I can't really say something about Higurashi, since I only watched the first season, but I really liked it. Since I'm a guro-fan (only if it looks "realistic", I mean okay it's Anime, but sometimes, the animators really overdo it *cough* Mikami Teru's death in Deat Note.. *cough*) but I stopped watching it after the second episode of Kai, becouse I thought it was pretty boring.. Well, Kai was meant to be an answer to the whole thing. So if you prefer it to be vague, then it's logical if you found it boring.

Kai is a bit slow compared to the first season, but if you liked it you must watch Kai too, don't you want to know the ending of the story?

as much as I want to say Guilty Crown, because I hate this piece of shit, I have to say To Love Ru, because this is just horrible, and not in the Guilty Crown kind of way wehere you laugh at the anime for being so bad, no, it's just horrible. ecchii only works in combination with something else, preferably action because both are pretty brainless, and To Love Ru doesn't have anything. no action, no romance, no horror, not even likeable characters.
