound weird as well, I find coherent to follow your hitsounding and to complete the sentence ''Can you remember'' add a note here with Clap.
• 00:33:561 (2) - Add a Clap because this combo without any hitsounds sounds really weird
• 00:43:796
(Spin) - As I said in Easy, you can maybe add a Finish here to follow the vocals change
• 00:46:267 (1,2) - *Nazi* Fix the blanket between them, you know
(I love to naziing you with the blankets haha)
• 00:46:267 - 01:06:032 - I can do a long rhythmical mod in this section, there is no variety here, it is just a simple 1/1 1/1 2/1 sliders that repeat a lot of times. Some stops in some place sounds fitting as well, for example, you reduce the Slider in 00:53:679 by 1/1 and some other cases. Reconsider that, because the music let you use varieties sometimes.
• 01:25:796 (3,4,1) - It is weird this 3-plet in 1/2, at least here, sounds pretty random. I'd use a 1/2 Slider instead of (3,4).
• 01:28:620 (5) - Move this Note to
x:256 y:136 to give the map some of variety
• 01:34:620 (3,1) - Swap the combo placement for consistency with the Easy (?
• 02:05:149 - 02:16:620 - Some soft whistle is suggested as I said in my first suggestion here in this diff.
• 02:06:561
(x) - I'd add a note here, after the 3/1 Slider, this place sounds really empty.
• 02:07:091 (6) - I'd add a Clap here due to the lack of hitsounding in this section
• 02:50:502 (4,5,1) - As I said before, I find this 3-plet random. So, would be better if you use a 1/2 Slider instead of (4,5).
• 02:52:620 (4,1) - *Nazi xD* - You should try this slider more ''curvy'', because this is breaking a bit the thematic of your sliders.. You can maybe do something like this (I'd try some curvy in (1) too).
Screenshoot + Code268,228,172620,2,0,B|248:280|260:332|260:332|200:316|126:327,1,240,8|8,0:0|0:0,0:0:0:0:
• 02:57:914 (5) - This combo is pretty much longer than the rest of the map. It sounds coherent if you add a New Combo here
- The only thing that bother me is the lack of variety in the pattern that I mentioned you, and the hitsounding sometimes too. The other looks pretty prolix in general.[Hard:]
• 00:26:326 (2) - Put this note in
x:200 y:204, the flow and transition in the map will become better (After that move (3) 1 or 2 grids down)
• 00:43:796
(Spin) - You should add a Whistle in this Spinner as I mentioned in the other diffs.
• 00:50:855 (1,2,3) - This rhythmical pattern sounds weird in general, I'd use a simpler thing like this one..
• 00:56:149 (4,1,2) - In general, I don't recommend slider ends over downbeats in the hardest difficulties, in addition some part of this pattern sounds forced. To make this pattern better, reduce (4) in 1/2 and add a note in 00:56:502 - instead (add a NC in this note btw), after that, the note in 00:56:679 - feels really forced and it is not following anything in the music, so would be better to remove it from here. Have a screenshoot to end my idea
• 00:57:385 (3) - The music definetly change here, I'd add a New Combo
• 01:08:679 (1,2,3,1) - Reduce this jump at least a bit. After the spinner, this plays forced and this is not a good thing.
• 01:19:443 (3,4) - Ugh.. This flows bad. With a simple Reverse Selection (Ctrl+G) in (3) you will fix that.
• 01:21:914 (1,2,3) - Another weird jump, the music doesn't go in a high pitch comparing with the previous part. Maybe a little spacing increase between (2,3) is the best option, so you can maybe do something like this
• 01:26:149 (1,2,3,4) - This pattern, needs some tweaks to have a perfect rhythm. Actually it only has 2 Sliders in 1/1 and those notes over red ticks that doesn't follow the music properly, try this instead:
• 01:33:208 (1,1,1) - I see your intention here, but still, the combo spam is not the way I think. If I were you, I let this as (1,2,3) instead.
