The spawn is one of the ugliest I've ever seen and that goes for the rest too.
Where do I sign myself up as an architect?

A map for this server would be much appreciated, the server ip could work as one (mc.ppy.sh).

Edit: This server isn't quiet what I expected it to be. I don't agree with any of these rules.

i am terribly sorry that a community server that you have never bothered to assist with previously does not meet your excruciatingly high standards, theowest! if i had known that you were going to pass unwavering judgement on the creative works of others, i would have scripted in a giant wooden gavel for you condemn the heathen creators with.

by all means, propose a new design for spawn based on the current landscape - and remember, you can only use materials you have gathered!

oh, and i've coded a small plugin that prevents breeding when more than 100 farm animals reside on the same chunk after some numbnuts in utopia decided to breed 1.4k cows and 200 chickens in a single tile, completely grinding the server to a halt whenever anyone loaded the chunk.

Well sorryyyyy for trying to avoid starvation by breading an insane number of cows :( (the chickens on 1 tile weren't my idea though)

Make your own town and disable pvp within it, problem solved. peppy wanted this server to be tough, and so it is, be careful in the wilderness!

They're expanding their protected area.


They are teleporting between the areas. When I log in, they're just teleporting towards me.

edit: looks like they changed it a bit.


btw, he's got a quiet a powerful weapon. fire aspect + knockback. Markie killed me in one blow.

He teleported there as soon as I logged in. Multiple times.
Isn't that what spawn camping is all about?

I never started a war with you. I was just going some fifty meters away from my settlement and there you kill me. You go in again and try to kill the other guy and then you just teleport back with my stuff.

The next day buttersea comes back with supposedly the same sword or just another powerful sword (both enchanted). He gets into my settlement and tries to get me before I log out. I was defenceless at all times. He then makes two small outpost right below my settlement! There he waits for me and teleports back and forth between his capital. As soon as I logged in he's ready to teleport back in there and try to kill me again. I'm not even sure how long this continues.

Markie killed me unexpectedly, I was completely defenceless. Why did he attack me? What's the point? Seriously. I didn't even have much goodies on me anyway.
Is this what you call fun? At least I can continue to insult you, now that makes a pleasant experience for both me and you.

I find it pretty funny, I killed you once to see what items you had then every time we login to farm/trade you logout instantly and stare at the worldmap. Must be pretty fun. ;)

He did not have a cause. He was RIGHT outside my settlement, he even came to my settlement to kill my friend. I think he did kill me twice. I remember getting attacked one second time.
I didn't carry anything valuable.

I was a new player. It was my first day playing here and he killed me anyway.
I have a neutral town. There's no point for you and your "wife" to attack me.

I think he deserves a spank.

Are nicknames taken from osu case-sensitive? My name is still shown as "jinxyjem" and I can't use /nick, and I rather have odd capitalization than no capitalization at all.

the mods i know that are in are essentials, towny, and the economy i think, as for commands just use /help, towny stuff /towny ? and then you can get a list with more commands and info on how to learn about them.

Or alternatively you could look up on google stuff about these commands.

Actually better yet, I don't need to hear from you considering not a single rule was broken. It's a PvP enabled server, if someone kills you one time it doesn't give you the right to harass the user repeatedly (i.e calling of us names every time we login/teleport to our outposts whilst not disturbing you).

Second, buttersea tried to kill me, and since you're both from the same nation, town, clan, married together, then I guess you broke rule 3 too.
I was just starting out on the server, ran not too far away from my settlement which I had just started working on where you killed me.

Hello, I got this little problem here with the "mineshafter" program. What happens is that i can't login there with my new minecraft.net account, since it gives me a login error with the account itself. I tried to execute mineshafter with MS-DOS (through the command java-jar) since java doesn't allow me to execute the files clicking them twice, like everybody do. (i already tried reinstalling java).

The netherwart selling sign isn't working. I think it's looking the the block version of warts instead of the item version.

I had a similar experience, only apparently a zombie came out of nowhere and killed me (I was in enchanted Iron Armour, and never got any "hit" sounds or loss of health or anything).

