why not name it with something laurier or laurier something
at the front part i think it is too loud...15 % is better ?
00:07:979 (1) - move further from 00:07:744 (4) - this so it makes a bigger jump ( i think it is not very well arranged for current state...)
00:15:244 (6) - delete whistle, i think it sounds better
00:43:838 (2,3,4,1,2,3,1,2,3) -i think this is a great thing in your map, if you try to make something more based on this, this might be turn into a GREAT mapset...!

Maximum size of comboburst.png is 500x767, so you must cut current image.
Combo Color 1 is too close to BG's color from what i see.
Reversearrow is not clear enough imo.

[SB]
  1. White.png don't need to be 640x480 since it is pure color and vector image.
  2. black.png is needless since you can use C code to change White.png's color:
    _C,0,StartTime,EndTime,R,G,B
    R=0, G=0, B=0 -> black
[Easy]
00:29:189 (1) - the spinner is too short for an Easy diff. Change to slider?
00:30:479 - ^ so you can add note here to catch the downbeat (also the flash in SB)

Lol, read the rules b4 u post things like this.

It's right, mapsets now must have at least 2 Taikodiffs if there should be a Taiko included, however, it only needs to have 2 Taikodiffs if there is no "Easy" difficulty included.

Okay, after I saw that totally fail comment, I decided to take a look over the Taiko as I don't expect great after such a comment, sorry. q__q

Uh..as expected, there are still issues. I'm not satisfied with some settings and patterns used in this Taiko.

General



you need to add the following files when using a customized spinner:
spinner-clear.png
spinner-spin.png
spinner-osu.png
you can take them from the templateskin if you want, just make sure to add them.
as mentioned in the above mod, comboburst must be 500x767
why do you mention your own name in the taiko-bg if it's not a guestdifficulty?
uncheck "display epilepsy warning" on taiko, since there is no storyboard.
reduce difficultysettings. 7/6 is just unusual. use either 5/5 or 6/6, preferrably 5/5.
do not play so much with the vol. notes are not aduible at the beginning of the beatmap. Use overall vol. of 80~85 and keep it.

I dislike the speedup at kiai, suggest to remove, but keep it if you like. <__<
Why 2000ms leadin? the song starts about 500ms off the .mp3 and it's a slow song. suggest to lower to 1500.

00:14:541 (1) - this drumroll is unfitting as it represents a 1/4 stream, however, there is no real 1/4 music going on. replace by the following pattern:

00:37:510 (1,2,1) - this would sound better if you change it to kdk
00:40:088 (1,2,1,2,1) - either you messed something up or..idk. that big don must be removed as it is not allowed to add big notes in a stream of 1/4 or above. so just kkddk
01:14:307 (1,2,1) - this is allowed but it just sucks..pretty hard. better make that big kat small, so you get ddk here, or - alternatively - change to kdk
01:24:150 (3,4,1,1) - after those kat's on 1/2 in the stream b4, I expected something like a climax moment. If you like you can change these to kkk k or kdk k to get something like that.
01:26:729 (2,3,4) - this part just sounds sooo empty with the three dons. make (4) kat and if you like (2) aswell.
01:47:353 (5) - again, this is not allowed. Try out the following pattern for a nice finish.

Hmm, I'm not sure about that, I will ask MAT/BAT (probably MMzz xD) anyways for further mapsets that I'll check. Submittet b4 29th still is right so thanks for pointing that out. I actually searched for that forumpost but didn't find it again q__q

  1. 00:05:635 (2) - Make this a 1/2 slider that repeats once and then a circle 1/1 beat after? It fits better with the song. Also, rearrange 00:04:229 (1) if you want to do this and things get overlapped here.

  3. 00:14:541 (3) - Why is the slider shaped like this? Can't you just make this a straight one? (Actually, I can complain just about every slider that's not a straight or arc/curved one, but this one's the most jarring to me.)
  4. 00:30:479 - 00:43:604 - Actually, I would recommend to remove all the notes here and make a break, since it feels weird to map this part, and Easy players might need a break, although this is not a must. Feel free to keep this, though.
  5. 01:01:416 (2,3) - I dislike this slight overlap actually... Maybe move (3)'s last anchor point to (440,216)? If you do this, also move 01:04:229 (4) to (456,304).

  2. 00:54:854 (5) - NC? This slider is on a new stanza, and I don't think a 10-objects combo would work here.
Generally fine, although this map might need some more improvement here and there.

00:43:604 - corresponding to the higher pitch end with k here? and then start spinner 1/2 after the note

I don't find much problems with the taiko diffs since you're following the drums straightly, so good job here.

Your spacings really shouldn't differ more than 0.04 IMO compared to a similar transition. 0.02 change in any part where the spacing is assumed to be 1.1 is okay IMO. This doesn't mean it has to be exactly 1.1 or wouldn't be better with the equal snap, it just doesn't matter if it's slightly different. Certain transitional changes can allow for certain spacing changes.

