Also maybe you could add some requirement like in CTB's thread in order to be mod specialist. It will be better imo than saying "Add me I'm pro look at me I want to have my name with bold rainbow colors blblbl !"

It starts from an estimation based from the latest scores they've gotten, then it will be confirmed with some screenshots provided by the players themselves.

Kinomi you didn't even need to put that #1, you were the first to FC Saten's SELAMAT PAGI with HD so yeah
You're maybe one of the best HD players out there, so even without that you would get that HD specialist.

I still don't think deleting previous thread totally was a good idea. Whatever, that was admin guy's decision. Thought somebody will revive this thread though.

Well, there were pretty lots of simple spamming in that thread... (No simple spamming in aquabluu's thread, though out of topic is quite frequent.)

As long as it doesn't end up as pure spamming, I'm okay with these. I should contact Loctav (or if he sees that post) about moderating that thread in case of huge derailment.

Add me as HD specialist, not a DT specialist yet, my limit for consistent scores is 160 bpm+DT ;w;

I've used DT on a lot of maps but the BPM is always less than 180 so i wouldn't call that a specialist :P

I'm curious how important the ability to recover from a Miss is, in higher level of play. Right now, a lot of songs I pass can often be primarily due to forcing myself back into a stream as fast as possible, but is getting good at recovering like that something worthwhile? Is it a skill that I would stop using in higher levels of play?

I WISH I had better recovery. Mostly unsubbed maps like Firce's Shinenkai or Haya Shinsenkai are where you'd want good recovery. But there's no such thing as a skill you don't want.

Huehuehue, my recovery skills suck and because of that I can't get many high scores on maps with long streams.

Being able to quickly recover from a miss is definitely an important skill to have!

Well I guess since recovery can also apply to getting back on time from doing 100s, it would definitely be important then. I didn't think of that at first.

Instead of deleting it, i guess it's better to improve the colour assignment by putting some SERIOUS challenges....as it was into CTB thread.
Just reset the colours, decide on how should the challenges be (maybe with the help of some other good players), post them and wait for people to accomplish them :3

Hmm, surely i'm not the best one to name songs....but I guess that the challenges should be structured on (obviously) the usage of a Mod + a certain quantity of accuracy acquired like:

  • - FC "xxxxx" with acc > 98% with HR

    or

    - SS 3 Taiko only maps with HD
These are just random examples :D

Noobita, don't be so butthurt. This thread hasn't gone to shit yet.. you never know.

Sounds great idea. Here's a couple for ya.

HR challenges:
Full combo Silver Forest - Souon!! with 99.73% or better.
Notes/Tips-
~The map is 180bpm
~Has very low OD, only at 3.
~A lot of repeat patterns. Memorize similar sections to make the whole map simpler.

Full combo Ryu* Vs. Sota - Go Beyond!! Alace's Taiko with 99% or better OR S Full Combo Shalon's Taiko.
Notes/Tips-
~200bpm
~Average OD 5
~Alace's Taiko's Kiai Time is simple, but is the most complicated piece. Practice off HR before going to HR.
~Shalon's Taiko is complex with many dddkd-type patterns and some random kat placement in the long streams.



I'll post more as I think of them. I'll need your help as players to determine how challenging these are for normal players, so let me know what you think.

I'll give both of the second one a try, especially since I'm trying to break into the 200bpm zone right now for FCing and HR. Plus, it would give me a good excuse to get off my ass and stop being lazy about finally trying to SS something.