• 01:40:091 (6,1) - I'd increase a bit the spacing between these objects, it provides an excellent effect listening the music and seeing the storyboard. You should give it a try
• 02:13:796 (4,5) - This stack called me a bit the attention, because actually you don't have stacked patterns. For a better transition, unstack these objects.
• 02:28:796 - 02:30:208 - 02:31:620 - 02:33:032 - Don't you think that all these notes are just providing a bad rhythm? I personally think that, these notes are not following any relevant thing I think, so my suggestion is delete all these notes and try other thing with the objects placement.
• 02:37:443 (2) - Add other repetition in this Slider, will cover properly the music, you will notice that
• 02:41:679 (3) - This Slider provides a bad sound here and in the following pattern, you know, this is not a good thing :p. I recommend you to reduce this Slider in 1/2 and then add a note in 02:42:032 to fix that
• 02:48:738 (3,4) - *I can be nazi here
* In (3) move the middle slider waypoint 2 grids up and in (4) move it 2 grids down to emphasize a bit more that curve, actually that point looks really unnecesary.
• 02:49:796
(x) - Add a Note (Stacked with the previous (1) if it is possible).
• 02:50:326 (2) - Since the music change here, a New Combo is the best option
- I think (and hope) that everything will become much better. Actually, the map played fine, but needed some tweaks to have a better flow/rhythm.. I think this will help. Still, good job with this diff. I have to say.[Insane:]
• 00:14:855 (3) - Flip Vertically (Ctrl+J) and place this Slider in
x:184 y:300 for a better flow
• 00:22:267 (4) - *Nazi* - Curve this Slider, this stright slider looks aesthetic comparing with the rest of the pattern. You can probably try a simple thing like this..
• 00:31:796 (4,5,6) - For consistency with the previous part, you should increase the spacing between these 3 Notes
• 00:43:796
(Spin) - Exactly the same as I suggested you in the previous diffs.
. Try adding a hitsound in this Spinner (preferably a Finish).
• 00:45:561 (1) - This is technically wrong, there is no sound over 1/8. Everything is
1/4, make sure to fix that please
• 00:50:502 (4) - *Nazi* I'd try a curvy slider here as well.
• 01:08:679 (1,2,1) - I'd use a constant spacing between these notes, it will fit better with the song.
• 01:14:149 (3,4) - This jump is bad placed, the music pitch change is not here, if you want a jump you should add it between (4,1,2,3), I highly recommend that.
• 01:18:385 (3,4) - That kind of patterns flow bad almost always, I don't recommend the usage of them in a Standard diff. Try using a Reverse Selection (Ctrl+G) in (3) and you will fix this issue
• 01:25:620 (3,4,1) - I didn't understand this inconsistent spacing, I mean this part is following the same thing, the sentence ''Can you remember''.. Would be better if you make that consistent
• 01:33:208 (1,1,1) - Exactly the same as I said in Hard, the combo spam is not the way. So, try using (1,2,3) instead
• 02:12:208 (3,4) - Useless jump, do a reverse selection (ctrl+G) in (3) please
• 02:26:679 (4,1,2) - Oh no... The spacing in 1/1 and 1/2 is exactly in a same pattern, this is not good :/. Try a stack or other thing, but would be better if you change that to don't have problems in the future
• 02:28:443 (1) - This is pretty similar as I said in Hard, this note is just providing a bad sound here, remove it please and try other variety in the object placement
• 02:37:443 (9) - Add other repetition here to cover better the rhythm (as I said in Hard)
• 02:50:326 (3) - What about a New Combo to show better the usage of the jump and due to the music change?
- Some inconsistencies, and 1/2 spam sometimes, but still is not a bad diff.|Taiko|[Taikin Muzukashii:]
•
Settings:--> The Overall Difficulty is a bit low, looking that this is a Muzu (not a Futsuu, not a Kantan). I'd increase it by 1 Tick (OD+1)
• 00:04:973 (12) - I read your pattern, and I see your idea but I think is not 100% completed. Use a don here instead, the highest pitch in the piano already disappeared.