00:00:479 (1,2,3) - Use 1.1 exactly.You will be able to center 3 if you do.
00:14:541 (3,1,2) - Greater than 0.04.
00:20:635 (3,4,1) - Exactly 0.04 change. Bring within 0.02 margin of error please.
00:25:791 (4,1,2) - Use exactly the same spacing here.
00:54:854 (1) - I expected a whistle here

00:15:947 (2,3) - I'm not sure I like this pattern. A song like this shouldn't have any bad looking transitions IMO.
00:20:166 (2,3) - Unsure if it's just me, but it just seems that the stacks position doesn't do the pattern any justice. It not in a very good area compared to that slider and the stack and the gap after just play against the flowing nature of the song. Why skip beats for no reason, especially just to stop the beat with a stack? This is something I would expect from a song. http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/403893. Moving up is more expected than going down after that slider and looks better too. You should fill the gap after, because 00:22:510 - is a hitsound note and should have a clap. It's no different than 00:17:822 (4,5,6) -. That should be enough reasons to convince you to do this.
00:35:166 (2,3) - Spacing?
00:40:791 (5,1) - 0.76 snap is too slow IMO. Also I think a slider to fill the gap would be better. I suggest you do so and then make a pattern by unstacking these 00:42:666 (7,8) -
00:45:479 (1) - Finish to start? This area feels quiet in general. I hear that custom hitsound but it doesn't stand out as much from the song. Perhaps a whistle here and there to break up the monotony would be best.
00:58:604 (6) - Nice slider. 01:00:479 (1) - weird slider. Why are they so different? Also beyond this I don't like the clap hitsound as compared to whistle. You have claps where I would like whistles.

01:10:557 (1) - Sounds like it should be part of previous combo. You can start a new combo on the next note instead.

01:17:354 (1,2) - I really don't like how 1/4th claps sound together. Try whistle clap for each of these. You could fit whistles in other parts to complement the rhythm like here 01:18:291 (4) - (end). I'll leave it to you to figure what you want to change and how.
01:26:025 (5,6,7) - stacking away from the snap. You should manually space so that the stack spacing doesn't affect how the pattern looks.
01:26:729 (1,2,3,4) - A more rounded pattern would be better IMO.
01:36:104 (1) - Make a better curve?

I wouldn't say this is a true Insane. But really I like it because it's not a true Insane. Although it could be more difficult in areas, overall it is enjoyable. You shouldn't make very many large changes IMO. If people claim it isn't Hard enough, someone could easily make a much harder difficulty from scratch.

00:10:322 (3,4) - Use 1.2 snap. It's better IMO.
00:15:010 (5) - Lower this slightly. It seems to stick out in the pattern a little too much. FC this part and look at the hitbursts to see what I mean.
00:19:229 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - Stacks are doing weird things to the spacing. I think it would be better if you move 00:19:932 (5,6,7) - to x 72 y 188.
00:26:729 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1,2,3,4) - Really nice pattern and rhythm.
00:50:166 (5,6,7) - Stack better.
00:56:729 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5) - Jump is in the wrong place. 00:57:197 (4,5) - is a jump transition. 00:58:135 (4,5) - should be similarly spaced. You should have the jumps in these spots instead.
00:58:604 (6) - New combo.
01:07:275 (2,3,4) - Make spacing equal. Turn off grid snap for this.
01:13:604 (3) - You change pattern, so it might be better if you have a new combo.
01:15:479 (1,2,3) - This is so much easier to play if you filled in those red ticks with notes. I highly recommend you fill them.
01:33:057 (4,5,6,7) - I would much rather have 4 be longer, and have it be followed by a separate triple. The current pattern just plays awkward and off beat.

  1. I see you're using a clap on a custom slidertick. You're using a raw hitclap right from the template skin right?
    In osu! hitsounds, a xxx-hitclap, xxx-hitwhistle, and xxx-hitfinish are always combined with xxx-hitnormal. Without hitnormal, those claps, whistles and finishes sounds awkward and rather harsh. And... you're using just a raw hitclap. My opinion is, you should combine the clap with the hitnormal manually from a sound editor (e.g. Audacity) so it fits with the hitsounds and doesn't sounds harsh. ~This is just an opinion, you're free to apply or not to apply this
  2. BG 800x600 looks blurry here >< why don't you get a bigger resolution for this? 1024x768 maybe?

As Niva said, you need more Taiko Mods, then I just mod the Taiko diff only. (Actually standard diffs are good enough)

  1. 1.Making a 1/4 beats at the begining of the song, that's better for player to catch the rhythm.
  2. 2.Making a triple beats at the begining of the red line, and 5 beats from the white line are usually nice tempo.
