Well.... my intention is to test my map in all Game modes (if all modes are allowed) .... Its hard to go back to the Main menu and go to the Game mode you desired to view and activate 'Auto' or go to Song Setup >> Advanced and Change allowed modes...

You know that if you make change the song to mode specific in editor, you can test the map in that mode. Just experiment with the menu that you took a picture of.
That is what you are asking for right?
those
Not all Taiko maps are directly translated like that.

Any reason why this would be helpful? When mapping osu! you should only be focusing on the osu! gamemode it's self and not the other 3. (Same goes for if you're mapping mania/taiko/ctb)

I disagree. A well-made osu map is fun to play in all game modes. Proper map design can achieve this, but really it's not always possible. Also taiko is good for finding hitsound errors/inconsistencies. And by using the in game mode specific for taiko, it doesn't render sliders the same way as a non mode specific taiko.

It would be nice to be able to test in a particular gamemode without making an official change to the map.

You've obviously never played Taiko seriously.

Ahmmm... what my real intention is to Test the map in other Game modes so that you can find out if it is okay or not....

Example:
I am creating a map (that allows all game modes) but I want it to be more challenging in CTB mode than in osu! standard.... :D :D :D

It takes all of 5 seconds to change it temporarily and save. (AFAIK, the only difference between this and actually testing is taiko slider conversion) Marking this invalid.

That just make necessary changes though. Then you have to change it back as well.
I'm pretty sure those who uses it doesn't change the settings just once while mapping.
I'm not doing it often because it's a pain-in-the-ass to change it all the time.

Not sure why you marked it invalid so early.

If you map standard then you only need to test in standard, its possible.
If you map CtB then you only need to test in CtB, its possible.
If you map taiko then you only need to test in taiko, its possible.
If you map Mania then you only need to test in Mania, its possible.
These all just settings you don't need anything else, trust me.

I can accept the 3 last.
But the first one is universal. (hence the option All instead of osu! Standard)
Kurokami
Yes, it is "all", but all you need to care is standard. Standard maps are always playable in any other mod w/o a glitch (except in rare cases). Almost all mapset contain taiko specific map therefore taiko players are mostly play that. With time CtB maps also become available so CtB players (just as me) will choose that. In the case of mania, oh well, I didn't tried.

tr;dr You only need to care about standard with all mods enabled.

For the sake of discussion, I'll remove the tag for now. I really don't see this going anywhere though, but we'll see.

SUPPORT.

I support this.

A good-ish reason for this to be implemented is so that people can play parts of the song they struggle with on any game mode! 8-)
Not only for those who are mapping. Whats the deal being so bee about how osu is for osu, taiko for taiko etc. If all modes are allowed all modes should be tested.. :/
jemhuntr
support. i'm pretty sure i already saw this thread long ago, i have no idea why i didn't post.