• 00:07:091 (18) - Following your idea, this should be a kat, because the sound in the piano become higher
• 00:10:620 (28) - And.. This should be a don as well
• 00:12:738 -
Slider speed changes are not recommended in Muzukashii (specially used in this way, in a same pattern). If you want to keep it, move this green line to 00:12:826 -
but I highly recommend you to keep the 1.0x in all the map.
• 00:15:914 (49,50,51,52,53,54) - This is a weird variation in the pattern, I personally find it not totally fitting. To make it more ''fitting'' and consistent with the whole of the map, remove (51) and then add a kat in 00:16:796.
• 00:21:561 (73,74,75,76,77,78,79,80) - Well, I felt something like I mentioned above. I think you tried a variety but it was not 100% achieved. I'd try something like this instead
• 00:42:385 (156,163) - I'd add finishers in these notes, they sounds fine, flow fine and follow properly the music of course
• 00:49:796 (183,189) - In these notes, I think kats will represent the music better
• 00:53:414 (200) - This not is really inconsistent comparing it with the similar sections as this one. Remove it from here please
• 01:08:149
(T) - Useless inherited timing point, is not doing anything here. It's ok if you delete it
• (00:23:502 - 00:33:914) - (01:09:208 - 01:26:149) - These sections are pretty inconsistent, but the song sounds really similar. In the first case you decided to follow the drums, in the other one you decided to focus in vocals preferably. I think in some way, you should adapt this and make it more consistent between them (just saying)
• 01:31:796 - 01:33:208 - 01:34:620 - 01:36:032 - 01:37:443 - 01:38:855 - 01:40:267 - Sorry, but this sequence is not acceptable for a Muzu, the slider speed change is not acceptable as I said before. Please, remove these Inherited Timing sections and keep always the same Slider velocity.
• 01:31:796 (356,360,364,368,372) - After to fix the above suggestions, I'd add finishers in these notes to give it other ''touch'' to the pattern
• 01:43:443 (589,590,591,592,593) - This pattern sounds a bit wrong, remove (591) and use a d k k d pattern here.
• 01:42:738 - 01:52:973 - Hmm.. Basically, I didn't understand that much what you follow in this section. In my opinion, you should use more patterns like I mentioned above.
• 02:15:914 (523) - Use a kat here for a better flow.
• 02:16:973 - Well, I'll repeat that one more time, but slider speed changes are not totally acceptable in Muzu.. Especially in this case because produce overlapped notes and this is unrankable. If you want to keep it, move this Inherited timing point to 02:17:061 - but I highly recommend you to remove it from here (I won't repeat this stuff anymore in this diff.
)
- Is not bad, but it has quite a lot inconsistencies.. With more mods, this can be fixed. [Taikin Oni:]
•
Settings:--> Due to the velocity of the map, I think that a tick in the Overall Difficulty it won't hurt
(OD+1).
• 00:01:444 - 00:12:738 - I'd like to see this first part more consistent with the Muzu (The big notes are ok, but I mean the rest of the patterns).
• 00:45:561 (224,225,226,227,228,229,230,231,232) - I'd use a simplier thing here, always following the music but simplier. I'd try something like kkkkddddk. I personally find it more fluent
• 00:46:973 (234) - Hmm.. Finisher (?
• 00:50:502 (254,255,256,257,258,259) - This dkd doesn't follow the music really well, and flows weird as well. I'd try something like ddk d k d instead in this pattern.
• 01:07:796 - This Slider speed change provides overlapped notes, and this is unrankable nowadays. Keep this green line with 1,25x and then add a new green line in 01:07:885 with 1,0x to fix that
Well, Technically fine. Just try to fix all these overlapped notes, because they make the difficulty unrankable :/This became longer than I thought
Still, is not a bad mapset, but some more mods here will make the map even better.
That's all from me! Hope this can helps you!!
Best of Luck, Xin!
