1. Ensure your map is pending with three difficulties or more and has received at least a few mod posts from regular users.

That's all! I'll tackle these posts in chronological order and lock the thread after receiving about 5 requests.

Note to people that have sent me forum or in-game PMs about modding their maps: I will try to get to your maps before this queue, but if I forget, just give me a nudge in-game after a week.

한국어 룰 / Rules in Korean
1. 일반 모더들에게 적어도 몇 개의 모딩을 받았던 , 3개 혹은 그 이상의 난이도를 가진 펜딩맵 (WIP가 아닌 완성되어 모딩을 받을 준비가 된 맵) 만 올려주십시오.

포스팅된 시간 순서에 따라 모딩을 할 것이며, 5개의 모딩요청을 받은 후에는 이 스레드를 잠글 것입니다.

Rule Breakers
No one, thankfully.

Eh. If a mapper posts in a queue when they can't even read them, then they should go straight on the shit list. Why participate in something if a huge language barrier will get in the way?

This is the most shit post I've ever seen in my osu! life. Fuck you.

For the purposes of this thread, I agree with D33d. Not knowing English is not a free pass to just skip over the rules. And hey, if they can understand English well enough to read my mod posts, I'm sure they can read rules. I'm sorry, but I don't see a more sensible way for me with to deal with various language barriers than to expect people to have basic English skills.
haha5957
I know, the queue owner has right to ignore who broke the rule. and you can add them straight to the blacklist. I never asked you to "hey~~ please care about ppl who cant speak English too >~<" thingy.

however what I've mentioned is this.

Sorry for participating on mapping while my English really sucks. At least I tried even huge language barrier is in my way.
It seems like i shouldn't have tried it at all. I will fuck off.
Imagine being asian (which is, more then 50% in osu!) and read that quoted sentence again. If it still doesnt bother you, ok then. It's all my fault.

I don't think I have to bring every mapper felt offended by that sentence to here, because I already know tons of them.

I don't think D33d meant to slag off people who have trouble with English here, but rather those who don't care to learn. Having a queue before was exhausting for me because of the large number of people just disregarding the rules and posting, many of who were not native speakers (whether or not that is relevant). I'm happy if people studying the language can participate in the community even if they aren't fluent, I just wish they would be more careful with things that may inconvenience another. I'm not pointing fingers as that is a very broad message, but it's just what I've experienced.

still can't even understand why haha blamed him so much. it's bit reasonable (assuming that he just said it for the careless people who can at least understand some english on queues , not for the people who really can't speak or understand english at all.. if not, he totally sucks)

oh and my suggestion is, if some people can't read english 'at all' (though people who don't follow rules are mostly just not see rules on queue, but still :3 ) , how about add some translated non-english rules? (some major languages in here would be better) i can help you if you want :P
haha5957
I understand you and agree on your opinion.I kinda have no idea why I am arguing with you because i have no problem with you.

but,,
Saying "Hey i didnt mean it :3" after punching someone in the face makes no sense. Just saying, sorry for ruining your queue but had to mention. Please remember that it's not only me who got insulted by that.
Xierra
Though I may have fluent english understanding, I don't really know what "5 previous unmodded maps" mean. It isn't really clear to me.
So just to make sure, is it the amount of maps posted in the queue that you haven't modded?

Well, I agree with Reisen's suggestion. Chinese, Japanese, Korean anyone?
And yeah, D33d is right. The more the merrier, right? More language means easier understanding. He does have a good point. 8-)
Aurele
If I can understand, why translating rules if the mapper can't understand the modder's suggestion?

I'd appreciate it if it's not too much trouble, but don't feel obligated to make it a big project.

I'm not his spokesperson, but I was just saying that you probably took it the wrong way.

Clarified and simplified that rule a bit. Actually, forget that rule, I'll just lock the thread when it reaches the limit.

most of mods are composed of words & phrases which is usually used in mod post. (except some long suggestions, etc) so people who can't speak or understand english fluently just get used to those kinds of words & phrases maybe?

EDIT :

okay then, would i make a korean rules? agree that above post about '5 unmodded maps' , first i didn't understand what it means too, so it may confuse people unless it's only for me.
L_P
Jarby is a MAT, lets see, when you see his queue is opened, you need to grab the opportunity as fast as you can.
so, translating the rules make more people whose english is not good can have the same chance

when looking at the mod, come on, you can find someone to translate for you.

Translating the rule into some popular language is very much appreciated.

I'd appreciate it if you translated just these sentences now that I've simplified it:

"1. Ensure your map is pending with three difficulties or more and has received at least a few mod posts from regular users.

That's all! I'll tackle these posts in chronological order and lock the thread after receiving about 5 requests."

And then I'll put it in a spoilerbox titled "Rules in Korean". Or a translation of that phrase actually.
haha5957
If he meant about careless people who really "doesn't" read the rule(differs from can't), he didnt need the later sentence. He's English, he knows what he's saying.
I have no idea how language barrier is related to careless. Blaming careless people(which I also agree) getting related to language problem?

This is ridiculous, because jarby is right but d33d isn't.

It's simple. saying ppl with language problem shouldn't paritipate makes no sense for any good reason. he apologizes about it, and it's all done. Jarby didn't do amything wrong and I never said anything about him.

Anyone here agrees that ppl with language problem shouldn't participate? I guess no. then d33d did something wrong, that's my point.

just copy and paste this

Let's just drop it for now, haha5957. If you want to talk to D33d about it personally, by all means do so privately. I haven't handled all my mod requests yet, so I'm going to lock the thread and reopen it when I'm ready to receive more posts.

By the way, thank you for your translation, Reisen Udongein. If anyone else would like to add their own translation in, please send me a PM.
haha5957
