you should use a watercolor paper when using water colors or when you paint
water on a normal paper makes the paper crease thus making it unpresentable

aside from that, your work is really good
it's so hard to control the paintbrush and the color that's why i don't bother using watercolors/paint

try the canson one
the berkeley paper is the one that's expensive even though it has a lower gsm
and i know they sell it on pads
iunno if you can buy them one paper each

I could start posting some of my work in here after a couple of months once i get my new tablet, Wacom Cintiq 12WX.
Haven't drawn since i left my Art classes/Graphic classes though, guess i can use this as an excuse to get back in to it ; )

Observe other people's bodies. Look at the skeletals. It's not that I'm great at anatomy right now though. I suck at proportioning the sizes of some body parts but I'm able to draw poses without references at least.

can't figure out what's going on with her arms and the shoulders are red for some reason??? but other than that it looks p good. Like the backgrounds a lot

People often like to draw their shoulders like that (as well as knees, and I've noticed a lot of reddening fingers too), it just looks slightly nicer I guess.

Knees make sense to me but that's because my knees are red a lot because I tend to slide on them and the friction burns the flesh away so the skin is just weird there

That is incorrect.

It is actually applied to any bare part of the body that could be considered "hot" so as to accentuate it, with a few exceptions. Shoulder, knees, buttocks, as well as the superior portion of the bust is commonly subject to this rule, assuming it is a) exposed/bare b) big. Though usually you'll only see ecchi doing this shit, refer to Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere (or anything animated by Sunrise, really) or Oniai for that kind of thing, though I recommend the former if you're actually going to watch anything at all. I'd post pics but you probably already know what I'm referring to.

The exceptions would be the cheeks (although I guess that could be kinda moe) and the fingers. Why they redden fingers I do not know. Maybe it helps attract attention to the hand, or all those characters have a really high concentration of iron in their blood.

Well, don't worry about it too much, I guess. It seems to be a common mistake since I've seen it on more than one picture.
