SuddenDeath is a great mod I use when I know I can full-combo a song and I don't even want to bother continuing if I miss. The Perfect Mod is also great for SS's but there's one thing in the Perfect Mod that isn't in the SuddenDeath.
The fact that Perfect will automatically restart the song instantly without any questions asked. My suggestion is to add an option in the osu! options that allows you to use "SuddenDeath+" which will add the automatic restarting (I say make it toggle-able as some people want to see the replay of where they failed).
It doesn't need a special icon or any changes in the display on the online scoreboard. It is merely for convenience for people who want the automatic restarting
