Confirmation bias and cultural expectations will colour your view in regards to that. I really don't like the boys are this and girls are that type of humour because it mostly is an aspect of upbringing and expectations, not inherent differences. You can't deny the fact that it's there. I don't agree with stereotypes nor gender roles either but the point that it exists means that those characteristics are evident in the society. Based on what I see in the people around me, school, friends, seniors, other peers, and especially family, they've all shown me that girls complain more about things than guys. Girls have more tendency to have a slippery slope in their thoughts because of thinking too much and further resulting into depression. I'm not saying that this is what they are. I don't disregard the fact that guys get depressed too, but girls being depressed is more evident than the one I mentioned before. Thus, since this is what can be seen in the surface I came up with that response

Also, I have no problem with gender-based jokes, as long as girls don't throw a hissy bitch fit when it's their turn to hear them. Having said that, saying "You're a boy you can't feel depression" is rather inane and unfunny. Either way, I have a nice, shiny pair of steel-toed boots, with the names of the ovaries of every girl who maintains double-standards when it comes to gender jokes.
DEEDIT: By the way, I've spoken to many guys who overthink things and become depressed over this and that. If I were to play the "hahaha I'm just kidding" card, then I'd go as far as saying that girls become depressed over much more superficial things. However, I won't do that. That would be rude.

I honestly envy those who get to eat a shitload of chocolate at once and actually enjoy it and/or aren't sick of it. I get so angry on Valentine's Day when I could be getting chocolates from guys but I can't because I'm allergic. This is painful.
