Season 3 will also have 26 episodes.
13 Episodes will be animated by Top Draw Animation
and the other 13 will be animated by DHX Media (Studio B)
I guess DHX wanted some animation jobs too, since Top Draw animated 24 episodes from Season 2
(2 of which were animated by DHX, the Discord Arc)

Yeah it was announced as 13 only but then later removed, (Meghan's tweet that is) but season 3 as far as DHX goes it is said to only be 13 as for my other sources they have sorta went silent and that scares me ;~;
Not sure why they would stop the only thing I can think of is after hitting 65 they are able to go into syndication and sell it to other networks.
But that would be silly they are making the big bucks why in gods name would they stop.

Because that would make them sellouts (if that's the term)
They'll eventually lack in originality and will resort into fan service.
Resorting into making arcs for Background Ponies, making them canon.
While that sounds like a good idea, it shows weakness from the writers and the staff.

And they were asked to never distribute it. Ever.
Yeah well one of them distributed it, and now it's all over the internet.
The EVO Build of Fighting is Magic is now leaked.
