00:36:198 (1) - http://puu.sh/PVGm beginning is major boredome. Spice it up a little bit and don't mind overmapping goreshit. In this section, the pickups to beat 3 are the perfect spot to put a triple. Don't overdo the consecutive sliders here. I felt like I was just alternating z and x every other beat, which is definitely not fun.

oh I don't have the patience for modding anymore. I want more circles and less sliders. This map calls for like 900/100. And zero 1/8 repeating sliders. You can replace them with a slider whistle and it plays the same without the increase in difficulty.

-5 to -10ms offset, playing at -10 brought my acc up from 25x100 to 5x100
edit; just SS'd to 900 combo with -10, i would definitely look at offset
had kyou-kun test and he confirms offset is late
and rEdo tried, also agrees -10 is perfect and -5 is too late

  1. Unsnapped inherited (green) timing point(s) at: 00:20:444 - 00:21:681
  2. Drain feels pretty high, especially at the beginning, consider HP-1. It goes down to 1/3 with Hardrock.
  3. The build up from 1.10.00 to 1.17.00 is perfect. I love it
  4. 01:35:618 (9,10) - I know this may sound stupid to you, but when playing this pattern for the first time, they feel really hidden and hard to recognize the pattern itself. Maybe increase the spacing just by a little bit? Then on the next similar patterns, do as you wish.
  5. 02:05:695 (1) - i don't like how it starts on a blue tick instead of a white one. 02:15:514 (1) - Look here
  6. 02:25:489 (1) - The same deal. Decide yourself. Or white tick or blue tick (I suggest white).
  7. 02:41:494 (1) - WHERE IS THE 1/8
  8. 02:55:102 (1) - You totally forgot about the kiai. Add it here.

    i follow ONLY bass in 3/4 parts to emphasize it, this plays very funny

    i've added a custom hitsound - to avoid using green lines. i use mixed soft whistles with normal hits and normal claps - but without green lines, that's better imo

oh wow you're getting mods left and right. i'll try my best to help out. mod requested in-game.

Red: You should fix it, but it's up to you.
Italic: Suggestion. Feel free to ignore this if you don't like it.
Blue: Comment. I'll give you my opinion, advice, or if i'm curious about something.

[General]
MM--why is his name in the tags? is he doing a taiko diff for this mapset?
consider adding "semantic compositions on death and its meaning" since that's the name of the album this song is from.

[Over the Flood]
00:18:924 (4) - everytime i play this song, that finish at the repeat bothers me during gameplay. move it to the end from the repeat slider instead to emphasize the piano for this.
00:23:872 (4) - ^
00:25:109 (5) - i feel that this repeat slider might throw off players because it's at the same spot as the previous slider. i suggest doing Ctrl+H and stacking this note on (4) so that it'd be easier to react to for other players IMO.
00:28:820 (4) - same as 00:10:924.
00:33:924 (5) - same as above, but this time, at the beginning.
00:35:161 (7) - same as 00:25:109, instead move it to the right like this. again players would react to this easily than the current pattern IMO.
00:51:398 (1) - perhaps you can move this down a bit for consistency with the other stacks in the song?
00:55:302 - hmm consider adding a mini break here. you did something similar in the nature of dying so how about doing it here?
03:29:748 (1) - this note can be stacked perfectly on (1), either that or stack this manually. it'll look like that the pattern is going around in a circle (not literally) during gameplay.
03:47:764 (4) - either align this to (3) to make a parallelogram like this, or you can move this between (1,3) and move this down a bit so that it'd make a mini triangle like this. i highly suggest that you use the 2nd suggestions since the transition to the next note is easier during gameplay.

