Since there aren't many high level osu!mania players out there.. this was an awesome experience! (this room went on for over 3 hours, and after i left as well)
More people should be playing osu!mania D:, the community is so quiet which really sucks..

We need to promote mania mode some more! It's something EVERYONE should at least try out~

Just a huge thanks for the devs who put the effort into making the mania mode :D

Osumania takes too much brainpower and practice to see any progress at all, much like piano. People are too reluctant to use their brains anymore, and they always want instant gratification.

Standard osu is a mindless game, which is why so many more people play it compared to mania.

Either that or there are more osu! players on the osu! site than IIDX/Pop'n players. Maybe you haven't ever been to a game center before? Because there is a larger IIDX community than osu! community. LR2 has been around for much longer than mania has, where much of the community is ingrained, not to mention official ps2 releases and of course the arcade machines.

And yeah, I feel that IIDX has a higher learning curve since there is a bit more muscle memory to be built, but calling osu! "mindless" for people "reluctant to use their brains" is needlessly insulting and clearly ignorant of upper level play.

i no rite.

But lettuce be reality, a "sfjldjkf lfds kjdfljkd fsl sfkjdflkj" combo (not to mention the infinite variations) is much more difficult than "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzx" (plus some elementary cursor movement, considering none of the jumpy maps are even played because they're too hard for most people).

Clearly you have FC'd FREEDOM DiVE to be saying this.

You can make anything that is supposed to be modestly easy-difficult into something nearing impossible by pushing the demand of human physical limits.

e.g. make a standard osu beatmap the hardest ever released by clusterfucking everything and requiring 900 apm. (e.g. freedom dive)
e.g. make an osumania beatmap the hardest every by clusterfucking everything and requiring 900 apm. (e.g. not applicable at this moment, but I'm sure there are examples from beatmania or o2jam)

logic pls.

you are so silly.
freedom dive isn't a clusterfuck, it's clearly mapped. it's a 222 BPM 1/4 spam, but nothing clusterfucked.

shotgun symphony is a much better example for clusterfucking, but knowing such maps would require to actually deal with osu.

also, freedom dive requires 888 APM at most, while some of the professional beatmania/stepmania/whatever maps require more than twice the amount, due to 1/8 streams.I say that 888 APM arent't even that hard for an experienced osu-mania player.

but yeah, enough feeding of the troll.

But in osu!, you must do those 888 APM only with 2 fingers, whereas in beatmania you can use almost every finger.

But yeah let's not ruin the thread.

Back on topic, I wish that lots of pro osu!mania players rise among our community, and it becomes more competitive and played than CtB, same as taiko.

you can't really compare these two mods.. they're totally different games -.-
the only thing they have in common is recognizing beats and hand-eye coordination D:

and of course... ENJOYING THE SONG \o/
