[Taiko] Perceived difficulty rating: 7* Muzukashii 7* Oni
Before *anyone* points out, <Muzukashii> 00:24:640 (71,72,73) or 01:34:458 (109,110,111) being ddk is perfectly acceptable in this context and level.
<Muzukashii> 01:27:186 (78,79,80) - This however not so much. Maintain more consistency by either removing (79) or adding a katsu at 01:28:731
Fixed it in another way. Made 01:27:367 (80) a katsu instead and then applied katsu to 01:28:731 afterwards. The reason I went for this choice was to make it a little more simple while keeping my version of variety. Tell me what you think of this if you want as well, I like how this turned out.

Please don't go off-topic here ><
No changes, but thanks for the suggestions. It's just not my style to apply them, sorry. :3Lally wrote:
[Oni]Nah, I am not a vocal mapper. D is a lot better here in my case because of 01:00:277 (267) - , to keep the consistency in the structure and it flows better. I sometimes use vocals to create variety in rhythm, but not on key notes like this.
- 00:48:095 - what about to add a slider here that ends on 00:48:458 - like you did here: 01:57:913 (579) - My mapping style is something I call progressive variety where I add more stuff as the song goes, however I keep the base structure consistent. That's the reason I didn't map that slider here and I would like it to stay that way.
- 01:12:095 (332) - what about a D here? There is no crash in the music here and the transition wouldn't be as smooth if it was a D.
- 02:10:095 (647) - i think a K will fit better here
Sorry for not applying some of the stuff, it just doesn't work with the ideas I had in mind.kanpakyin wrote:
Taiko mod here:
[lolcubes' Muzukashii]
- 00:04:822 (4) - I personally think that would be much better if you can move this note to fit the pitch and instrument there. (The instrument seems stronger there) While you are right, this would devastate the intro structure I have here. The rhythm would be gone because all you would have are 2/1 notes.
- 00:13:004 (31,32,33) - I don't think triplet fits the music there because it's clear that there are no instrument/drum present, so the triplet is redundant imo. A note at 00:13:186 - should be enough. There is actually a drum, but it's kinda quiet.
- 01:11:186 (3) - , 01:11:731 (6) - change the notes to kat there so that it can fit the pitch? I believe it fits the pitch better as it is because the most important note stands out. If I do what you ask, it doesn't stand out anymore. Btw, I usually don't map to pitch, but sometimes I take it to shape some patters.
- 01:22:822 (54,55,56) - Same as 00:13:004 (31,32,33) -
- 01:52:276 (185) - I think you can change this back to don to fit the drum sound there and also it can correspond to 01:52:458 (186) - Ok.
[lolcubes' Oni]
- 00:04:822 (5) - I personally think that would be much better if you can move this note to fit the pitch and instrument there. (The instrument seems stronger there) Same as in muzu.
- (Kiai time) - I don't understand some the big notes there. Some places don't have accent or strong beat, but you still place a big notes there. As a result, the big note doesn't show a good effect and something it sounds weird/bad. Could you review the big notes again? It's actually pretty simple, let me explain. Every finish is a really heavy moment and in almost all cases a cymbal crash, but the parts without the finishers are because I am shaping patterns based on something else. I could put some more finishers but I believe that would be flow breaking so I won't. :p
- 01:10:822 (325) - big don, 01:11:367 (328) - big kat and 01:11:913 (331) - big kat here? This can emphasize the vocal and also the pitch. You can consider removing 01:12:095 (332) - too. Eh, changing the kats into big kats could actually work, but changing that don to a big don definitely not, that's not a heavy note. I don't like the finish idea though, because this part is relatively calm. Putting finishes here would ruin the calmness and I believe they are emphasized enough with the kats that are already there.
- 02:20:640 (711,712,713,714,715,716,717,718) - ^Same
nothing else.