wow i'm impressed. i like the flow, i like the transition, the hitsounds match the snare drum, but that the only problem in this diff. IMO that clap doesn't seem to fit with the snare drums...there's supposed to be a custom hitsound that sounds like a snare drum. i just don't know where it is. oh well it's your decision if you want to find that hitsound or stack with the default clap. anyways i guess that's it. Star and GL :D

wow i'm impressed. i like the flow, i like the transition, the hitsounds match the snare drum, but that the only problem in this diff. IMO that clap doesn't seem to fit with the snare drums...there's supposed to be a custom hitsound that sounds like a snare drum. i just don't know where it is. oh well it's your decision if you want to find that hitsound or stack with the default clap. anyways i guess that's it. Star and GL :D

This map didn't have a very obvious repeating pattern like the nature of dying did, so there aren't any consistency issues I can point out. I would rank the Over the Flood diff right now if I could. However, just one thing that bothers me.

[Hard]
  1. From the start of the Kiai until 03:14:284 (5) - , you're effectively just moving around the map in the clockwise motion a whole nine times. Rhythm is great, but I think you can move stuff around to use up the playing area more wisely.
I really can't see an Easy/Normal coming from this; I really cannot see why it cannot be approved but it's something the MAT/BAT will talk about. Oh, and Taiko's great. +Fav.

Thanks for the check those. I really do not feel like remapping that whole part in Hard since it still plays fine and since I hate that diff.
And Normal is going to come out pretty nice, check it's first minute of mapping if you want.

Hey grumd I have a little, very little improvement for the storyboard~

Your current red glow sprite tooks SB Load 2.00x (which is still ok and does not exceed limit) but combined with kiai effects (lightings on circles sliders etc) it lagged the gameplay for me (I don't know about others) so, I tried some ways to reduce the sb load includes:
resizing the image (approx. 4 times smaller) and add some little scripting touch on it (with some improvements from me ;)).

Very big thanks to you! Added your code, but kept my big picture. The point is that SB Load doesn't depend on picture size, it depends on how much of the screen that picture claims. So I have just cut half of my big picture (cut the transparent part) and got 1.56x SB Load, almost like you got. Also adjusted some values at _M events to fit my resized image. And thanks again for this code, that few new effects are really nice :3

The diff spread between Normal and Hard is kind of doomed. I suggest making a New Hard and rename your Present Hard to Insane.

I don't feel like making one more difficulty here, I have already done total 14 minutes of mapping.
Diff spread is also fine, it is a bit hard to make easier diffs enjoyable and playable on a breakcore song like this.
I will play with difficulty settings though, to make the spread jumps more slight.

01:17:068 (183,184,185,186,187) - I really don't feel this pattern with the song. Try ddkkd or kdkkd? (IMO kdkkd sounds better).

Ending Muzu at earlier point is intended and was requested by me. All easier diffs, standard too, are shorter because playing 4 minutes can be too hard/exhausting etc. Only the hardest diffs are mapped over full lenght of the song.

I guess adding a note (d) here will turn it more intuitive and the background sound here is similar to 01:06:475 (85) so it will sound fine anyways. I want to keep the gap. It's there in the song and really bring out the difficulty I wanted in the 1/6 pattern. To me making is one jointed pattern would just be kinda boring.
01:15:522 (170) - k here. You kept following this sound along the map with a k so I see no reasnog to let it a d here. k here will probably screw the entire pattern so I suggest changing it to ddkkddkdk or ddkdddkdk I'm not sure, the stream I have already flows and contrast well with the previous and upcomming note. And making it into something easy like those patterns wouldn't be very fun for this difficulty of a map.
01:17:068 (183,184,185,186,187) - I really don't feel this pattern with the song. Try ddkkd or kdkkd? (IMO kdkkd sounds better). Yeah, I put ddkkd.
01:18:228 - You could add a k here. It works very well, but if you don't want to make this stream long, just ignore it :p just pointing out. I extended out the stream but I didn't like the way to k played so I made it a d instead and changed some previous notes to make it interesting.
01:23:872 (247) - There is almost the same sound as 01:24:027 (248) - so use a k? No. I really wanted to bring out the structure change in this section with the k d d k d d k and I don't thank anything else will bring that out more.
01:26:192 - same as 01:06:398 X
01:32:223 - There is a little stress. You used k on 01:22:016 (230,231,232,233,234) - , where the sound is the same. You could let this pattern ddddk or use ddkdk so it is not repetitive. ddddk or ddkdk are basicly the same as the previous pattern.(ddk) So I don't see how this would make it less repeattive.
01:32:686 (329) - same as 01:23:872 (247). Well, you did that some other times so you can let it as a d to make some variation or dunno, but it still sounds better with k IMO :p I will not point out this again. Read my reply to the first time you said this.
01:33:228 - d works here but again, if you don't want the stream to be long, just ignore it

A week! Quite a long wait, huh? But seems you got already several mods and the maps are quite ok... Whatever.

[General]
- No need to turn on epilepsy warning in Taiko maps since there isn't any storyboard activated. (Anyway, does this option work in Taiko?)

[Wmf's Taiko Muzukashii]
00:16:759 (1) / 00:21:707 (8) / 00:26:656 (15) / 00:31:604 (22) - I prefer consistency when putting big notes. These notes shares the same sound and those are the first beat of every four measures. Apply big notes to all or none?
00:46:449 (55,56,57,58,59,60,61) - Well I prefer patten like 00:36:552 (27,28,29,30,31,32,33,34) than this. Might be too simple for here since mood isn't so calmed down yet.
00:56:192 (75) - Sounds not so bad but no relevant sounds there.
00:58:202 (83,84) / 01:00:676 (92,93) / 01:08:099 (124,125) / 01:10:573 (133,134) - 'k k d' might be better, since I can hear more drum sounds here. Well, of course you cannot fill every drum sounds with notes since this is muz., but using a bit more notes is considerable.
02:47:686 (596) ~ 02:52:635 (612) - Some kind of transitional zone for the next kiai, I guess? Well but patterns are too simple, I think. At least you can put a few more notes to make beats more various?
02:53:872 (614,615) - A unique beat like 'o--o--o-o' can give here some 'points'.

[MM's Taiko Oni]
- Majority of patterns are based on strong drum sounds in the music, not so many complaints to make, I guess.
- Some C&P'ed patterns(01:16:140 (177) ~ 01:55:676 (20) and 01:55:728 (21) ~ 02:35:264 (20) / Kiai / etc.) but I don't care much since the patterns are generally hard and quite complicated so it is hard to notice, I guess. But I still think it would be better to have slight but distinguishable change between them when the mood of both part is a bit different. Adding/removing some notes might work.
- Density of notes might be too consistent, except very first part. At least it would be better to use some remarkable patterns (no, I don't mean hard patterns, rather say... characteristic patterns? Anyway.) but I don't see much, to be honest.
01:28:666 (288,289) / 02:08:254 (132,133) - kdk?
01:39:955 (55,56,57,58,59) / 02:19:543 (55,56,57,58,59) - 'd d kkdk'?
01:42:893 (79,80,81,82) / 02:22:481 (79,80,81,82) - 'ddddk'? (Hmm, maybe only for the later one for slightly more pattern variations?)
02:43:975 (95,96) - I think you can make use some atypical sound in here... I guess you can find some sounds like this from here till kiai so those can be clues for making some more differences between 02:35:316 (21) ~ 02:44:903 (103) and 02:45:212 (104) ~ 02:55:058 (191).
03:44:594 (179) ~ - Similar with above. I see three more repeat of 03:34:697 (99) ~ 03:44:284 (178) in this part so that is why. Or, add some 'fade-in' effect in patterns, I mean, decrease note density slightly by each repeats. Whatever.

I started to make this modpost since yesterday and wmf's one got some updates. Some features might got different already.
Taiko maps are ok. End up filling this with minor pattern suggestions, hmm, I don't like this mod.