The funny thing is, I was just mining away when "You Died" appeared, and when I went to reclaim all my gear, my stuff was gone :<

your conduct in this thread alone is ample cause enough for markie to kill you several times, imo

Lots of lag today :( Have to keep re-digging the same blocks over and over (and isn't just me). Someone making lots of animals again? (Not my fault this time lol).

Also sugarcane randomly stopped growing for an entire day, wonder if that is related to server in any way.

I have forty or fifty chicken in about a 10x5 area. For some reason they tend to explore one edge of the enclosure, though, so maybe it's something they're after.

Killed half of them, just to be safe, but still, no difference. I might give this place a miss until this lag is resolved :x

If you wandered off far enough, the chunk would have been unloaded. Only loaded chunks are productive, I.E. plant growth, like sugar canes. If you want them to grow reliably, stay within 64 blocks of them. If that doesn't work, then it's a server-side issue. =/

Then I updated to 1.2.5 version. It said"can't resolve hostname"
I downloaded 1.3.2 version just now. And it said "Communication error"

Is something putting a massive load on the server? There's good increase of lag time being frequent and it seems to be lagging longer than usual now. Instead of 5 second pauses, i've been seeing lag lock as long as 10 seconds at times and the frequency of lag spikes around 10 ~ 14 seconds per spike. Even using a Java script to boost available RAM didn't do much.

What kind of lag spikes are you seeing? If you believe they are server-side, confirm with other people playing that they too felt it before reporting it.

A lot of people felt it, but it seems to have subsided for now.

By the way, do redstone clocks tax the server? i was walking past BALLZ a few days ago and the doors were going insane, probably due to a really fast clock under it.

i say tentatively now that lag issues should be gone forever. turns out towny is a terribly written plugin and has to be tweaked to oblivion before it functions properly on high population servers!

There's something wrong with the trading signs, they take sign nearest to your head instead of what you've clicked on, so any sign on foot level can't be accessed.

Towny will lag if you use flatfile on a populated server.

It also depends on how you set up your other plugins and what plugins you actually are using.

I found out it depends on what you're carrying in hand. Holding Steak seems to work very well.

Our latest build is 2.9.4.2 which is specifically for 1.3.2.

This is most likely the reason why.

Also yes it's a prebuild but prebuild just means it's for a beta version of Bukkit.

My god thunderstorms are ridiculous, is there a plugin to reduce their duration/rate of strikes? Sometimes it's so bad the thunder just goes on and on without stopping, like 2 strikes per second

server is running on cb++ built to latest recommended

on top of the lag issues, i think that an auto-restart every 6 hours is probably essential at this point. i've fixed the netherwart economy sign as well.

the server now automatically restarts every 6 hours, sending warning messages 10, 5 and 1 minute/s before the restart actually happens. this should keep things nice and stable!

I assume "neutral" is wilderness?. The chests you put down are instantly locked to you, but anybody can still mine in your mine, if they can find it.

Yeah some just made me pissed like Economy O_o But mc jobs would be usefull for this one.... It just sucks gathering money only with selling stuff. And i have to walk over there all the time.... With mc jobs you could gather less money but stil something without selling :/

There is no latest recommended build of 1.3.2, only 1.3.1.
Officially anyways.

Either way, 2.9.3 is outdated and specifically for 1.3.1, like I said, 2.9.4.2 is for 1.3.2.

If anyone is interested in making their own trading post and don't want to spend a ton of money on it, click *here* for the wiki. If you're too lazy to figure it out with the wiki, click *here* for the video tutorial.

It might take a while to set up a proper trading post, regardless of location, because it takes some getting used to. I made a trading post at my place (Oasis), but really it's just a wall with signs and looks more like a notice board or something.

Just don't scoop the snowman up though, or PLOP. Also I found a nice spot and went into a cave, only to get killed by a creeper who stood right freaking behind the block I mined....

That was me, when I was collecing snow and the tiny edge in valhalla was the only place that could be used. You can kill it if you want, I made another snow farm somewhere else.

I accidently killed it due removing the block above while it rained. :(
But I re-set one there. It's actually funny, so I don't care that much. :D
