[General]
- soft-clap sounds too loud and whistle is barely audible. I highly recommend lowering the volume of the custom clap and increasing the timing point volume. However, this may make the finish too loud so a easier way to fix this is to add a louder custom whistle (e.g. amplify the default whistle a bit). For reference, here's the default soft-whistle. http://puu.sh/2BchY
[Easy]
00:24:330 (2,3) - Pretty hard to catch (3) due to the red > white tick transition. I would prefer adding a repeat to (2) or do a short slider starting on 00:25:317.
00:35:382 (1) - Good place for finish (begin)
00:51:961 (3) - I hear cymbal here so I prefer finish (with a timing point to lower the volume if you wish).
01:06:172 (4) - Prefer to see this slider extend by 1/2 and change the clap at end to whistle.
01:09:329 (3) - Adding a repeat makes 01:10:119 (1) - easier to catch and follows the guitar
01:15:645 (3,1) - Same as 00:24:330.
Some other places I feel finish fits
00:56:698 (4) - at end
01:01:435 (1,2,3) - On (1.2), begin and end of (3). I also prefer no clap on the repeat here.
01:26:698 (2,3,4) - Finish on all begins. I definitely recommend putting on (4) as there's a clear cymbal sound there.
Looks good, but notice some red tick > a hit circle on white tick stuff which is not easy to catch at this approach rate, I highly recommend to change. Also notice some additional places where finish fits.
[Normal]
00:02:817 (4) - Prefer if you add a repeat, all the notes here follow the bass guitar so far, so it sounds like something is missing when you don't have something on 00:03:211.
00:11:698 (1,2) - I prefer if you move this a bit more up to be honest, feel too close to the previous note.
00:20:382 (3,5) - To make the rhythm a bit more interesting, consider variating by doing 1/2 repeating slider here.
00:21:172 (4) - Whistle on the stanza here sound nice, so I feel you should put whistle at begin
00:24:330 (2,3) - I prefer if lyric is followed here, e.g. this rhythm http://puu.sh/2Bcyk.
00:35:382 (1) - Prefer finish at begin and prefer no whistle at end
00:38:442 (4) - There's no clear sound on the blue tick, but on the white tick, I can hear a bell sound, a drum sound, etc. so I prefer if you start this slider there instead.
00:39:330 (1) - Feel like finish should be here
00:40:908 (4) - Whistle at begin
00:42:487 (1) - ^
00:44:066 (4) - Whistle on repeat
00:59:856 (3) - Whistle at begin and remove from begin of 01:00:645 (4). The music here has a pretty clear focus on stanza (listen to vocal)
01:03:014 (4,5) - I prefer if finish was used rather than clap.
01:07:751 (4) - Whistle here
01:08:935 (6) - Whistle at end
01:13:277 (5) - You always put whistle only on the stanza so I don't see why you decide to put it on here.
01:15:645 (2,3) - Extend slider by 1/2 or hit circle, move 1/2 back to be on red tick
01:16:632 (4,5,6) - And if you want to do something like this, the rhythm should be like this http://puu.sh/2BcKB
01:26:698 (1) - Consider finish at begin
Trying to keep whistle logic a bit more consistent here and mention the parts where I find the rhythm was weird. Placement seems good to me.
[Hard]
00:33:606 (2) - Seems like you wanted to stack this with 00:31:632 (1) -
00:35:382 (1) - Prefer if finish was add at begin
00:35:777 (2,1) - Listening to music here, sounds like it should be clap at begin and end of these two sliders.
00:37:751 (1) - Music is 1/6 so change beat snap to 1/6 and shorten by a tick. I also recommend moving 00:38:540 (2) - 1/8 back and adding another repeat although I find 1/6 snap fits best with vocal here.
01:01:435 (1,2) - Consider finish instead at begin
01:03:014 (1,2) - Finish instead of the whistle here if you do above.
Now for flow:
00:02:126 (5,1) - I prefer if the bass guitar is followed here. It follows vocal right now, but the vocal rhythm is not a very nice rhythm to follow, something like this http://puu.sh/2Bdgc. A simple slider on 00:02:422 (and be sure to stack this slider on 00:02:027 (4) - for a nice effect.
00:05:481 (2) - Prefer if you add a note here (stack with previous note) and do a jump on this stack [00:05:382 (1,2,3) - Move further down]
00:06:172 (4,5,6) - I like this more when it's a repeating slider. It's a feel thing, either you do all repeating slider, or you do all hit circle, but since you did repeating slider here 00:05:580 (3) - I think you should continue to do so and lot of hit circles in a row seems more fitting for Insane.
00:07:948 (2) - I believe you did a jump on this for the clap sound here, but if you listen to this part in comparison to 00:08:146 (3) - There is no bass drum playing here, so I suggest no jump here and just do jump only on (3). Or a smaller jump (e.g. 1.5x) instead.
00:07:948 (2,3) - I also recommend changing to default soft-sampleset to use the default soft-clap here.
00:08:146 (3,1,2) - Not too fond of this, seems like you want to follow the bass guitar, but it isn't followed properly since the bass guitar sound is at the end of 00:08:146 (3) - So I recommend changing that to a hit circle and then do this rhythm http://puu.sh/2BdBT
00:20:382 (3,4) - No jump on (3) then a big jump on (4) gives a nicer effect e.g. like this http://puu.sh/2BdIx (adjust rotation to how you wish, I simply try rotating by 45 degrees here, but if you prefer a less rough curve, rotate by less degree and vice versa).
00:22:553 (4) - Try stacking on the repeat of 00:21:369 (2) - instead?
00:44:264 (2) - Feel like there should be a jump over stack.
00:44:066 (1) - I like how it feel more when you stack it with begin of 00:43:277 (1) -
00:51:172 (1,2) - Really prefer this to be place further away from 00:50:974 (4) -
00:53:343 (4) - I'm not fond of how the jump feel to this note and it's a pretty big jump, try something like this placement so jump's a bit smaller? http://puu.sh/2Be2i
01:03:803 (2) - Prefer if this was stacked to begin of 01:04:001 (3) -
01:05:777 (3,4) - Don't really see why there's a jump here, prefer if distant snap was kept from previous note, and to next note.
01:22:356 (2) - Reduced spacing intentional? (I prefer higher spacing here)
Where you choose to do the jumps and stacks doesn't always feel right to me. Maybe I'm a bit tired right now so I'm a bit more strict on how the flow is so take the suggestions how you will.
[Insane]
00:06:764 (1) - Finish at end
00:22:751 (1) - Wanted to see a jump here. If you do jump, be sure to move 00:23:145 (2) - to the middle of (1,3) or to the place where Prev: = Next:
00:26:303 (2,3) - Prefer slider first, then hit circle
00:38:014 (2,3) - Prefer if spacing was more equal, I recommend increasing the spacing on (2), try placing it more up and a bit more to the left.
00:51:961 (3) - Finish at begin
01:11:698 (1) - I think it's nicer if you change to hit circles and do a jump pattern here, try something like this http://puu.sh/2BerX
Plays nicely, I don't have much to mention. Notice some minor stuff, but decide not to mention them since they are based of my preference and I don't think it'll improve the beatmap by that much. I'm not too fond of the finish logic here. Since I already mod the finish on the guest diffs several time, check out how the finish was done in the other diff + my suggestions and apply it to this if you wish.
Whistle is barely audible and clap is too loud so I highly recommend doing something about this. No real major problem for me and I try out Collab diff, it looks nice so far.
Have a star, good luck!
