So I just got my new drawing tablet today. Any tips for osu!? I'm doing all right, but anything else that can help me to get better using this play style?

It's preference, please use some common sense.Antero wrote:

Like this too, it gives you greater control on jumps and you always can feel how far your pen from the tablet surface so you won't fail hovering it too far.Thatgooey wrote:
I gradually stopped completely hovering my pen for whatever reason, and I let it touch half the time for control when I feel I need it. I don't know if anyone else plays this way, but it helps me.

I swear that kills your pen nib. 0_oMakar wrote:
I use small area and never hover (used to hover but got lazy). It's not a must to hover.
Yup, I have to have replacement nibs, or else the side of the nib I let touch becomes kind of flat like a normal pencil would. Makes for slightly uneven movements and can scratch the tablet up if you aren't careful. I'll need to change them every 2-3 months depending on how much I play. It's like $10 for a set of 6, so it lasts the whole year. It's not so bad for me.Blaziken wrote:

That's impractical. What if you move? Or get a new table?Kert wrote:
Glue your tablet to the table so it never changes placement
No, wtfdruidxd wrote:
Full Area and Hovering are a must.
The bigger the area, the more accurate you get (not % accuracy, more like aim), if you have a tiny area, the odds are that any minor movement with the pen will make you miss a note (especially on higher Circle Size maps), so bigger area makes you have less random misses related to hand/wrist movement, if you really want to get pro, and get consistent S's for like, idk, tournaments and whatnot (owc for example) you need to use the biggest area possible, that way it is less likely that you will miss randomly because of physical movements. Probably to get comfortable with full area you will need to play with different grips until you get one that you are comfortable with, I can upload a photo of how I hold my pen and play comfortably with fullscreen + full area, but I'm not pro, so idk if that will help.Pacemaker wrote:

You don't usually miss notes because of physical movement, it happens when you misread. There's pros using Full Area who have a bigger random miss ratio than pros with a small area. Pls stop promoting Full Area like it's the only way to get uber pro, cuz that's complete bs.druidxd wrote:
