A while back, one of the devs added 1/12 and 1/16 snap to the editor. peppy obviously didn't approve and put comments on them when he noticed. It's just for fun, don't worry about it!

Then again, if you're using snaps that low to make your beats sound right, it's likely that your map is timed wrong.

It's actually a nice addition to the game. Some really slow songs have really fast parts in them. Instead of doubling the BPM, one can actually map some things correctly. It's actually necessary for some transitions as well.

When we're dealing with complex songs where different sound tracks overlap, it's sometimes necessary to use 1/16th or even 1/12th. The main reason is because some patterns end 1/8th, 1/6th early. So if you have a sequences that is equally spaced out that starts on White, red, or blue tick, and ends on a yellow tick, the note in the middle is 1/16th. Same thing for 1/12th. A slow 1/6th song can have elements that transition into the 1/12th range, because they skip normal ticks in a strange way.

These transitions exist just as much as 3/4th time exists between white ticks. The pattern can be WBR, but it can also be WYB Problems exist when note starts on blue and needs to transition into yellow or transition into Red in certain cases. Similar cases exist for 1/6th. It is usually caused by the song's BPM being low,which quicker/ more complex rhythms occur in the background. The complex rhythms are essentially doubling the actual BPM. 1/6th rhythm doubled = 1/12th and a rhythm that happens to be played 1/12th offset from the main rhythm = 1/12th naturally.
