Right now if you double click on an OSZ for a map that is already present in your Songs folder but not directly in the root of it, it gets added anyway, creating a duplicate. (this is the case when using subfolders inside Songs)
It's also possible to manually add map folders into the Songs parent folder and end up with multiple copies of the same map in different sub-folders present in Songs.
This feature request asks for an option to eliminate all duplicates, some button in osu's options panel that you can click to get a list of all maps and amount of duplicates each map has and then an option to click on each one and purge its duplicates.
