Did a search and could not find it, so forgive me if its been posted before.
I am terrible at this with a mouse but i was amazing with osu takesumin sumin cant remember the name. So i would like to know can i use ous! on a tablet PC or tablet android?

If so any one tell what what tablet would be the best, just tell me the best and i sell a kidney to find the money (;^_^A
Aoriki
o-o;; don't go that far to sell a kidney.

I'm using a Tablet (I had this tablet for 3 years now, a Havon)
But I think a Bamboo tablet would be best, if that helps.

Do not confuse Tablet PCs and graphics tablets, guys. The first one is a PC with a touchscreen, while the second one is just an accessory you connect to the PC via USB.

mono-chrome, you just arrived today! Don't be surprised if you suck with a mouse, osu! feels terribly hard the first days for a beginner. Then you get used to it. Really. Give your mouse a try for a month before switching to a tablet, especially if you don't have one right now.

After that, if you really feel you can't play properly with a mouse, first of all DO NOT BUY A TABLET PC. 1) You won't be able to do streams correctly, and 2) it is extremely expensive. Keep your current PC lol
Instead, you might look for a graphics tablet. I strongly suggest you read the topic provided by MoreLunatic (t/71895) to have some pieces of advice.
The most popular one is the Wacom Bamboo Pen, and it is not very expensive (£48 on Amazon UK).

(And btw, it is impossible to use an Android tablet as an input device)

thanks for the reply, but im going to buy a tablet PC anyway as its close to xmas ^_^.

I just wanted to know what the graphical power i need for a tablet to run osu! nicely. I don't want to buy a tablet Android that does not run osu! correctly & ruin my holiday.

Damn taiko sett is irritating, i think there might be lag with my wireless keyboard >_> i wonder if i can use a ps2 tatacon ^o^

Everything that has a separate GPU (i.e. everything except Intel HD series chipsets).
Also, do not buy tablet PCs that have Windows RT (Windows 8 on ARM platform). They won't run osu! at all.

An Android tablet will not run the regular version of osu!, as it is not a Windows Operating System. Fortunately for you, there is an Android version of osu!, so you can still play it, but it will be stripped of most of osu!'s features, such as online ranking, multiplayer, etc

but the core gameplay is all there so if you're one of those people who just plays for fun, you should be all set

a Sony SGPT1111 tablet would be okay then?

that a shame, i though ranking would be updated when you connect tot he net with. Guess if i get good at this i'll buy a touch screen monitor when i get the money.

Wait wait. We are misunderstanding here. Do you plan to play osu! or osu! on Android (aka osu!droid)?

osu! and osu!droid are two different things. Even if they share the same concept, they are completely independant. The first one is for PCs only (computers running Windows, that is), the second one is for Android phones/tablets only. The original game is osu! for PCs. osu!droid is a copy of osu! with less functionalities: it doesn't have multiplayer mode, in-game chat, it has its own rankings, etc. Let me repeat it again: they are independant and different.

A Tablet PC is... a PC (Windows-based) with a touchscreen. That is to say, it can run osu! for PCs, but not osu!droid. A tablet PC is NOT an Android tablet like your Sony. Your Sony tablet, because it is not Windows-based, won't run osu!, but will run osu!droid. The detail is very important here. Do you want to play osu! or osu!droid?

If it is osu!, do NOT buy this tablet and use your regular computer. Add in a touchscreen monitor if you want (but frankly, I wouldn't recommand it).
If it is osu!droid, yes you can buy it. But you won't be able to play the regular osu!, huh.

okay, i will forget the andriod and buy a touch screen monitor instead. i'm looking at Dell ST2220T, that should be fine right.

I apologies for my stupid question :|
XPJ38
Yes it should be fine.

@OP: If it helps at all, I'll share my play style a bit and perhaps you can get some ideas from it that would work for you.

I use a touchscreen laptop (Bday-present before going to college :D). Anyways, this laptop functions as a normal laptop for the most part, but it also takes two types of touch inputs, finger and pen (the monitor part also can swivel around and down onto the keyboard to look like a tablet, but I don't like playing osu like that really :P). Now I don't play osu like most touchscreen users (the few that exist), I play touchscreen+kb by using the pen input for my cursor movement and the keyboard to tap the circles. I have a diagram below of my setup.

Feel free to pm me or talk to me in the ingame chat for more information :)

Got the Dell ST2220T, for some reason osu is not registering any taps i do for clicks with my finder It just moves the cursor. Osu can follow me when i drag my finger.

Does any1 else know what to do or am i F'ed.

Same for me, except I use a Viewpad 10pro, windows7 and android dual boot.
